Pench Tree Lodge is the refuge of the Au courant, adventurous and Eco sensitive 'Mowgli'. It is located in the Karmajhiri area of Pench National Park and is being set up in a large estate of 36 acres. This will be the first lodge to be set up in this underdeveloped zone and supports are conservation policy of not overcrowding areas and making them unsustainable with over exposure to tourism. The Lodge offers multiple wildlife and village activities within and around the lodge. Only 6 Tree Houses are being built in a large forested estate keeping with the Pugdundee policy of minimal foot print on top priority.
Well, I have to be honest here…..this place really was amazing! I loved every part of this. My wife and I stayed in one of the treehouses and that was a real gem of an experience. Great facilities at the room and the main house was very well run. Great to cool off in the pool after a day in the jungle. The safaris we took were very well organised, Shiv was our naturalist and was very knowledgeable. The food provided for these excursions was great and the lemon water very well received in the 45degree heat! I really would recommend this place.

Where should I begin with… the booking, the hospitality or the safari experience… because right from the beginning the experience was incredible. The booking handled by Ms Hema so deftly and I have to add so patiently because the queries she answered that I had had at all odd hours. Secondly… the hospitality by the GM Mr Bahl and his team comprising of Kanchan, Ajit(restaurant) and others. I had requested for a room to freshen up as we were reaching there by 10am and the checkin was at 2:00 pm and to our surprise we were given a suite room to stay till our checkin. Now to go to the highlight of the trip… our safari… we sighted a tiger. The two naturalists Bhuri Singh and Satyendra Pathak were excellent and as a result our kids spotted three tigers. Last but not the least… the food .. The breakfast, lunch and dinner with hi-tea was excellent. The spread was decent and the team took pains to arrange for everything that we wanted. Thankyou team Syna for a wonderful memory. Looking forward to another visit.

Bandhavgarh Jungle Lodge. Access:• Jabalpur Airport (200 Km) • Khajuraho Airport (270 Km) • Umaria Railway Station (32 Km) • Kanha (280 Km)Located within walking distance of Bandhavgarh National Park’s main gate, the lodge has been developed on the theme of an Indian village, with twelve thatched double–bedded cottages around an inner courtyard. There are two separate villas with further accommodations of eight rooms. A spacious thatched dining room serving home cooked Indian food and Continental cuisines, becomes the center point of activities like campfire performances, lectures and star gazing. The estate has meadows that attract deer and fruit trees that are home to birds and butterflies. An occasional alarm call from the jungle close by alerts you to the tiger on the prowl! Bandhavgarh Jungle Lodge provides a professional resident naturalist, a library with wildlife books and magazines. Laundry services and recreational activities are also available – Jungle safaris in open 4x4 vehicles, bird watching, nature or village walks, elephant camps, and visits to the weekly market local fair or village schools. Bar-be-que dinners and campfire nights with tribal dances are some of the surprises in store for you!
Eleven family members of the age group of 7 to 79 with different temperaments, likes, dislikes and what not... but as we entered in the Bandhavgardh Jungle lodge everyone turned into the person who was longing for the purity of nature. While I and few other members were looking for a modest stay others wanted luxurious five star stay. Jungle lodge provided everything each one of us expecting for. It has simplicity and warmth as well as the feel of luxurious stay. Lots of areas for outdoor play, beautiful dinning area with books and indoor games and huge wooden swing :) Shivaraj , the naturalist of Jungle lodge provided us with interesting wild stories of bandhavgardh history and tigers ruled in that forest. He himself is a very good wildlife photographer. Rooms are cozy and specious. Bathrooms have ample natural light throughout the day. Food is local, tasty, variety of dishes cooked by the chef. The way their staff serves food, you do not feel , you are in the hotel but in someone's home :) And on the top of it if you get to listen Chital distress calls right from the terrace of the hotel... what else you want! Hotel is located just outside of the core area and half km from Tala Gate. Absolute Delight ! Thanks Aniket Gupta ( [email protected] /9158146581 ) for arranging this trip for us and strongly recommending this place to stay.

Forsyth Lodge, Satpura is a stylish and an environmentally friendly lodge that is engaged with the park management and the local community in a pioneering effort to create an unprecedented jungle experience in one of the most exciting tiger habitats in the world. This is an effort to create an exceptional wilderness experience for those who truly revel in wild places far from the jeep borne hordes that have defaced so many other parks. Here we provide you with an opportunity to explore the jungle on foot, by canoes, jeeps and motorized boats. You can also experience the nocturnal creatures that the jungles reveal by sitting in our machaan which is set in the 44 acres of wilderness around the lodge. We have also been awarded the highest PUG rating for our outstanding environment friendly operations by Tour Operators For Tigers, TOFT.
My time here has been beautiful beyond measure. A wonderfully designed place, with a brilliant touch of art and wildlife. Makes for a serene getaway amidst wilderness. The staff here is so hospitable, they make the guests feel at home. From the way they receive, speak with warmth and that lip smacking food with lots of varieties, is just so good. The safari experience with them, is a class apart. Because a naturalist will accompany. They know the forests and wildlife very well, so the stories and information they give, truly enriches the whole experience. If you are looking for a fulfilling holiday, Forsyth Lodge is where you should be!

