Founded by a group of friends who enjoy travelling, My Place Hotel & Lodge offers basic yet comfortable room with free fast WiFi in Kuching. Your comfort, Our priority.
Lovely hotel in the new golden triangle of Kuching. Nicely decorated with local handicraft. Unique to my eyes. Staff is very accomodating, will show you how the hotel works from checkin until checkout. Small kitchen to make a cuppa tea or instant noodle by the rooftop. Suprising a little corner of play area for kids too. Price wise, will not hurt your wallet even for a long stay.

A super nice room with a very affordable price! And it is super clean too. Don’t have to bother about sharing toilet because you will have your own bathroom. Location-wise is very wise. Near to all the attractions in Kuching Town only by foot.

35 MYR per Night. Electricity run at 5pm until 11.30pm. Free Breakfast. We don't provide towels and toiletries.
This is the cheapest accommodation on site and it’s right next to the park which is ideal. We were served a delicious free breakfast every morning (bread, egg, beans and sausage with a hot drink) and there is a nice lunch and dinner menu. Transport to and from the airport can be provided at a small extra cost. The rooms are very simple and can get very hot when there is no electricity to run the fan (which is most of the time). Showers are cold and bathrooms are extremely basic and poorly kept. It can also be very noisy at night and early mornings when the house is waking up- ear plugs and eye mask are a must.

Merdeka Suite Hotel is patronized by many local families and groups. It is close to the airport (5 minutes). It looks beautiful from the outside. I did not choose to stay here but was with a group of Malaysian friends who picked this hotel. I was in the studio suite which was spacious as it has a sofa/ TV area, a dining table and kitchenette. However, the place is not well maintained. The toilet door was moldy with a rusty hooks to hang your towels, the sink had cement on the edges, the 'bedroom area' was carpeted which does not work well in the tropics, the sofa had a smell of sweat and it is certainly not in a pristine condition. Next door is the Merdeka Mall which has the Ta Kiong supermarket and a Mr DIY shop. Many shops are closed down so the mall is rather empty. Across the road are many eateries. It is safer to cross the road using the overhead bridge outside the Mall.

Set on the coastal city of Miri, M Empire Motel offers minimalist-designed accommodation within the city centre. House in a bold black and orange building, the motel is nestled amongst many eateries and coffee shops. M Empire offers free WiFi access, and private parking. Designed in neutral colours, the rooms at the motel are fitted with a flat-screen TV. They come with in-room amenities such as a kettle and clothes rack. They come with either a shared or private bathroom that is equipped with a standing shower and hand bidet. Bilingual staff at the property are available 24 hours at the front desk to assist you with queries. Car hire is also possible.
Where do I start? The “bathroom” is basically a toilet in a shower cubicle inside the room, it doesn’t have a roof and the room we were in the door didn’t even close properly so I could basically see and hear EVERYTHING. Just let that sink in for a moment...so if you want some privacy while going to the toilet don’t stay here. The windowless rooms all smell disgusting, somewhere someone was smoking so if you didn’t have the extractor fan on, the smoke would creep through the vent into you room. The third room we were in also had damp, which is also visible as you walk up the stairs to the hotel. So generally all the rooms stink of something. It’s not clean at all. In the first room there was hair and dirt all over the bed - it looked like it hadn’t been changed since the last occupant. The next room we stayed in the toilet was covered in wee under the seat and an explosive poo in the bowl - we had to ask twice for the lazy staff to sort it out. The last room was ok, just a cobweb. If you’re staying on the 1st floor you will be promptly woken up at 7.30am when the staff arrive and start screaming, laughing, chatting loudly and watching YouTube on their phones. Like do you not have any work to do? Because I can sure see all the places you need to be scrubbing. In two of the rooms on the 2nd floor there was no bed frame, just a mattress on the floor. The sheets are all old, stained and bobbly, one of the towels we had had a massive dirty mark on it, and another had a big rip. The owners clearly don’t care and neither do the staff.

Not bad hotel in Miri with free parking spots right in front of the hotel. Rooms are big and the bathroom is relatively nice. Our room was ready at 10:00 what was great! It is possible to buy drinks for at reception

I've been here several times, due to last minute flight changes, and never made reservations. This is one of the more cheaper hotels, so it does a pretty good job for what it's worth. All I needed was a place to sleep and store my belongings. My room had a delightfully noisy AC and a turn of the century T.V. It does get loud, since the hotel is near an intersection and several bars. I liked the cafe next door, where I would get my coffee and soup - the owner is really sweet. If you arrive late to the hotel, they sometimes lock the door, so all you have to do is knock or ring the bell - most hotels in Kuching lock the front door after hours. They offer wifi, but it was really slow. So, if you plan to spend most of your time away from the hotel, it's a safe place to stay and store your baggage that's near a lot of good restaurants, bars and cafes. It's also next to a cat monument, which I thought was neat. Although the accommodations are average, I'm giving Kapit a "Very Good" rating, because they are reliable and the staff are helpful.

What this hotel can offer your is it room. Spacious and clean. We were staying at end floor super deluxe room. Easily can accomodate my family. 3 kid and 2 adult. Just remember this is budgeted hotel, so these are few things you must ready to accept : 1. No lift. Have to walk up the staircase. 2. Only provide towel and soap. No drinking water, making cofee facilities, no fridge and etc which you might experience at standard hotel. The positives: 1. Nice bathroom with hot water shower, water pressure good. Clean and well maintained. 2. Unlimited parking space. 3. There are many restaurant nearby.
