Famous for Bourbon Country and horse farms, civil war battlefields and beautiful natural parks, Kentucky offers a delightful mix of experiences. You might begin in Lexington, where the 1200-acre Kentucky Horse Park is a popular attraction. The university adds exciting sports, impressive art and a vibrant student/professor population to the city. Louisville is similar, where renowned Churchill Downs hosts the annual Kentucky Derby and the Belle of Louisville, the nation’s oldest steam-driven river paddlewheeler, hosts enchanting lunch and dinner cruises along the beautiful Ohio River. Next, head south to visit Mammoth Cave National Park for a day of touring the cave (the world’s longest known cave), hiking and canoeing on the Green River. Paducah, Berea, Bowling Green – so many places to explore and enjoy!

This hotel only has ten rooms. We tried it because it was a less expensive option. My main issue was no internet. But it did have a nice tv and was minutes from the Natural Bridge State Park. We visited during fall and except for the lack of sun, saw beautiful colors in the Red River Gorge. A nice creek runs in front of the lodge. Not a lot of options to eat, but there are some. Very friendly staff. Hard to get into office to check in because of the coffee shop in the same building. If I go back, I may rent the Grizzley cabin. But I would stay here again.

My family and I stayed here, we absolutely, Love Management, they were so kind and helpful, we stayed approx. 2 weeks, while taking care of family business in the area. and got a house ready to return too, in Burkesville. everything was clean, we had fridge, micro. toiletries etc. also, they had a sm. cereal breakfast plus coffee in the a.m. and the staff is very friendly. I have nothing bad to say, oh and the price is right too. very nice place, if you have any issues, they will fix it. Thank you for your hospitality. Mila & Family

Shabby in every way: frayed towels, paint peeling from walls, no place to plug in computer near desk, many missing lightbulbs, no place to plug in coffee maker, dirty toilet upon check in, very noisy cooling system. It’s very hard to figure out the hot water in the shower. In addition, tiles are chipped and shower grout appears dirty. Front desk staff tries to be helpful but they’re not very knowledgeable about park trails (other than than Natural Bridge trail, of course)

Booked this after spending about an hour searching cabins in the Red River Gorge Area. My husband and I love B&B's and when we found this we were so excited! Even better they had a cabin on the property so we could have a couples getaway with two of our friends getting married in a month. They had everything set up and the whole place was perfect and cozy. Joe and Linda are absolutely perfect owners and we could sit all day and listen to stories. They know so much history. Gave us great trail lists and had the hot tub ready when we got there. Had the best of time and can't wait to make this a tradition.

Inspiring, Romantic and Extraordinary nestled in the middle of Mammoth Cave National Park.
Staying in the park in one of the quaint cabins was perfect! They were adorable! We booked a tour, brought dinner with us, and walked around the campground and met the nicest people. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Know that the path to the cabins is not close to where you park your car. There is a camp store with basic food items on site along with a post office.

Nice amenities in the estate rooms. Wonderful, hardworking staff. Consideration of client needs. Very clean room. Small winery tour, excellent food in the restaurant - have to try the blue burger. Nice wine tasting. Has a nice skeet shoot course. Wife loves the scenic view from the porch of the estate rooms, really everywhere has a great view here.

Loved it here. Fishing was awesome. Cheryl at lodge made you feel very welcome. Place was exceptionally clean... we plan on a visit in the future. 2 boat ramps are very close to the lodge and a short distance to town.

Cabins are located on 5 wooded acres, with nearby acre and a half of lake property and walkable lake access excellent for picnics, kayak launching and late night catfishing. No dock or launch; however, there is a public boat launch 2 miles down the road. Gorgeous woodworkings and customization - a true retreat from the modern world! (Cabins do have WIFI and Cable TV, for those that do not want to completely get away from it all.)
My daughter has had her eye on going to Murray State since she was a freshman in high school (2015). Every year, since then, we have traveled to the area for various visits including one recently that just made our lasting impression even better. We like to stay in the area a little further away from Murray to enjoy time outdoors and visit the lake(s) but also because we just love our traditions of visiting the cabins and eating at The Fishing Hole. This next year will be our daughter's senior year in high school and this time (June 2018), we were dropping her of at the Commonwealth Honors Academy, a visit that I'm sure will solidify her decision to apply to Murray in the fall. From the time we first stayed in 2015-2016, Jim and Jenn have been outstanding. They suggest places to visit, to eat and have the best accommodations. From the "home" feel at the cabins to the sheets and towels, I cannot find anything to complain about but then again, why would you when you're staying at a little piece of heaven in the heart of KY? Traveling from St. Louis, MO to Cadiz, KY for the service, the food and the little cabin has become a family tradition we will always carry on. One more year and she can become a Racer!! We know that regardless of the distance to MSU, we'll continue to visit White Oak Ridge Cabins because it's a tradition that has meant so much to us. Thank you both for your hospitality and for creating such an amazing atmosphere for your guests! P.S. and thank you for welcoming our dog who also seems to feel like this is his second home :)
