Reviewed By meadylouWe had a wonderful stay at Roo Mansala for our honeymoon. The rooms are beautiful (the photos don’t do them justice), the beds are very comfortable and the view from our balcony over Lion’s Rock and Pidurangala rock is simply stunning. The food is excellent - particularly the egg hoppers that we enjoyed as part of our Sri Lankan breakfast (the best egg hoppers of our whole trip) And the location is incredibly convenient - within walking distance of both rocks and a short tuk tuk ride into the centre of Sigiriya if you fancy heading out for dinner or drinks. The entire Roo Mansala team was incredibly helpful - arranging a fantastic elephant safari for us, and a driver to Polonnaruwa. Thank you for making our stay so perfect!

Reviewed By kenl44We went to Sigiri Lion Lodge to discover the Sigiriya Rock. It was a fantastic place to sleep over. You can reach the gate to get to the Lions Rock by 15min walking. The accommodation is basic but has all you need, a comfy bed and a great and rich breakfast. You can choose on what time you want the breakfast served and it is freshly prepared and very nice. The host is just amazing! Any question you have he is more then happy to answer and support you at your stay or with your further travel! Can really recommend this place.

Secluded retreat
Reviewed By Ruuuth91The location of the hotel is just as stunning as the pictures suggest. You really are in the middle of nowhere surrounded by wildlife, and the infinity pool is fantastic. To get to the hotel you have to take a TukTuk for about 10 mins from the main road. The road itself is a very bumpy dirt track, which meant we didn't feel like leaving for dinner each night as we had originally planned. Luckily the food here (both breakfasts and dinner) is absolutely delicious. Our host was so attentive and couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable. He arranged TukTuks whenever we needed and we were perfectly positioned to reach Sigiriya. Unfortunately during our stay there were a lot of power cuts in the country and this hotel didn't have a generator, so we were eating by candlelight one night. The only other drawback was the aforementioned wildlife, as we had lizards, a mouse and hundreds of ants in our bathroom. In all fairness the ants were sorted with spray, and this is the jungle after all!

Reviewed By Olga_iaroshchukVery good place for good price. Clean rooms. Owner is very friendly and helpful. We arrived at 10 pm, but it was not a problem to checked-in (of course, we spoke with owner before). Breakfast was very tasty. Highly recommended!

Lovely stay at scenic lodge with extremely hospitable host
Reviewed By miriammG1857VKAmazing stay in a lovely lodge with a beautiful balcony view. We’ve enjoyed our host Anil’s hospitality, and he has made our experience at Sigiriya unforgettable. With help from Anil and his Tuktuk, we have seen the ancient city Polonnaruwa, and Pidurangala and Sigiriya rock and we also swam in a local lake with a view of the mountains We have tried both breakfast, lunch and dinner at the lodge, all of which was delicious. All in all, it was a great pleasure staying at Isanka Lion Lodge, and we’ve enjoyed every second of it! Next time we come back, we’ll definitely be staying here again.

Saman is always available and organizes activities for you and gives you lifts everywhere free of charge. Amazing experience!

Reviewed By ericlP4953UNThis place was breathtaking from the moment we pulled up. A little jungle oasis with monkeys swinging in the trees. It was like living in a luxury tree house. Stayed one night before hiking sigiryia but wish we added another. Our room had a beautiful view of sigiryia rock. The staff were unbelievably friendly from start to finish. Arranged a Tuk Tuk to sigiryia rock for 150slr and set us up with a taxi to our next location. A beautiful pool to cool off in and a very adorable restaurant on site with good food. Mini fridge stocked with everything! 10/10 would recommend!

You have got to love it!!
Reviewed By mmvanvlietWe stayed with the kids in the family room. It was great fun and we slept well. No airco but with fans was ok. We had dinner and breakfast with them and both were prepared with love. Place is simple but enjoyable!!!
