We have just returned from 6 nights at this idyllic place, and wish we could have stayed longer. Very remote lush location, we had the place to ourselves. After some initial confusion over food arrangements we realised that for a reasonable daily fee we were provided our own private chef, Oscar! Visiting local markets, villages and road side stalls for ingredients with Oscar was a treat in itself with the end result magnificent meals provided each day. Even a birthday cake for our son. The fishing is extraordinary and the staff, Solo, Oscar, Li Li and Simon (the best boat captain) were extremely welcoming and accomodating to all of our needs. Some great excursions, especially to the waterfall were excellent. Local diving and snorkelling in Natewa Bay was stunning.

We stayed there for three nights and the hospitality was good as well the services provided, the rooms were good too with really great views in the morning over looking the Labasa river with fishing boats going across too from the vilages along the river sides to town. The hotel is about three to four Fiji dollars ride from town past the police post to the hotel, it is really safe in terms of security and safety of an individual because the police main station is just a few meters away from the hotel. The hotel had charges of $90 FJD a night with breakfast included and also that town is just a few minutes walk away too. The restaurants are available near by too with very reasonable costs.

This was our third time to come back to kauwai! The peacefulness, the beautiful scenery, the privacy and nature experience never disappoint! Being away from any business, having time off in such a cozy and homely place where you are welcomed from the heart is a unique and personal experience. Even for children, there was a lot to do! Kayaking, going fishing, snorkelling and swimming along the sandbank was an unforgettable experience for the kids. I can only recommend this little hidden paradise where you can get lost in thoughts, daydreams and be one with the Pacific and its beautiful ocean and mountain sides!!

Tui is a great relaxed host, looking after place with his mother, Bulou herself. I stayed in the dormitory which was very peaceful, and really enjoyed the chance to swim in the Ba River, and pound the kava and then drink and talanoa with Tui and the other guests. I hope I get back there soon....

We had a great stay at hidden paradise for our two nights. Mahesh is a fantastic host and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was good. He even brought us a fresh fruit breakfast and coffee in the morning with fruit from his own garden. If your looking for a good stay and the best price in town go and see Mahesh !

Live, learn, and immerse yourself in real Fiji on Vorovoro Island, located 30 mins by boat from Labasa, Vanua Levu, Fiji. On this pristine 200 acre island, Bridge the Gap partners with the local Fijian community to facilitate customized educational and cultural immersion opportunities in ways that support local community development goals. We work with private groups, study abroad groups, Scuba dive groups, homeschool/worldschool groups, and more to provide authentic experiences that cannot be found anywhere else in Fiji. Vorovoro is located just minutes from Cakaulevu Reef, the 3rd longest reef in the world and largely unexplored, and offers some of the most spectacular diving experiences in all of Fiji. We provide authentic and meaningful immersion experiences in partnership with the local community in ways that allow the community to meet their development goals without compromising their way of life, their cultural heritage and identity, or native land or resources.
Vorovoro is probably the most incredible place I've ever traveled to. There's beautiful scenery along with loving people. I would suggest coming here if you want to immerse yourself in the Fijian culture. This isn't like your typical vacation at a resort. Experience is everything when coming here.

What with ram shackle facilities, dis interested staff, smelly sheets and bed bugs.... what else could go wrong ... oh, yes, the constant noise at night. The only good thing about this place is its location ... right in the middle of the night life All in all, go somewhere else

We had our best stay on Fiji at Safari lodge. We had two families staying for 4 days. We did Snorkeling, sunset fishing, kite surfing lessons, running, fresh coconut water, Bob the crab. Warren was great, laid back and a very good host. His staff were very friendly with the kids and cooked the best food we had in Fiji as well. Highly recommended.

Al’s Bed & Breakfast is an experience one should not miss. My stay there was made warm and comfortable by the awesomely-talented and extremely kind and polite host, Alisha. Alisha is a young and enthusiastic resident of Suva and is bound to find her way to your list of friends with her caring ways and the extra effort she makes to ensure that your stay, not just at her BnB, but in the city of Suva, is made fabulous and filled with local experiences. We visited the local markets and shopped for groceries together. She even baked me a cake on my birthday which came as a total surprise as I was spending my birthday away from my family and friends. My stay at her place was nothing short of incredible and if I come back to Suva, Al’s Bed & Breakfast will be my first choice. Thank you Alisha. My stay in Fiji would have been rather incomplete without my stay at Al’s Bed & Breakfast.
