I have been going to the San Juan for 40 years! I have stayed at every place available, and have always had a great time! Rainbow lodge and the Gill family are the best! This is where I have been staying for over 20 years now, Steve and his family do a great job from the food to the fishing! I already have two trips booked this year!

San Juan River Lodge. From two and three bed suites to “Chuck’s Place” which has four bedrooms and can accommodate up to ten people, we have something for everyone. We can make arrangements for large group trips including lodging, meals, fly fishing, lessons and guided fishing. We will customize your trip for your group. Our lodge restaurant, the Back Cast Cafe, is rated as one of the top restaurants in the Four Corners area.
Great blue ribbon river, upbeat fly shop staff (Tabitha), great restaurant service (Jacob), clean and conveniently located rooms, and world-class guide service by experienced, full-time professionals very familiar with year-round fishing on the San Juan. Chris Taylor runs a first-class operation, and has done so for twenty plus years. His staff is exceptional, and Marcus Rubo and Chris, as well as his other guides, work very hard in providing a memorable experience. Put Fisheads on your "bucket list." You will catch fish, and lots of them. And you might just catch a fish of a lifetime.

Abe's Motel and Fly Shop has been on the San Juan River since 1958. We also have a comfortable lounge, motel, restaurant, RV / trailer park, boat storage facilities, and a grocery store. We were the first to explore the river for trout fishing, the first to guide on the river, and the first to fly fish the San Juan in winter months. Born 'n' Raised Guided Fly fishing Adventures offers wading or float excursions on the river, for a successful and memorable fly fishing adventure! We are a family owned and operated business
Jay, Bernie, David - well" everyone" in the fly shop were very friendly and helpful with selecting flies for us and setting us up with a great guide (Rock Smith). The food in the restaurant was excellent - ate there 3 nights. The staff (many of whom are family members of the late owner, Abe Chavez) were all so friendly and accommodating. The motel rooms themselves provide the basics, clean room, bedding, etc. and the shower had great water pressure and hot water....perfect for the price. As long as the prices don't increase, I will stay there again. The local fishing on the San Juan River was very good.

Las Verandas was a real treat and a wonderful base camp for our fishing trip. Such a great location to wind down after a long day on the river. Tim was fantastic and look forward to visiting again soon!
