Nice, cosy, lovely place, within nature. Excellent and sympathetic service provided by Eduardo, the owner, and staff. Very nice spot, nice suite designed profiting the rocks of the ancient house. You feel like home. Excellent breakfast. What a place to rest and spend some happy time. Walking distance of 800m from Spain, where one can freely walk. Really worth it!

We stayed at this lovely little hotel for one night on our way down to the Algarve. It was absolutely delightful, we couldn't have stayed anywhere better. The owner's went out of their way to make us welcome, including making us a delicious 3 course dinner which we had with a really nice bottle of local wine. The room itself was spacious, clean and beautifully designed. A big plus for us was that they also accept dog's. All in all an excellent experience which we have no hesitation in recommending.

This hotel was a bit old fashioned but very nicely appointed and beautiful rooms with comfortable beds. If you are a TV addict, then the TVs are a little small, so be warned. The free breakfast was nothing fancy, but plenty of options and as much as you could eat, so no problems there. The only disappointment (and it was an ongoing, stressful one), was the check.in process. We made a special request when booking and we got a response from the hotel to agree to the request, but when we arrived after 6 hours on the road, we were told it was not possible. We needed to argue the case and show the response email from the hotel to get them to agree. The subject was revisited when we returned from sight-seeing at 8pm. Was really unpleasant and we felt hounded, guilty and unwelcome.

The Casa is lovely. Elizabeth (I think!) the hostess, was gracious, very helpful, and fluent in English. But be warned, Vale do Peso is a VERY tiny village. The Casa provides an excellent, generous and varied buffet breakfast but after that, you're pretty much on your own--only a small bar/cafe and extremely limited groceries available in town. So you must go to Crato or another nearby town for meals. This was an excellent base for exploring the Portalegre/Marvao area by car! And the citizens of Vale do Peso are very proud of their community. There were beautiful, customized tiles on streetcorners and restored historical artifacts such as wells.

Beautiful eco-glamping with full amenities. Super comfortable beds and linen. Good restaurant. Great staff, very nice and professional. The owners were particularly nice and welcoming. A fantastic project, we'll be back!

Agritourism with all the modern conveniences, in the middle of an estate where traditional farming has been restored and where there is perfect harmony with nature and the environment. The house is literally surrounded by grapevines, olive trees, fruit trees and vegetable gardens. Like the old house, it also has a small cellar on the ground floor where the grapes from the estate are worked. Tradition and wine command the entire project and the rural way of life.
The place is a hymn to deserved rest. If you don´t need a rest... go for the wine. The rooms, the bed linen, are a showcase of good taste and superior quality. If you don´t value this... go for the wine. The wine is made from century old vines. One can taste either a wine made in a traditional way (open pipe), a Don Juan wine, witty and unavoidable; or a wine melting elegance with a firm structure, a Coppelia wine, or a sexy untuous wine, a Jazz wine. If you don´t value this... go for the place.
