We went to Machaan as a group of 14 including kids and senior citizens in the first week of June 2022. Booked 5 rooms for 3 nights. Even though the the location is a bit far off from the sakleshpur town and goes through winding roads, the travel is worth it. The location of the resort is excellent, surrounded by fields on one side and the view of the hills on the other. The check in process was very smooth and handled well by Deb at the front desk. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Being Vegetarians, we were actually skeptical about the food, but all our apprehensions were put to rest. The restaurant team were very accomodative and pampered us with made to order food to suit our senior citizens, kids. Food was excellent. Special thanks to the restuarant team. The resturant has a alacarte menu for lunch and dinner during weekdays and buffet during weekends. Sumith tooks us to a nearby trek and was very keen to talk about the flora and fauna, biodiversity of the location. Very informative. His talks keeps the trek interesting. A nice swimming pool, a billiards table, table tennis, carrom and others. The organised Plantation walk within and just outside the property in the evening was very good with Sumit talking about plants. The resort also arranged for bonfire and a wildlife documentary in the evening to the liking of the kids and adults alike. Early morning walks within the property are very pleasant with birds chirping, great mountain views

We booked 2 villas for 2 nights at this place. When we reached the place, none of the amenities that are mentioned were present. We had to call them multiple times to get even basic toiletries . After half an hour of stay, the light went off and there was no power for about 2 hours. And their way of making up for all of this is offering free foot massages, instead of solving the problems. Even after my husband screamed at them, the evening coffee took 1 hour to arrive from the time of ordering. Later in the night, we discovered that one of the bathroom windows were not present which caused insects to enter our bathroom making it impossible to use. Next day morning, again there was no light in our room. After informing them about this issue, we got a call full 1 hour later asking us to change rooms. When we told them that we were just about to leave for an outing, he kept pestering us to shift then and there. In the evening, it rained for 15-20 mins and the roof started leaking in one of the rooms. Also, the room had lot of basic things missing at the time of check-in: basic toiletries, bedside table, fan, wifi, clean swimming pool, electric kettle Will never recommend this place to everyone. They are running a cheap place in name of resort.

Whether you’re looking to disconnect for a while and soak in peace and quiet, or are a couple looking to add some headiness to your romance, or a small family looking to spend some quality time together, Hirvate Estate is just the place for you. What’s more, the local home cooked cuisine and warm hospitality by the passionate hosts will ensure a truly worthwhile stay. All to the soundtrack of chirping birds and the rustling of leaves. Come, be our guest, and friend if you please.
Hirvate is Karnataka's hidden gem and best kept secret. I completely concur with and second the feedback given below. Just returned from a two night stay with my parents who are senior citizens. Samrat and Trupti are wonderful hosts who along with their team went above and beyond to make our stay extremely comfortable and enjoyable. The accommodation is luxuriously cosy, the scenery pristine and unspoilt, the food is mind blowing....with the wonderful aroma wafting from the kitchen making you look forward to the mealtime, the coffee to die for, sounds of silence occasionally interrupted by bird calls or the laughing playfulness of the dogs and their litter, the woods dark and deep, I could go on and on.........In short, if you haven't been to Hirvate, you have truly missed something.

Budget hotel in HASSAN, SITUATED AT HEART OF THE CITY VERY CLOSE TO BUS STAND.Price starts from Rs450.
It's a good staying option close to the city centre . However ,can be managed more professionally . I opted for an air-conditioned room through Goibibo . Room was spacious and good with geyser in the washroom. However ,since it faces the busy road , the sound of vehicle is a bit too much for the comfort