Winner of Best Responsible Tourism Project and Best Eco-Friendly Forest Lodge Awards from Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board Kanha Village Eco Resort is best wildlife lodge adjacent to a pond & dense forest in the buffer forest of Kanha. Cottages and rooms made with clay and mud structures is our speciality. Fully equipped rooms and cottages made in ethnic style will give you a perfect wildlife holiday experience. Our inhouse restaurant serves Indian, Continental, Chinese and ethnic food. Ours is only restaurant in Kanha having separate kitchen for veg and non-veg cooking, a boon for Jain and pure vegetarians. Choupal - the TV lounge and library is a good place to sit and chat in the evenings. Swimming pool, Table tennis, Carom and Chess facilities can be enjoyed by one and all. Take a jungle walk, visit tribal village home, do cycling or just relax in one of the Mandaps. With grass roofing, family pool in cottages and vicinity to forest Kanha Village Eco Resort is best modern property made in vernacular style in and around Kanha.
Well, I am at loss of words to start the review. First of all, Kanha Eco Village Resort owned by Raanvara Resorts is a very old property. We had booked 4 mud cottages for 2 days. Upon our check in, we were shocked to see the cottages (even village huts would be cleaner) which had lizards, ants all over the bed. The wash room area was invaded by insects as if booking was done by them. Freeze was not working and just opening the door caused a lot of smell as if it has been non working since ages. Air conditioners in 3 out of 4 rooms seemed to be of the pre independence era. Upon insistence about all these, manager at the resort told us to wait for few minutes so that he can get the rooms cleaned which he forgot to do before our arrival and he assured us that there wont be any lizards, insects, etc afterwards. How hilarious? They have a splash pool attached to the mud huts which are non working and in absolute shambles, they had told us that splash pools are working just a day before our check in. The water boiler in the huts were so dirty that we didnt even touched it. Their whole booking process is done at Nagpur and resort guys have no authority to take a call. Manager would call their Nagpur Number for all our concerns. We insisted for our cancellation which they agreed without any refund. The nagpur booking office is managed by Ms. Simran (as told to us) who only has power to book the resort and accept money. Other than that, she will say that she does not have any authority and she also refused to give contact numbers of the management/ owners. Also, we had booked the safaris through their resort, which Ms Simran told us that if they cancel the resort booking, she would not allow the safaris; though we had paid Rs 9000 per safari (3 safaris). Manager at the resort was kind enough to accomodate us for the safaris but Ms Simran blatantly refused for it. We were told these are VIP's safaris but just as the resort, the condition of the gypsies was also below average. So, we were left helpless and we had to stay back at the reosrt. Manager changed 3 mud huts to rooms which were just OK.. Manager and staff at the resort agreed to our observations but they were also as helpless as us. Till now, the name of the owner is kept secret to us for reasons best known to these guys. Location is poor. Food is average. Swimming pool is average. No amenities. Kids feel all lost at the resort with no play area. Ambience at the resort is very poor. Dishing out anything in name of being close to nature or with nature is just unacceptable. The only saving grace at the reosrt is the staff who were genuine people but as mentioned earlier helpless. Manager at the resort tried to help us through all this but he had limited resources and authority. Then we rescheduled our stay from 2 days to 1 day. In fact, our first day was all lost in search of an alternate stay for the 2nd day. We had given cancelled 2 extra beds well in advance before check in but we had paid advance for the same. Upon check out we asked for refund. The manager agreed but said he had no money at his disposal and again called Ms Simran who told us the amount of Rs. 3000 for 2 extra beds was adjusted as cancellation charges for the 2nd day. The manager at the resort tried to convince her that they cannot behave like this with guests where there was no mistake on the part of the guests, but she again refused. She also cut our call mid way. This was the worst ever experience any one of our 4 families had gone through till date. P.S. No tax invoice was given to us at the resort or by the nagpur booking office until now, even after demanding the same. No receipt given for the payments made by us. Laws in Hospitality sector in our country should be stricter. We are contemplating legal action against the resort. If anybody has any idea on this, please let us know. For the 2nd day, we moved to Kusum Resort, which was excellent. I will write a review for Kusum resort sooner.

South facing, quiet, pollution free green locale next to two rural villages, overlooking Upper Lake, with a private well maintained garden. We have four bed cum bath suites, on the ground floor of a two storey house of a retired Army officer, with all modern amenities - internet hotspot, geysers, backup inverter in every room. Two rooms are AC fitted with TATASKY TV connection and a drawing cum dining room with kitchen plus complimentary breakfast. The other two rooms can be given desert coolers, when required. Preference is for paying guests who may wish to holiday in or tour Bhopal for a few days or attend family ceremonies like marriages, or visit on work. Guests who may wish to stay for longer than 10 days, even up to a year or more, on temporary duty or professional research or studies are welcome with suitably reduced tariff. Extremely convenient location for company executives or cine/TV artistes desiring privacy while working in or around Bhopal. The rental is Rs 2000 per AC suite and Rs 900 for the non_AC rooms, for 24 hours. Other meals, laundry, taxi etc will be charged separately, on specific demand. Home cooked all types of Indian, Continental, Chinese or other desired cuisine can be provided, with due notice. No problem with non-vegetarian meals provision. An advance payment would be mandatory before occupying the room(s).
Superb stay at Jheelam. The property on the banks of Bhopal lake; is beautifully maintained with the care & perfection with a professional touch of an officer of Indian army. Stayed at this property owned by Brigadier Goswami for 3 nights during this year end on a self drive family trip to Bhopal. We found the property exactly as visible in pictures at trip advisor. The meals prepared by Mrs.Goswami matched the love & care as that of my mother during my visits to the hometown and up & above served impeccably with a professional touch. Love you Mrs.Goswami. The cake prepared & served by Sharat on X-mas day was delicious in its simplicity. My children liked the way Brigadier engaged them with his humour and face reading observations. The time spent at the property and with Mr. & Mrs.Goswami is now part of our unforgettable memory lane which we’ll cherish whenever thinking of Bhopal and is longing to stay there yet again for a soulful experience yet again.
