I visited the Pepper restaurant with my family which is inside Akash Inn hotel, Shimoga. I was so delighted the way the service done and the taste of food ordered especially tandoori sheek kebab was so delicious. I do visit the restaurant once again with my friends.

We had a day visit. A visit in the morning hours say by 9am or 10 am would give you a glimpse of many elephants to watch - mahouts taking the small and big ones for a bath in the nearby river Tunga . One could touch , feed, and feel the experience with elephants. This is very similar to those who had experienced with elephants training in Dubare Elephant camp.

Well the place is decent lookwise. With parking space for 4/5 cars in front of the Homestay. If you're late then you have to park a little far from the property even though it is not on the main road but unsafe I would say as it is close to backwaters and you would not be able to keep an eye on your car or vehicle. Also there are 2 Brothers who own the place we discovered. One talks over the phone while the other runs the place and is present there physically This helps them contradict their own statements. One of them will fix the rates with you over the phone and the other one will behave and act pretty unaware and dumb to the entire discussion when you reach the Homestay. Just need to bargain and play around a bit. Once you're able to successfully tackle all the above there are some restrictions with the place you better know in advance (with an excuse of it being homestay from the owner) For example 1. Cannot take any footwear in the room as it dirties the room beyond control. 2. Cannot drink or smoke in the room have to do it in the common area. 3. Can't eat in the room, need to do it in the common area. 4. No additional person (more than 2 pax) in any room even though the rooms are so big that they can accomodate 8/9 people. 5. First you'll be told there is no non veg but keep changing over the dishes in the discussion and you'll notice that there are some chicken and some fish options afterall. Owner is a good human haunted by bad experiences I would say, and in the process he is somewhat spoiling the experiences of their guests too but just doesn't realise it yet. We were forced to book one more room just for an single person and that room was literally a dormitory which could accommodate 10 people easily. Discretion advised upon arrival, do not pre-book. Thank you.

This place is situated at the centre of the city , near to railway station and many restaurants , this provide rooms at cheap price, we undertake reservations for functions , suitable for business work
I stayed at MG Palace Lodge for a week and this is a decent hotel to stay at budget rates. There is no service except for Coffee, Tea and water, but conveniently located around very good eateries and near to Railway station and Bus stand. Staff is very courteous and helpful. They would carry hot water for bath at a hint in case you missed the hot water timings. Facilities decent. clean rooms and bathrooms. On request will change sheets and towels everyday. Had a comfortable stay
