Welcome to Darmada. Situated on the ridge of the river Unda, in Sidemen Valley. Darmada was created to preserve nature and a holy spring. Darmada is an unique Eco resort offering 7 bungalows on one and half hectare of gorgeous, natural land. We have a spring fed swimming pool and an open air dinning space with spectacular views of the river and mountains. The design of the rooms brings together, old Dutch and Balinese elements. Each room has either a king size or 2 single beds with mosquito nets. The bathroom is half open and has a hot water shower. All rooms have gorgeous handmade cement tiles.Relax and enjoy the stunning views from both the front and the back terrace. Warung Melita is our outdoor dining area. We serve local and some western food with a local touch. Here you can enjoy your breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a snack with the sound and views of the river Unda. It is also possible to order take away lunches or snacks. Come in for a cup of coffee or tea with a muffin or some Balinese offering cakes. Let us make you a picnic basket and be surprised. We buy our organcic ingredients locally. We use local grown coffee, cocoa, pineapple, vanilla, eggs, coconuts, vegetables and meat. When I'm burnt out from work I get the Darmada feeling. It's the perfect place to recharge. I always come away with a feeling of calm & all challenges ahead of me become minor. Staff make everything simple, easy. Exceptional staff, location & service.

Tropical Boutique Hotel Discovery Candidasa Cottages and Villas will make your stay enjoyable and memorable. The hotel is located on the beach of Candidasa, in a quiet and cozy resort town overviewing the sea and its offshore islands. The hotel has its own restaurant of Indonesian and multinational cuisine, bar, outdoor pool, private beach and Ayurvedic Center with Indian specialists where you can enjoy different kinds of beauty and healing treatments. There is free WI-FI in the whole hotel area.
It’s one of the best places in the area. Discovery Candidasa can assure you relaxing time in a nice and peaceful area. Everybody are friendly, welcoming and peaceful. The rooms are good, they are not in a new villas, but it’s clean and everything needed is provided. We came not in a peak season with less tourists (mainly Russians). The breakfast is being made by your preferences ( boiled eggs in the minutes you prefer them, the type of bread or pancakes with pineapple or banana). The massages are really good, I’ve tried the face massage and I really liked it. There is a kitchen in the villa and the tourists can cook and overall stay the whole time in the hotel. Furthermore, the taxi driver was really friendly and we enjoyed our trip to the next stop. Last but not least, the sunset there is magnificent and I strongly suggest everyone to enjoy it on maximum. It’s really good place and I would recommend it for a peaceful trip.

We stayed here for one night as part of a group tour of Bali, located close to the rice fields, which are beautiful to walk through. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant, which was tasty and with good service. Rooms are in bungalows that have semi-outdoor bathrooms which was unusual but nice. The water pressure in the shower could be stronger and more towels would be better (as we were only given one per person). No air-conditioning but this was not needed as the rooms were a comfortable temperature. Overall, this hotel was a nice stop.

About Us, Welcome to the ECO – friendly Hotel Uyah Amed and Spa and our Café Garam. Café Garam, which means Salt Café, is part of Hotel Uyah Amed and Spa Resort, which we have translated as Salt Lodge Amed. Garam is the Indonesian – and Uyah the Balinese word for salt. Mid 2000 we were sitting in Amed and discussed the tremendous changes in the area due to the growing tourism. More and more salt production fields were left unused or sold by their owners to be used for bungalows etc. Since we did not like the idea that the traditional salt production would disappear in the near future we worked out our plan to preserve this tradition for the people of Amed as well as for interested foreigners. In order to combine the development of tourism with the traditional lifestyle we decided to build this hotel and café around the salt production fields and use the salt production as our motto. We strive to preserve the traditional salt production by promoting it as point of interest for foreigne
Let's suffice to say: I wouldn't even look for anywhere else next time I travel to Amed. They have spacious and very clean rooms with beautiful high ceilings, well lit, well ventilated and stunning views of the sea, two great pools, nicely maintained gardens and a top-quality dive center. Location is somewhat central and there are nice cafes and restaurants, bars and clubs around (as well as their own restaurant). Staff are very helpful and they were also super flexible with our changes in booking. Thank you Hartmuth and team for the wonderful time. See you on our next trip.

Don't just visit, live it!! Sweet Homestay offer a true value stay, taking you the best of the destination you're visiting, showing you what it's really like to live in Sidemen, a unique village with a very strong spirit. The exoticism of Sidemen is not only lies in its cultural tradition but it can also be seen through the behavior of the local society.
We stayed at a hotel but went to the Sweet Warung for dinner, when we were there the owner showed us the tour options. We had a great time, went for a guided walk, then got a moped ride to a local waterfall which was amazing before coming home, having lunch and a rest then a massage and dinner. Great value, helpful and friendly and delicious food. Watch out for the Arak though!

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Bedding was filthy, no toilet seat, food wasnt great and the staff were extremely rude and not helpful in anyway. They refused to return our money that we were owed the same night and said we had to wait for it til a later date when it was needed that night. Disgraceful. Would not reccomend to anyone!
