Less than a kilometer outside of Roccaraso just before the turnoff to Rivisondoli if you look carefully will see a small sign for Rifugio Le Chevalier. A modest inn converted from stables, Le Chevalier offers one of the best choices in Roccaraso for comfort, hospitality and price. For 35 euros including a huge breakfast I got a spotlessly clean room with a king-size bed, another small room with bunkbeds and a small but adequate bathroom. In the morning Anna, the proprietor laid out a breakfast of a homemade apple cake, a homemade apricot cake, fruit, juice, cereals, coffee or tea. When I sat down to drink my coffee she said, "Here's your warm cornetto". Le Chevalier also has a small bar for an apres-ski nightcap. All this and only minutes from 3 or 4 ski areas. What a fabulous find.

In 'enchanting National Park of Abruzzo in a fairytale there is "The refuge robin" a small guest house in the countryside, where guests are welcomed in a warm and friendly atmosphere, spending a holiday of complete relaxation.
The B&B is at the end of a closed street and ends up into a small grass opening. I would say it is perfect for people with kids as they can play around without any issues. The B&B is 8 minutes away from the city center by walk. We went there as a couple and we got the room with a view on the mountain. The scenery is just magic especially when you wake-up in the morning. The staff were very helpful and kind. Large and comfortable rooms with a proper bathroom space. Very clean and well furnished. Definitely a good option to stay in Pescasseroli

Those who come down from the Mountains of Passo Godi or from the Mountains of Alfedena see the opening of valley where the dark green of the beechtrees mixes the light blue of the Lake of Barrea. In this scenary of unusual beauty Villetta Barrea is descending gradually towards the luxuriant plateau where the river Sangro is flowing. The hotel is well situated on the lakeside in a quiet spot. The complex is all on one level with independent entry to each of the units which are of good size with en-suite facilities and TV.There is a family kitchen furnished with attention to detail and in harmony with the overall aspect of the complex
The owners were excellent hosts and talented chefs. The room was spotless and comfortable, with tasteful decor. There are three towns close by, and all provided a unique travel experiences. Les Chalets was an excellent base for visiting all of them. We can't say enough good things about this Inn, you must stay if you are in the vicinity.

Located at 800m on the Ocre Mountain Area, 10km from L'Aquila city, 18 from Campo Felice e Ovindoli ski area, 20km from Gran Sasso. The Chalet can offer you the great experience to live "on the wood". This natural element and the amazing around area will give you a chance to visit "pure" sites, by simply walking or by mountain bike. For all of you who wants, we can organize every level excursions starting for simple walking to more difficult ropes, in the summer as well in the Winter.
We visited this chalet last November. The host Igor is very friendly and helpful and speaks good English. The chalet has more bedrooms that can be divided between guests with a maximum of 2 ‘groups’, so every group has its own bathroom and toilet (1 upstairs and 1 downstairs) The kitchen and living room are shared. The kitchen equipment is very extended and all the basics for preparing food are in stock. There is a fee for using the kitchen. Igor is preparing an extended breakfast every morning; his wife prepared very nice sweetnesses every morning. The owner does not live in the same building. Igor is a very active person, so he can advise you about a lot of activitities in the Abruzzo area. The chalet has a private parking and a garden which you can use. L’Aquila is reachable by car in 5 minutes. We really liked our stay at Lo Chalet di Ocre and would definitely recommend.
