We were moved here due to an overbooking on their sister hostel 'Izba', so we hadn't booked here. It is also called 'Barbados Hostel' on the outside. The hostel is quiet poor, probably the worst I stayed in Russia. The room was very cramped and also very hot, making it uncomfortable to move around, pack the bag or sleep. The common room/kitchen was also very small and cramped for the number of guests. There is a TV constantly on with Russian TV shows at a loud volume so not possible to relax/read etc. Also the hostel wasn't so clean and showers were very poor. You can't use the full strength as then the water sprays onto the floor. The only positives were the location (less than 5 mins from the train station) and the woman working on reception. She was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, however the night staff were the complete opposite, uninterested and unhelpful. Overall, a very poor hostel lacking atmosphere.

It’s about 900 rubles by taxi to get here one way depending. Your first clue of how bad it is going to be is the dirt/gravel road leading up to the area for a couple of miles, lots of holes and puts - now we understood why so many taxis cancelled. The usual lack of signage. There is zero view, although they said on the phone it was a table reservation with a water view. You can’t see through trees. Menu isn’t good. Food is blah. Poor beer selection. Poor service, your empty glass will sit on your table forever even after you get your meal and ask for another. That’s after they do the “drop the plate and run” on your order. Make sure you ask them to bring all meals at the same time or your other guests will finish as you get your meal. Yeah, it’s like that. Check your receipt for added fees for poor service!!! All the servers are basically village girls with zero training who wouldn’t know what service even means - they look at you like you are from another planet. At dusk the mosquitoes come out to eat you. It’s very hot here, at least ten degrees F hotter than the embankment. Getting a taxi back out to pick you up is a hassle too, they don’t like to come way out here. This place felt like a show off guy with a Ferrari but it was just a plastic kit car and underneath was a VW bug. All talk but nothing really. Very, very overpriced. There is a little waterside shack down the stairs which is actually better - nice view on the water, decent menu, self serve beers and ice cream cones (self-service is a luxury after the Veranda service). Same mosquitos at dusk though. Only a few tables have shade so if it’s a hot day and the sun is blazing it will be really hot. Some people like that though by the water. Still, I prefer the breezes you get at the embankment.

Taejnaya is very clean and well-appointed. Rooms and bathrooms are very well-apppointed. Mattresses are comfortable. Lighting and outlets are very adequate. No hot water in room, but hot shower room down the hall with clean, separate private shower stalls. Restaurants on site, very good and reasonably-priced food. Breakfast is only $4- $5 pp. Wi-fi available altho not working when we stayed there. Tewjnaya is a great little place to stay.

Nakhodka is a port city. Not too many tourist attractions, just beautiful nature spoilt in some places by man. For such a place, Gorizont is an outstanding hotel, with a big hall, big rooms and even a gym and a swimming pool (impossible to get in, but still). The breakfast room is too small, so I never had proper breakfast. No bar attached to the hotel. The rooms are big and have different design (if one can call that design). No writing desk though. All in all, no alternatives to this place.

A bit difficult to find at first as seem hiding in a small lane. Hotel room is moderate size. Hotel has no lift if you are staying second floor upwards. Host dont speak much English at all. No luggage storage apparently as our group of 11 has to store near the reception area. No breakfast will be provided. Though the bed is very soft which most of us don't like but we were all so dead tired. So we slept through. Hotel is walking distance to shopping and some attractions

Vladivostok... One of the most beautiful cities on the Pacific coast. Ancient architecture mixed with new buildings, endless hills surrounded by the ocean and gorgeous views of bays and bays. The lights of the sea city shine and fascinate, beckoning creative people, travelers, businessmen into their arms. And in order for the trip to leave an indelible impression, you just need to choose the right place to stay... We offer you and your business partners and friends to use the services of Aquilon. Aquilon artfully combines the revived spirit of history with the most modern amenities, accessories and a warm refined atmosphere, the entire interior fascinates and gives guests the opportunity to feel like in an Ancient Castle. The amazing atmosphere magically combines with the coziness and comfort of the rooms, from the simple and refined in the classic category, to the superbly luxurious in the luxury category. There is not a single repetition in the setting or color scheme, increased attention to every detail of the interior. The traditions of antiquity are closely intertwined with modern technologies and therefore the "journey into the past" proceeds with special comfort. A unique background is created that evokes a feeling of coziness and comfort of a private residence. The panoramic view of the Golden Horn Bay gives a special charm. The city center is just a few minutes away, which is ideal for business meetings.
Stayed here for 4 nights and was satisfied, but nothing more. There were no available rooms with 2 beds so my father and I had to share a bed for the entire duration. Additonally, our room was not cleaned at all during the stay until we requested personally for it, and even then only the towels were switched and the garbage taken out. The floor and bed were left untouched. I should also mention there are no English speaking staff in the hotel, so be prepared to use google translator or have a Russian language speaker on-hand if you are a foreigner. The sauna and pool area are advertised as being included in the hotel price, but these actually must be rented at a price of 2000r/hr, which is equivalent to about $66. Overall nice views though, and located in a quaint area, but still quite a hike from the interesting parts of town.
