The former Yugoslav republic of Slovenia, which gained its independence in 1991, is slightly smaller than New Jersey. With one toe dipped in the Adriatic and several major rivers and lakes, water sports are popular. To the east, the Alps provide excellent hiking and skiing. Nestled below its castle, the capital of Llubjana is a vibrant, youthful city with a thrilling arts scene, a flotilla of festivals and impressive architecture that runs the stylistic gamut from Renaissance to Art Nouveau.

On a picturesque plateau overlooking the valley of the Soča River stands Pristava Lepena, a charming holiday village built in the old style of the region. Its unique location enables visitors to enjoy the serenity of nature, a wide range of sports activities and the rich natural and cultural heritage of the valley.
All the staff is horribly rude. No one speak Slovenian and they are even mad if you talk Slovenian and don’t understand their language. My husband wanted to ask about some things about the cottages, no one cared about it. No motivation to explain anything. And as he doesn’t speak english well, they didn’t even try to help. The prices are extremely high for everything they offer. Not recommended at all!! Never returning back and sharing bad words of them with everyone!!

Tourist apartments for rent in a quiet village, just 5 minutes drive from the Lake Bled.
This place is soo good. Very nice and friendly hostess. The apartment we had was clean, great view, and was very comfortable. You can use bikes for free to get to Bled, we did that the first day. For a nice bike ride around Lake Bled. We had a great time here. There is a little kitchen with al the amenities you would need and a separate bathroom. We stayed for 2 nights and it was too bad we had to leave!

Opened in 2017, Vila Lipa provides spacious and bright rooms in the heart of Bled. The 19th century house lies in a perfect spot to explore Bled and its surroundings as our house is located just a short walk from the city centre. It's perfect for those who seek comfort and atmosphere in a quiet neighbourhood but still close to Bled's city centre and main attractions. We offer rooms with balconies and a garden view, some of them also with a beautiful castle view. All rooms are exclusively decorated with beautiful images of Brazilian photographer Ana Če that showcase Slovenia's natural beauty. The house has shared facilities, featuring modern and newly renovated bathrooms. Guests may also use the common kitchen, fully equipped. Private parking is available on site. Guests will be able to enjoy activities in and around Bled, like skiing, cycling and hiking.
I called them twice on the phone and the user was unreachable. I wrote to them twice by email: firstly for the information needed due to the quick covid tests, secondly whether I can pay the advance through some other method because I don’t have a credit card. After three days, there is still no answer. Their website is made only for foreign English speaking guests. If a Slovenian wants to see rooms and apartments, find out more about their offer and book accommodation, he must read all this in English. After all, this is Slovenia, Slovene website and it must be in Slovene. Other world languages follow. Spletna stran naj bo tudi v slovenskem jeziku - ne samo opcija "Special offers - TURISTIČNI BONI" .... you know what I mean ....

Me gustó mucho.

The main advantages to this place are the central location, the gorgeous view of Ljubljana from the window, all for a very low price. The main disadvantages are the shared toilets in the hall, the 3 flights of stairs up to the room and the fact that there is no staff present. You hunt for the key, let yourself in and then let yourself out. In the end, I was more than satisfied and would return. .

This is a lovely rural place with very welcoming hosts. We stayed here for just one night on our way from Venice to Lake Bohinj. Unfortunately our flight was delayed so we arrived very late at night. The owners stayed up for us and were lovely despite the inconvenience of our post-midnight arrival. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean, with it's own kitchenette. The breakfast was very good, and again the hosts were lovely and very hospitable. Would definitely recommend if you want a quiet and peaceful place to stay in lovely Slovenia.

The receptionist was helpful giving us tips on places to see and eat upon check in. The rooms are exceptionally clean and you can help yourself to coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Great location on the edge of the centre, close to the bus station and plenty of shops.
