Dilan and his family are extremely friendly and warm hearted. The breakfast is outstanding, the view of the sea even better. 1min to have a nice swim, and great spots in Hikkaduwa reachable by foot. Our room was the best one we had in whole Sri Lanka, direct view to the sea, very clean and all you need. Wifi good as well to watch movies. Highly recommend this place!! Would love to come back again.

This family run hotel is right in the heart of the action. The new rooms have a balcony and sea view and luxury new bathrooms. Very reasonable prices for such an amazing position by the sea. I was safe on my own and looked after by everyone around and woke up to have a lovely coffee with a view to die for. Yoga available around the corner and good choice of food in the area.

The resort consists of 4 individual wooden cabanas set in beautiful jungle, our cabanas will give the traveller a unique insight into the diversity of the wildlife in the area. Guests will be able to dine in our restaurant or on their own balcony. Our small, friendly resort also offers a plunge pool to get out of the heat of the day. The aim of the resort is to provide unique accommodation. Our accessible cabana is The Peacock Cabana, if you require this cabana please ensure that you mention this at the time of booking.
As the title suggests, the location is exactly as advertised - surrounded by nature and a good vibe. The bungalows and the area around, as well as the beautiful pool are all very well maintained and clean. The general feeling of the place is fresh and clean air, sounds of animals and wind and amazing star-covered sky at night as no light pollution is present. You are also surrounded by local rice and cinnamon fields. The staff is very helpful, accommodating and truly enjoys and takes pride in what they do with the place. I would recommend this place to families, couples and friend groups alike, it offers something special for everybody!

Pearl and Wimala, gave us such a wonderful stay at Cinnamon Trails. Their home is a wonderful hidden gem, serene and tranquil and they made it home from home, with their generosity and warm welcome they showed.. Set in a beautiful garden and pool area. We were shown around the garden and shown all the fruit and spices grown there and also had the opportunity to pick a pineapple and paw paw. We will never forget our fun cooking sessions with Wimala and our memories will last for ever. The food they provided each meal was delicious and very enjoyable. Thank you so much xx

WORST EXPERIENCE IN SRI LANKA, and in fact all our travel experiences put together. Over the top expensive for HARD BEDS NO WATER. The staff were lovely but the owner of the hotel is abusive and rude, used standover and bully tactics to over charge - double the original quoted price. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR GO ELSEWHERE TO STAY unless you like being ripped off. Much better value at other options close by. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING AND APPALLING EXPERIENCE. if there was an option for a minus rating I would give it

Stopped here on a walk along the beach in the morning to ask about the food. Had a nice chat with the owner as their seafood platter was reasonably priced. We were looking for a restaurant to entertain some friends who were joining us for dinner the following night. Just to be sure we came here to eat the night before to make sure the food was good. Disappointment, my grilled calamari was, in my opinion not fresh. It was meant to be grilled but there was no sign of any charing. My wife had a quarter fish which was fine but had been cooked with far too much garlic which had overpowered the flavour. Both dishes came with rice and a pineapple salad, I like pineapple but once again it overpowered the salad. We won’t be coming back.

I have stayed for 4 nights at Mallika in January. It is a big room above the garage, so you have no neighbours. Very very soft mat - beware if you have back problems! There is all you need- some plates, cups, many chairs. Good that there is mosquite net, mosquiotos are thirsty. You can buy drinking water directly from the host- no need to go out for it. Some 15 minutes walk to the Turtle beach. Good place for a weekend.
