From the mighty fjords in the north to the ancient Greek ruins in the south, all the way to the volcanic Azores in the west and the monumental architecture in the east, Europe's unique blend of history, landscapes, and cultures must be seen to be believed.

Had a fantastic stay at Hattvika Lodge, we booked the Myklebustbua #4 which sits on the edge of the Dock offering a nice view. Kristian and his wife Guri we're excellent in recommending things to do and ensuring we have everything we need! I must recommend the Kayak experience, was a big highlight given the perfect weather and the person which took us (sorry i dont remember his name) was fun and helpful to have around. We also highly appreciated being given the hottub all day free of charge, thank you Kristian!

Our intention is to prove that both ecomomical and ecological visions do not necessarily exclude one another, but can enjoy a happy coexistence. For our understanding ecology has less to do with asceticism and curtailment in one´s comfortable way of life, but more with a distinctive consciousness towards life and a wholesome attitude towards the things we like to enjoy and relish. Our concept of a nature hotel is based on four principles: 1. Maintaining unspoilt nature around our hotel 2. Healthy living 3. Informed approach to eating 4. Programmes designed to increase vitality, fitness and health.
I spent last weekend at Chesa Valisa and my stay there was exceptional. The place is beautiful, the staff very friendly and helpful and the owners are kind and approachable. We had a great time at the hotel, which is fabulous and caters for all dietary needs, but also very much enjoyed our e-bike trip through the beautiful Kleinwalsertal, which was made possible by the owners of the hotel, who made sure to direct us to the most beautiful places and made available the e-bikes. I wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful hotel!

The hotel is in a rural peaceful location with lovely views and handy for several mountains villages. Wonderful welcome from the owners Clay and Rachel and staff, in particular Amanda ,who is one of the smiliest people we have met. They made us feel instantly at home . Top notch dinner and hugely generous breakfast..will need to diet on return to the UK. Great room with huge bed. Will be back with a doubt.

Paolo and his family are amazing hosts: they provided us with everything we needed, they definitely exceeded our expectations! You'll find a perfectly clean room, equipped with all the amenities, in a fairytale place (a wood on a hill). In front of your room you will find an outdoor patio just for you (we opted for a take away dinner in order to enjoy the meal right there, it was so beautiful and peaceful we couldn't miss the opportunity). Also, breakfast was delicious ?

We hope to come back and visit again soon. Fowey is lovely with plenty of shops, places to eat and drink - we booked tables in advance and were very pleased we had!

Fascinating. Intriguing. Mesmeric. Pure escapism just seven miles from Ludlow, in some respects, Old Downton Lodge defies description: It is not a hotel, nor is it really a bed and breakfast or a restaurant with rooms. Each of the nine bedrooms are unforgettable – stylishly converted from historic farm buildings surrounding a flower bedecked courtyard, each is quirky, luxurious, packed with history and designed to make you smile. The hospitality is relaxed and genuine. The food – served in a dramatic dining hall - is exceptional and the wine list inspired.
In a very interesting location with access via a single track road with limited passing places, we had a tricky reverse for a delivery van on the way out, but you end up in a very peaceful environment which is not easy to describe as it is not like anywhere we have stayed before. It is well worth the effort, the staff are very helpful and the food and service good.
