Me and my friend stayed at this hostal last september. Really it didn't feel like a hostal at all we had our own twin room with a bathroom. We found the place very welcoming with the man at the desk being very helpful. It's close to public transport so you can easily get to main attractions in Barcelona. One thing we did find a bit odd is it was really hard to find because its in like an apartment building where other people live, and you have to press on a buzzer to get in the main door and then another buzzer to get in the hostal. This wasn't an issue as the man behind behind the desk was always quick to let us in, but it is a pain if you've just got outside and you've left something in your room you have to buzz in all over again. No complaints about the noise. We had a TV with plenty of channels as well and the room was always clean.

Centric and Cozy... KiwiDESTINY and was inspired on tropical fruits. Each Apartment and Suite has it name, it colour and sensations. Modern and bright apartments and suites with Kiwi own style and seal. With everything necessary to let you enjoy your business or pleasure stay, in the best part of Barcelona, with the feeling to be as you were at home.
Firstly, the level of customer service was excellent. Really above and beyond what is expected. For this reason alone, if I return to Barcelona I would give my custom to Kiwidestiny. The apartment was spacious, with an incredibly large outside patio area. I can imagine in summer how wonderful it would be (although the views are of backs of buildings) The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever experienced. A fully functional kitchenette. Shower was, well, temperamental, but when in the sweet spot was a pleasure. Wifi was, patchy, but serviceable with good speeds. Communal areas are well maintained and pretty. The only negative of my trip was that some building work was being completed, which meant no lay ins. Kiwidestiny is about 30 minutes from "the strip" which we really enjoyed. A really beautiful area, with you could need close by.

This Hotel has so many flaws: 1) I got checked in into a different house than displayed in the internet 2) the room is not super clean - hairs from previous guests and dust. 3) I specifically asked if I can charge my bike: yes that’s possible but I had to carry it 2 floors up through the smallest staircase 4) the heater is off. So a chilly room 5) the walls are paper - you can hear every word from the neighbors 6) no view onto the sea - instead into a random street. 7) shower head is broken 8) the window doesn’t lock 9) not even a cup/Glas in the bathroom

We had an excellent 4-day stay in DV Barcelona. Very well-equipped rooms and loft. All very clean and good isolation. Great and comfortable beds. The indoor parking is a great advantage. Metro nearby (150m) very clean, practical, and safe. Due to an unfortunate incident of car crime (rear tire punctured while standing in line, but luckily, I was able to escape further consequences), we were unable to fully enjoy our stay, but a lot was made up for by the staff of the house. Charming, sweet, and very helpful staff they managed to help us, and everything went perfectly.

Honestly this hotel (hostel) is absolutely horrific. The rooms are so so so small it’s like staying in a cupboard under the stairs. The rooms are gross also. The shower was covered in mould. The staff are are rude and pretty useless. The receptionist sleeps at the hotel in a room by the desk. Every morning at 7am her phone alarm goes off - but she doesn’t get up for it!!! The alarm must of been going off for 45 minutes before I gave up and banged on her door to wake her up. The place is a genuine sh#thole. Honestly, look and stay elsewhere. You will only regret staying here like we did. Absolutely ruined our holiday break.

We were picking up a free walking tour of the Gothic Quarter here. Would have loved a bit more shade! Obviously where lots of the tours go from, and handy to lots of areas. It is really busy, but where in Barcelona isn't?

The Investigadors Residence Hall is located in the centre of Barcelona, beside Rambla del Raval, only 250 meters from Las Ramblas, Barcelona's Contemporary Art Museum and the Liceu metro station, and only 200 meters from La Boquería market. It provides single and double rooms with AC, en-suite, free WiFi connection and TV. It also has a business centre, facilities for meetings and auditorium. The cafeteria serves breakfast all week long. Weekends and holidays consist of a cold buffet breakfast and hot and cold dishes are served during the rest of the week. This is the perfect option for staying in the centre of Barcelona, close to the city's interesting tourist spots.
My stay at the residencia was booked by a university, but I checked online prices, and I'd say it's good value for a hotel right in the middle of old Barcelona, within easy walking distance of many sights. The staff were friendly and the room was comfortable. For those that care, there is no safe, no mini-fridge, and no in-room kettle. There are also no wardrobes/chests to put your things in, just an open rail with hangers. My main reservation concerned noise. The Raval is a lively neighbourhood, with its fair share of homeless people, alcoholics, and junkies. (Forgive me for being blunt.) Sometimes it seemed they were all determined to spend all night every night fighting, smashing bottles, screaming and generally having a great time on the street outside the hotel. If you can get a room that doesn't face the street, OK. But I didn't get much sleep. One other point, if you're sensitive to scents in cleaning products, you don't want to stay here. It didn't bother me, but the room had a very strong smell from the cleaning products used, and even I, who am not normally bothered by such things, felt the need to open the windows and try and get it out. The breakfast was a standard continental one -- nothing fancy but certainly enough to set you up for the day. However, service doesn't start until 07:30.

Experience the tranquility and grandeur on a splendid mountain in Catalonia, only 1 1/2 hours from Barcelona. 'Imagine waking up to the sunrise over the mountains, eat breakfast on the terrace at the height of 1400 meters, and spend the day in nature out walking or bicycling. Imagine following the ancient paths of the Cathars or other splendid nature tracks, inhaling the mountain air, and being overwhelmed by each new dazzling view. In the afternoon, you can rest your legs and feet, and enjoy relaxing moments in sun or shade. And then be spoiled for dinner with a three course menu, delightful Spanish wine and coffee. Imagine that.' Additionally to the beauty of nature, you will receive a warm welcome from Charlotte, the owner and host of this quiet mountain site. Charlotte will provide you with route descriptions for walkers, cyclists or car tourists tailored to your experience and goals.
My mother (77 years old) and I went here for 4 days after a trip to Barcelona in August. None of us have ever hicked before and didn't know what to expect. Charlotte had a few doublerooms for us to choose from, and we chose the smallest room with the most beautiful view of the mountains and the valley. Eventhough it was the smallest room, it was very roomie for both of us and our luggage, and we were pleased to have our own toilet/bathroom. All we needed. Charlotte was extremely helpfull with finding the right routs for us, so it would not be too difficult for beginners. She supplied us with a helpfull guide and a tasting lunch to eat on the way. Our biggest surprice - other than the beautiful views, atmosphere and general level of service form Charlotte - was the magnificant local 3-course dinner at night! What a treat! She is really a good cook, and everything we ate tasted like a peace of heaven. I highly reccomend this place if you are travelling around this area - even if for just one night (but I would stay longer!). Bonus info: Did you know, that you are just a few miles from seeing the 3rd largest site of Dinasour-footprints in the world from Cal Barbut? Or that you can visit the very unique garden, that Antoni Güel created as a thank you for his hosts during a project? In my oppion much more organic and magnificant than The Park Güel in Barcelona.
