Excellent property in a nice budget
Reviewed By sumitndaThis is a serviced apartment, at such a beautiful location that you can see the complete Coorg town and valley from your balcony. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. The cleanliness is very good and standard of fittings and fixtures is immaculate. The dining hall on top floor has beautiful view again, and the management has provided fridge, microwave etc at the same place. My only crib is that there's no cooking facility. I understand that its a small property and hence won't be economical for the hotel to cater for all meals. However, they can provide basic things such as readymade coffee, tee, some bread-omelette etc of course. Secondly, the hotel should tie up with one particular good restaurant towards catering for meals for the guests . anyways, the crib aside, I can say that this has been one of the most memorable stays that I had. This property is strongly recommended for any travellers looking at staying in a budget accommodation without making any compromise. Also, its very close to raja's seat

Reviewed By prameet hI am visiting JLR Kabini for last 10-12 years when it was 'Jungle Lodge' in true sense with 8-12 accommodations. Trust me, despite of so many premium resorts mushrooming in this area, JLR remains a cut-above-all! It retains the feel of a wildlife resort with abundance of exploration for a nature enthusiasts from river banks to green patch in its property. A sit-out in the cottage itself is relaxing with all modern amenities and courteous staff at your service. Given the highest priced JLR property, it offers the best food, drinks and services among all its properties spread across jungle trails in Karnataka. Rooms are clean and spacious, though you can't escape insects and flying bugs if you keep the doors/ windows open to enjoy fresh air (it's part of natural living). Though, Kabini jungle safari is hugely restricted and deteriorated over a period of time, property makes up for the loss. JLR has highest number of vehicles permitted in tiger reserve and employs well-informed drivers as guide. Food spread is good and tasty with good mix of local and foreign cuisines. Overall, a great place to relax and enjoy nature!

Reviewed By PADMAJA_10We stayed at Kaav for the second time last week. Since we were not able to visit the Nagarhole Forest for the last two years because of Covid. Our first stay here in Kaav had been very enjoyable and this time too it was really wonderful. Its a small property with just six rooms, so its quiet and peaceful disturbed only by the sounds of the jungle that it abuts. Its green and well maintained. The staff are excellent. Food is also very good and one must compliment the chef for such well chosen menus. Divya was very helpful. It was Sujith, the naturalist on the property who accompanies you on the visit to the forests, who really made our stay. He is knowledgeable about the jungle, has excellent spotting skills, knows animal behavior and is persevering in ensuring one has a really exciting jungle safari. He also conducts a Tiny safari within the property to acquaint guests with different varieties of spiders. This was quite unique and interesting. Would strongly recommend Kaav to those visiting Nagarhole Forest. Or even if one is not visiting the forest it is a lovely place to relax in.

FOREST VALLEY HOME STAY is situated 2.5 km away from Madikeri City. Surrounded by forest with a Valley adjoined by paddy fields where you are free to roam around and enjoy the nature. Totally different experience apart from the boring city life. You can have a healthy walk watching birds across large paddy fields and play by the natural stream. This place looks like a piece of paradise, we have small swimming pool for children.The food we serve here is loved and brings our guests back regularly. Coorg food, especially the signature pork dish, Pandhi kari is a hot favorite. The other cuisines served are the regular South Indian and Indian dishes.

Reviewed By Explorer54144168701We friends had taken the tree house villa for 4 nights and we overwhelmed with the stay ,food and service given by the caretakers Pawan and his crew and the property owner for making out stay memorable. Kudos to the team .. the property is well maintained rooms and bathrooms were upto date even in the rainy season there were no signs of dampness or fungus..

Rooms they show online are no comparison to what we got to stay. It isn't a resort at all!! It's one storey building with rooms. We felt completely cheated and spoiled our vacation mood.

It has filthy looking entrance and interior. Ground, first and second floor are secluded and dirty. Reception is at second floor. It is scary to take stairs which doesn't feel safe to go alone. Coming to rooms, interior is very dirty and old. Everything bedsheet, cushions, pillows, floor, mirror, washrooms etc were really old and dirty. We didn't feel like spending a minute in that room. Restaurant and hotel vibes are very negative. **DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL AT ANY COST** It is total wastage of money

Reviewed By SureshKumarNetiThe suite that we stayed in had a sitting area, bedroom, an additional common area with a bed and an attached bathroom. Though the rooms are a bit small (area wise) it was sufficient for us. The breakfast was included and was served in the room. The hot water was available in the mornings and evenings. It would have been great if the bathroom had a shower. The owners are very nice and are very helpful. The location is good and is not very far from the bus stand. Check with the reception and they will arrange for tours at reasonable rates. Restaurants are about 2 km from the hotel. Auto charge will be Rs. 30 to Rs. 50 from the bus stand (or restaurants) depending on the time of the day.

Reviewed By Jayapradha RThe scenic place, well maintained clean rooms/ toilet, ample space for kids to play, the aroma of coffee beans, friendly staffs and yummy home made food makes Raj Estate stay one of the best places to go to for some real peace of mind and relaxation. Staffs were very friendly and they really made my stay with two kids under 5 very pleasant and easy. The creek behind the mud house was the highlight of our stay! It's clean, shallow water and was a lovely experience playing in it. There is a feeling of warmth and belonging that you get with the stay here...which is the reason this place has now become our favourite spot to stay at Coorg.
