We were here last year and decided to return this year. The place is still like paradise. Nice swimming pool with great view, a room with a wonderful view over the valley, abundance of artificial flowers within the villa (which is actually humorous) and lovely smelling real flowers in the garden. The breakfast is good as in most places where we went, and the dinner is good/very good. The personnel doesn't speak english, but that is no problem, because they are so sweet. And they will try to help in any way possible. I will go again.

"Le Cisterne B&B" and guest house is on the main square of Amelia's historical city centre. Amelia, located in the southern part of the Umbria region, is one of the most ancient hilltop towns. Its pre-roman origins are attested by the 'cyclopic' walls which still surround the town today. At a short driving distance, you can find places like Orvieto, Terni, Perugia, Todi, Narni, Spoleto and Pienza. Rome is about 1 hour away by car or by train and Florence about 2 hours. "Le Cisterne" is an independent apartment composed of 2 rooms with bathroom (6-8 beds), a fully equipped kitchen and a little hanging garden with a view on the square, ideal for your summer breakfast. You can stay in a room as a b&b or rent the whole apartment.
Silvia is an excellent host. The beds are extremely comfortable and the rooms are spacious, well-furnished, and clean. The location is perfect and the inner garden makes for a authentic Italian experience. A great choice for your stay in Amelia or to get to know Umbria.

We rented three rooms (all very spacious, clean and comfy) for a family reunion over Easter. The owner was very helpful and let us take over the entire space to celebrate the reunion and our parents' 60th wedding anniversary. A great stay!

In the green heart of Umbria, our accommodation is spacious rooms and suites, all equipped with bathrooms with 4 piece, towels and hairdryer, the vast majority of these private terrazza overlooking the town and river, which passes through the this center, making the place a haven of peace and escepcionales accommodations. We have lift and room suitable for wheelchairs, with everything needed for access to the bathroom and restaurant. Also have a renowned restaurant in the area located in the same structure, yielding more enjoyable stay, as it is not necessary to go to enjoy the typical cuisine of the region, with typical local dishes, always prepared by family is managed for three generations. Site offers free car park for guests and wifi internet. The special hubicacion between the mountains and valleys of the proximity of the river Nera, makes possible the realization of perfect activities in contact with nature like hiking, miradones routes, horseback riding, paragliding, canyoning and even water activities as cayak and rafting, with reputable companies. Expect them to spend a good stay with us. Best regards, Ai3ARCHI family.
These are just the most stunning people. So hospitable and kind. The rooms were beautiful and the food was simply out of this world. True Italian hospitality. We did not want to leave. Everything was very reasonably priced too!

Please come in a charming stone and brick farmhouse nestled in nature, surrounded by olive trees and a privileged and picturesque landscape. That's the dream of those who live in cities, where contact with nature, clears the mind and unleashes a deep inner peace. The estate lies at the foot of the medieval village of Collelungo in a strategic position with respect to the many historic cities of Umbria: Todi, Perugia, Orvieto, Assisi. The house is divided into 3 large and comfortable apartments, all independent, and carefully designed and tastefully decorated, equipped with every comfort and heating takes its name from elements of nature, they are diversified and are characterized by their own peculiarities.
This is a beautifully looked after and presented property, has a great aspect with lovely views and is set in peaceful gardens with a great swimming pool. From the first point of contact with the owner Monica her correspondence was very efficient, friendly and helpful and this continued on the day of our arrival with a lovely welcome from Monica and her daughter who live in a town nearby but attend the property daily morning and evening for maintenance of the grounds and pool. We stayed in the largest appt , Terra, which has two doubles and a single bedroom upstairs with a shower room with toilet on the same level. The two doubles have lovely views out to the west. Downstairs there is a kitchen diner room with a very well appointed kitchen , and large fridge. Monica left a welcome pack of some food and drink items for us which was a nice touch. On the east facing veranda outside the door there is a swing seat and outside table and chairs and in addition to this there is a shaded outdoor seating area looking out over the garden and pool with easy chairs and table and dining chairs in the garden which is for the use of this apartment. My only criticism of the appt would be that the indoor lounging area with sofa immediately next to the door and armchair tucked under the spiral staircase is a bit cramped and awkward, however certainly in the summer this is not an issue as we mainly relaxed and ate in the outdoor areas. The standard of building , appliances and furnishings is excellent and a lot of thought has obviously gone into the conversion of this building and it is very well looked after. The Windows all had separate fly screens which allowed you to enjoy evening breezes without any worry of mosquitoes at night. There is aircon throughout - this is used on a pay per use and a meter reading for the aircon units is used to calculate any extra payment due at the end of the week. The pool area is well looked after and very pleasant- each appt has their own allocated loungers and seating area. My preference would be for more shaded areas close to the pool but you do have plenty of shade a few metres away. The nearest town Marsciano is very close by a short drive down the hill and has three good supermarkets as well as a few nice restaurants- the Be Happy diner was a standout favourite although to British ears it's name sounds unpromising! Marsciano itself is not really a tourist destination, however you are very close to a number of interesting places to visit e.g. Todi, Perugia and road access to places further afield is very convenient. Had a fantastic week here, place and location great and Monica and her family could not be more helpful - I highly recommend this!

Lovely apartment which is always welcoming. Here you can be independent, relax in the silence and cool off in the pool. Places to read in the shade and recharge your batteries. Well situated for trips out into the surrounding Umbrian countryside.
