Ko Chang means “Elephant Island,” and indeed, if you’d like an up-close-and-personal encounter with the world’s largest land mammal, you can do that here—you can even swim with them at Ban Kwan Chang, an elephant preserve recommended by TripAdvisor travelers. In the past few years, the island has experienced a huge boom in tourism, so new hotels and restaurants abound.

I recently checked into Nature Beach and had the pleasure of dealing with Pink at the reception desk. She was excellent and helped me get my oversized ? to the room. She was also very helpful and pleasant during checkout.

Leave the main road behind you and take the walk up to Oasis. Our bungalows are spread out in a beautiful garden, bordering the jungle of the National Park and a group of macaque monkeys are among our regular visitors. The hillside restaurant has sea view. Don't want to miss out on the fun of Lonely Beach? Just a three minute walk downhill and you are in the middle of the village!
Great atmosphere and staff. Highly recommend the restaurant, both for dinner and breakfast. Located on a hill, but that doesn't matter unless you have no fitness at all. They have a nice pool with sunbeds. Walk to the sandy part of Lonely beach is 15 minutes. We stayed in a deluxe bungalow, the air conditioning was efficient and silent. The bathroom walls and roof are not "airtight", so some flies, ants etc will pay a visit, and will find their way to the main room as well. This didn't bother us, but it's good to note if you're looking for a hotel-like accommodation. Bowie the cat was great company, sorely missed! While we loved the place, with the bungalow tidyness level and the lack of complimentary breakfast we did find the price to be quite high compared to our accommodations in other parts of Koh Chang and other nearby islands.

Although the Resort is located quite far from the centre point pier (45 mins Motorbike riding) but its verytranquility atmosphere, room size is specious. We ride the bike to explore the private beach which has no one there??. Staffs are nice and helpful.

Relax and enjoy the beauty of Watercolours! Located on a perfect spot on the river, just behind the beach of Klong Prao on the island of Koh Chang. From the terrace, lobby and indoor pool there is a spectacular view at the river backed by it's evergreen jungle mountains.
Eric and his team provided us with the most amazing stay in Thailand. They have every aspect of hospitality nailed and felt very welcome from the minute we walked into the resort. They offer free use of water sports on the river as well as bicycles to take into the nearby town. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The location is second to none, our room was situated off a boardwalk running along mangrove trees on the river. The patio came with a hammock which was lovely to relax in and listen the sounds of the birds. We had dinner one of the nights and it was delicious, literally nothing to fault, I wish I could have stayed longer. A must stay in Koh Chang!

The Mam Kai Bae Resort is a low price hotel with high comfort and located on the very south of the “Kai Bae” beach, just before the road climbs up to the hill and viewpoint. Everybody on the island knows the resort “Mam-Kai-Bae” as the resort have a great reputation for special cheap prices for high-quality accommodation by all Koh Chang hotels. The fairest prices for accommodation in Ko Chang especially beside the kai bae hotels and resorts.
Stayed here for 5 nights on the last part of our 4 weeks travelling around Thailand, the hotel is a little dated and the breakfast is very basic but it’s kept extremely clean and the rooftop pool is great with amazing views, the hotel is close to everything and right on the beach.

I chose , My mistake, a bungalow next to the swimming pool. Very wrong decission. the owner did not call me back. Totally infested by musquitos, and ants. When we went to sleep, it appeard that we did not have warm water. apparantly because of the lightning, some days ago..... do you not check your rooms, when being aware of the lightning? We left the next morning in a polite way. knowing the place we wanted to go back to. the owner post , that I shouted, and threw the keys back to him. you should see his size.. no way I would dare that. The swimming pool was durty. the rest of the resort was abandond. (garder howerver wel maintained). Will never go back. espessially not because of the owner ; RUDE and no respect for the issues we encountered. a simple sorry would have made me not post this !!! Lies however will make me post this all over the internet. good luck.

We had a small bungalow 2nd line from the sea. The room was clean and functional, aircon worked well, fan was a bonus, beds and bedding comfortable enough, bathroom ok. Good water pressure and hot water. End of season so no loud music and no drunken revelers. On the water front but a bit of a walk to the sandy beach yet right on the edge of the village with it's numerous bars and restaurants. Good value for money.

Very outdated and not as pictures shown on booking sites! I understand what other have said about the service... it didn't seem to be anybody at the front desk. We had an OK check in, not so service minded I think, at least on of our rooms could check in early so we could leave the luggage and change and so on... that was great. the hotel itself is very very old and outdated, it needs to be refreshed. We had a fountain outside the rooms/hut, that needs to be cleaned! So disgusting water inside, it's a shame they don't take care of it. Breakfast was good, they have different sets you can choose from. Hotel pool so small! It looked more like a big bathtub or Jacuzzi without bubbles/stream. Rooms were actually OK, its outdated, but at least the bed looked like the pictures shown online. This hotel needs to be refurbished! Clean the fountain, new paint and so on...
