We have improved accessibility for guests who are wheelchair users and for those with reduced mobility. Excellent ambiance, wonderful customer service. A place to definitely go back to! Fabulous cuisine. My family and I have been back to Ikweta three times in the last six months! That's the kind of place the Camp is!

I went for a 2-week job training with my 3 month old baby and nanny. They had a good family room with two beds and the housekeeper was amazing and always there to assist. In case you have a small child, I would advise you to carry a room heater as it is cold at night and they do not have an air conditioning system but they provide you with hot water bottles on request, They also offer a fridge and baby cot on request. The rooms and amenities were good; I had some shower issues and they sorted them immediately. The restaurant had a variety of food and drinks and the restaurant manager Catherine is amazing. Unfortunately, I had an encounter with one of the restaurant staff who was unpleasant and hardly assisted me on several days when she was duty. They had evening activities such as aerobics and game seeing. I did both and it was amazing to see wild animals during the nature walk guided by the hotel staff. In fact, on the first day on the premise I saw giraffes at the entrance. We also had a bonfire on two of the evenings. The conferences rooms were okay though there is need to offer more water and writing materials. WiFi access in most rooms was weak. Overall, the stay at the hotel was pleasant.

In just 30 min from the airport, or 36 km from Nairobi, escape the city hustle and bustle... A beautiful, unspoilt, peaceful piece of wild Africa is just down the road. Swara Acacia Lodge nestles among old acacia trees with exclusive access to 25,000 acres of wild life conservancy. Unknown to many, the ranch hosts a resident population of over 3000 game animals, over 320 species of birds and 8 dams waiting to be explored! Both Mt. Kenya, 100 miles to the north and Kilimanjaro to the south are visible from the ranch. The rustic bandas are comfortable and offering a true bush experience. The dams are stocked and visitors can try their luck at fishing, or settle with a toast to the magnificent scenery with a sundowner. Besides game viewing (including evening drives) there are plenty of things to do... take a bike ride, go on a walk, swim, do yoga, play in the garden... or put your feet up and relax with a glass of wine, good book or your online news (free internet is available on site).
I was excited to finally visit this place so when I finally made a reservation for lunch I was happy- it was short-lived though once I reached. The disappointment! The service! The Service! The Service! The staff wasn't warm, friendly or hospitable. I literally had to keep juggling my own drinks to different tables because I was with a toddler who wanted to swim and play and noone was there to assist (or I was being ignored). Finally when I got assistance it came with almost a scolding of how I have put a jug on an unstable table and it can break. I was busy requesting for my water not to be taken away and that's the response I got.( How would a guest know about the table especially if they've been ignored all through?) Anyways I read the mood soon in enough and when I wanted to leave I had to wait 30min for my bill. Finally I was told by the waiter to go get it in the reception because he doesn't have it? I had planned to spend a night or two with my son but changed my mind after the experience. Giving it 2 stars- one for the ambience because we got to spot wildebeests just chilling within their compound and two because Godfrey the head came to apologize to me when I was leaving after I explained my experience to the reception which I thought was really good of him. P.s if you are planning to swim with your lil ones note there's no designated baby pool area in what looks like a temporary pool. So you will have to enter the pool with them as it's deep for the one's who can't yet swim. It was also full of dead bugs in the water and there was no towels offered (first I've ever experienced anywhere) so carry your own towel.

It's a fairly ok hotel but dated facilities. The management can do better improve on the food service they are slow and don't keep time especially breakfast. The staff at the reception were very helpful. I was very impressed. I recommend the place since its right along Embu-Meru Road.

They failed to mention, due to the rains, they were inaccessible. We got stuck, muddy but we couldn't turn back because we had paid a mandatory down payment. Only to arrive and find the place crowded, and food overpriced. A portion for 5 people could only be eaten by 2 if not 1 person and charge Ksh 8,000. We were very disappointed, never going back and definitely not referring ?

Feel at home in Meru! Good location to explore Meru, rooms to the parking quite loud but with a beautiful view to the hills. Nice beds, good mosquito nets, friendly staff and good food. A bit more atmosphere in the dining room would be nice. Don't forget your swimwear!

There no booking feerequired and based on serene environment where travelers can get exculusive accommodatiom
A quiet, hidden and exclusive hotel that has everything you’ll need away from home. The food is yummy, tasty, and finger-licking good. The swimming pool is clean and appealing even to those who’d not care to swim.. the facility is just clean from the very first impression..(judged from the cover).. The rooms are adequately spacious and worth every penny even though seemingly expensive ($85-100) for a remote location like Kitui County. With functional hot water, clean beddings, clean bathrooms, carbon monoxide and smoke detector and a fully functional remote operated Air Conditioning Unit, you’ll think you are as close to a four-star hotel as you can get..The people are friendly and accommodating from the security guys to the reception desk folks..I enjoyed every bit of the facility.. I humbly approve.. you’ll not regret it!
