We were staying at Camping Barco Reale and had booked to come to Borgo La Casetta on our first Saturday in San Baronto. The agriturismo is off of the track from the back of the campsite and you walk through the olive groves to get there. Lovely warm welcome and given a choice of tables. Lovely hosts, very friendly and made us feel so at home. For a set price (29 euros per person) you are treated to nine lovely courses of traditional Tuscan food and drinks, all cooked superbly. Local Chianti flows, chatter is great to hear and the aromas from the kitchen are superb! Cold cuts, cheese, bread, pasta, chicken, bruschetta, pork, beef, vin santi, cantucci, panna cotta, limoncello, grappa, espresso, roasted potatoes and carrots.....wow! We booked for the following weekend as well and some of the courses were changed fo rus so we could try other dishes, Left happy and full on both occasions! Thanks to all for a superb couple of evenings.

This is a beautiful property with a stunning view of the surrounding landscape. The property is updated, the room was comfortable, and the setting was very peaceful. At first, it seems like a beautiful villa hotel. The gentleman who checked us in was extremely welcoming and polite. He was available throughout our stay and always courteous. The setting was lovely, but location-wise, the property is 1-2 hours away from anything you would want to come see in Tuscany. The reason for the 2-star is the utter lack of privacy and what I felt was misleading about calling this "agriturismo." This is more in line with a British B&B in that you're basically renting a room in someone's home. While it may sound "charming" to have the entire family constantly around, it means you cannot do anything without being watched very closely. Whether you use the pool, go upstairs, come downstairs, go in, go out, you're being watched very closely and you have no privacy whatsoever to enjoy your time without being watched. And if you have a mixed race family, like I do, you will be watched extra closely. If you leave your room at lunchtime, you will feel like you just ruined lunch for the entire family because the family eats in the lobby. Again, it may sound charming at first but after you see the few annoyed faces looking at you, it won't be charming anymore. On one evening we were determined to sit outside and enjoy a drink with the stunning view: we were out of luck. The family had rented the entire patio to a party and we were prisoners in our own room. Leaving or coming in the middle of the party was met with very annoyed glances. My family was hungry and I tried to bring some food in the room. I was told eating in the room is not allowed. Therefore, you cannot eat in the room, you cannot use the patio, you cannot leave the room without annoyed glances. Definitely not what I paid 200 dollars per night for.

In the midst of 4 hectares of olive groves lies the villa built in the 13th century. After a thorough restoration in the original Tuscan style, we are now able to offer 3 suites and 4 double rooms with all comforts: air conditioning, satellite TV, WIFI, refrigerator, coffee / tea, microwaves in suites, two suites and a double rooms have private terrace and garden. The rooms are luxuriously furnished with antique furniture of the XIX/XX century carefully restored, large swimming pool and Jacuzzi with breathtaking view over Montecatini Terme
Loved this place! Only regret is we got in later than expected and missed out on using the pool. The room was gorgeous, the staff kind and breakfast was yummy! Definitely recommend more than one night at La Piana!

The house Have seven apartment and is located in the Tuscan countryside on the hills of Montealbano, bordered by the golf that you can reach on foot, find everything to take advantage of the restaurant at a discounted price. The place is very quiet and is the ideal starting point to visit Vinci, Florence, Lucca, Pisa and the Versilia coast and the beautiful spa of Montecatini Terme. A relaxing holiday.

We spend 4 nights there. There is only one guest room so we were the only guests which was a nice surprise. There is a beautiful view from the terrace! Luisiana, owner of this place, is very friendly, helpful and warm person. Unfortunately, she doesn't speak English much (and we don't speak Italian) but still, we were able to communicate and she recommended us beaches or cities to visit in the area. Our room was not that big but very cozy, clean and "Tuscany style", with AC and TV and a bathroom. Breakfast was great - every day fresh pastries and bread with home made jams and fruits from the garden with very good coffee, served at the terrace. It felt like home. :)

The four comfortable apartments are just a 10-minute drive from San Marcello Pistoiese, down a secluded strada bianche (country lane) in a renovated stone farmhouse surrounded by fruit groves and woodland - with a panoramic shared pool a short stroll away.
Il Gufo is in an amazing setting, surrounded by forest and hills with beautiful views from all aspects. The rustic feel to the accommodation works perfectly with the environment, nature is right on the doorstep. The beautiful swimming pool is very cleverly placed, away from the farmhouse just a short stroll away, with the sun shining until late evening, it was a pleasure to come back to after days out. San Marcello is a very short drive away, with a handful of good restaurants. We particularly enjoyed shopping for local produce here, tucked away behind the main square are some fabulous shops with very friendly owners providing fresh pasta, cheeses, meats, olives, bread, etc., Il Vinaio was a great find, a great selection of wines were on offer, just take your empty bottles to be filled! If you like walking/hiking this is a great location, Sandro is full of knowledge and will provide you with some good walking routes and maps, there is a very good network of walks close by, offering easy to more challenging routes. Il Gufo is in a great location for sightseeing, the tiny hilltop villages in the surrounding area are probably not in the guide books but that's the charm, unspoilt by tourism, they are definitely worth exploring. If you want to venture further Lucca, Pisa, Florence, S.Gimignano, Volterra, Barga, the Gafagnana region are all easily done. We had a fabulous stay at Il Gufo, Sandro is the most perfect host, so helpful, nothing is too much trouble, we will definitely visit again in the future. (With regards to the track, please don't let it put you off booking, it is well tended by Sandro, a lot of it is Tarmac, during our stay there was a tiny fiat 500 which tackled it with no problem, we were in a Seat Leon and the other vehicles were just normal family cars, no issues! Without this drive you wouldn't be in such a stunning location)

The room is definitely very elegant, though slightly small. The finishing touches are definitely refined and embellish the room a lot. Some of these choices may or may not be liked, for example there is no real closet for clothes but simply a bar with hangers, or in the bathroom there is no bidet. The location allows you to reach the city center with a walk of about 25 minutes.
