A warm welcome will await you at this lovely guest house one mile from Chester city centre. One mile from M53, very close to Chester Zoo. Two minute walk to many cosmopolitan restaurants, bars and cafes.
The host a lovely lady who was a perfect host, attended to our room daily, towels checked, bedding fluffed up and coffee restocked, such a quite place. She gave tips where to go and how to get there even a treasure hunt available . We came and went as we pleased what more could you ask. Only things to be prepared for is parking, we found it easy on the street, but if you struggle there are other side streets to park. Plenty of places to eat and easy route to Chester zoo. Place to stay, ???

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP! we stayed on a Saturday, the music from frainkies bar next door was so loud it was difficult to even watch TV. It went on till 1am, then patrons of the bar were outside untill 2am, right outside the window of the lodge. We got so little sleep that we didn't do our hike on Sunday, which was the reason we travelled so far. It was so bad I almost left at 2am to go home. The shower water was tepid not hot. Would not recommend.

Stayed at Victoria Lodge last night and it was awesome. Paul is mega friendly and welcoming. The room was absolutely spotless and soooo comfortable ? the location is fantastic, right opposite slug and lettuce and next to the mulberry. Highly recommend if you want somewhere close for a night out in Stockton or just food and drinks ? Will definitely be returning ?

Positives: Staff fairly friendly and central location. Parking cheap in early multi storey (discounted by hotel). Bathroom relatively clean. Negatives: Room not great, dirty stains on walls and chair, not hoovered properly, stank of cigarettes, windows didn't open, overly hot, area to hang clothes above person sleeping in single bed. Breakfast rubbish, everything looking very sad and running out by 9:30. Food not at all appealing. Wouldn't stay there again or in any Travel Lodge.

Quite honestly a beautiful house, and beautiful, friendly, caring and respectful hosts. Jean and Allen are deeply caring and take huge pride in what they do. Best B&B I have ever stayed in. Breakfast is superb, house is quiet and Allen’s jokes are a mixture of bad to quite funny :)

A lot of problems with the cleanliness of the apartment, including; stained pillows and bedding, dirty toaster and kettle, BLOOD on doorframe (which I nearly touched), bedroom lamp thick with dust (lovely, when it's just next to your head when you're sleeping). No mattress or pillow protectors used either, so you have to sleep very close to the stains on the pillows and mattress! Basic necessities missing on arrival, poor lighting and amenities and overflowing bins outside (tell you to remove your rubbish from the apartment before leaving, but bin too full to put rubbish in). Emailed with concerns after my stay (including photos) and I was brushed off several times. Customer service is poor! If you are expecting something nice for your £100+ per night, don't book this one.
