Overall, I had a great experience with my family. This is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway in Kanchanaburi. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Moreover, the staffs were amazing and quality service. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable.Thank you sooo much. I will definitely recommend to my colleagues!

The Bridge Residence Hotel is situated right at the heart of Kanchanaburi city which is on the tourist area toward the Bridge of the river kwai the historical town of the world war2 (WW2) and also closed to the museums, the railway station, restaurants and bar very easy to find a transportation anywhere inside and outside of the land of peace and love xxxxx
We spent four nights at this property. Parking was easy, either under the building (close to entrance) or in the yard. The hotel is a 6 storey building with two elevators. The room is of a good size with adequate furnishing and lighting. Our bathroom featured a shower, the water pressure was on and off and with that we experienced sudden but quite predictable changes in temperature. The bed is of a good size and the bedding was quite comfortable. We hated the position of the AC as it will blow straight in your face and does not seem to feature a function which will make it blow less when it reaches the correct temperature. The room also had a mini fridge (with minimal contents ... thus great to store some of our drinks) and a safe (which did not appear to be particularly well fixed). Everything felt very clean. There was also a balcony but the view is nothing to write home about ... or even take a picture. We looked over a family house (with very loud chicken) and a school. The river is visible if you lean well out of the balcony. Our rate included breakfast which was on a pre-order basis for the first morning and then a buffet for the following days. The spread is OK but service not very attentive. The most significant downside is the VERY weak Wi-Fi; I had to resort to using my phone as a Hotspot in order to watch YouTube (forget about the TV if you do not speak Thai). All in all, well located and you get what you pay for.

An ultimate hideaway in the natural surroundings, 5 km. from the Bridge, The Journey House is truly a holiday escape for anyone looking for a unique and peaceful accommodation like no other. Tranquility, privacy and a touch of stylish luxury stand out here. Spacious rooms in contemporary classic style with full amenities ensure your comfort stay during your leisure holiday. A natural garden with its charming features full of plants and trees, coupled with a salt swimming pool is ideal for family time and ultimate relaxation. The whole place reflects a perfect blend of the Eastern cultural heritage and the western comfort and practicalities exclusively secluded in the pristine environment of the legendary horse riding woodland in an outskirt of Kanchanaburi downtown. Our private property is also perfect for small-group gathering or events such as pre or post-wedding parties. Notably perfect for a leisure and family holiday.
This heart-crafted hotel is a true artistic labour of love... Artistic in broad strokes of a homely courtyard design, and cozy rooms warmed by rich earth tones; artistic in the many details of paintings, weavings, and ornaments decorating every wall and nook; artistic in the drawing pads and pencils which are put in different corners of the hotel for guests to try their hand; and artistic in a broad palette of inspiring efforts to support local communities and the environment; including selling paintings by ethnic Karen youth. I also enjoyed wonderful conversations with the owners, spanning art, history, spirituality, belonging and conservation. Highly recommended for families, amateur and professional artists looking for residences and retreats; or just finding somewhere to finally get that book chapter or report written (me) !! Thank you for a lovely stay.

My son and I really enjoyed our recent stay here. Jim is the perfect host, nothing is too much trouble for her. She is so welcoming and respectful. She advised us of things to do and see and booked us tuk tuks and taxis. She also arranged for some my our washing to be picked up and cleaned. The accommodation are small bungalows. Ours had a double bed in it with an en suite shower room. There is air-con, a tv, wifi and a fridge The rooms are basic but very clean and have everything that we needed for 4 nights. I borrowed a hairdryer from Jim no problem. Breakfast is toast, eggs, jam, coffee, juice and lovely fresh fruit from Jims garden. There is a lovely swimming pool around the back which is a good size and very welcoming! It is located about 10 mins away from the main strip in a quiet location. Would stay again if we were ever back this way. Thanks Jim

I was traveling with my wife, in laws, and 1.5 year old daughter. You truly can’t beat what you get for the price. $10 USD for a bed and air conditioning is hard to beat. We didn’t need anything special and that’s exactly what this place is all about. You get your little shed with a bed. The ladies that ran the place were so sweet to our daughter and their daughter and our daughter became instant friends as we arrived. They also set up a ride back to Bangkok for us via minibus, which I highly recommend so you can relax. Definitely a diamond in the rough.

Little oasis near a busy road but fantastically clean. Warmly welcome by the owner who speaks perfect English and is happy to spend time helping you to plan your trip. Can’t recommend enough. Rooms extremely clean and nice. Triple rooms available.

There are a very nice view and a good location but the place still needs some improvement. I went there with a few friends for a holiday and the swimming pool is really nice and there is an amazing view of the river.
