We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely farm located at Foz do Sabor right on the banks of the Douro River. The house is surrounded by grape vines, olive and orange trees and there are lovely views of the Douro River and Valley. Our hostess Gilda was really friendly and generous - she recommended an excellent restaurant in the nearby town of Torre de Moncorvo, and served us a wonderful breakfast which included several homemade products - jams and salami.

O Solar de Chacim was built in the late 19th century and lies in the village of Chacim, near Macedo de Cavaleiros, district of Bragança, in the north of Portugal. With a large magnificent space, it is a corner of natural paradise and invites you to a pleasant stay far from the agitation of the daily routine. The ambient his family and historical.
Invited by friends to join them for a Birthday celebration party. What a place. Large rooms, beautiful decor, and enough of all the tableware needed for a party! The outside was just as impressive, unspoilt views with sprawling lawns, lake, hot tub and plenty of chairs and loungers to go round. The weather was good, but had it rained there were games to play or just sit and chat . Very classy place. Would recommend this venue for any special occasion. We were greeted by a manner of the family who was charming.

Local agradável, com excepcionais vistas panorâmicas. Alojamento razoável, com todas as comodidades. Junto à praia e embarcadouro. Ao lado, em construção um restaurante e piscina pública. Necessário retirar torre elétrica.

Excellent for all reasons: beautiful restored old house, super comfortable rooms and common spaces, very good breakfast with home made jam and olive oil! Perfect place to rest, explore the nature and historical villages near by.

The owners are very friendly and nice. The room was clean and nice. Not very big, but for sleeping and resting, and what not, it was perfectly fine. Clean and renovated house. With a full kitchen and breakfast in the morning. The old lady was extremely nice. There's a restaurant at the start of the town, also deserves a visit.

You can find Casa da Fraga in Ferreira, a rural village situated in the heart of the north-eastern Portuguese region of Tras-os-Montes. Ten minutes drive from the Azibo reservoir, where you can sunbathe, swim, go kayaking and cycle or run, and only thirty minutes from the historic city of Braganca, with its twelfth century castle and unique Roman 'Domus Municipalis'.
Don’t miss out on this hidden gem. The breakfast is so good with home made pastries, breads and jams. Even the healthy and delicious granola is home Made. Better than any you can buy in a shop. Lovely bedroom and terrace and pool. We loved it the first time and perhaps even more 18 months later.

This was a difficult place to find even with our sat nav. It's located some way out of town so a taxi required if you want to visit a restaurant. The place is on a farm and the rooms are new. Quite comfortable with a good bathroom. Breakfast is taken in an adjoining building and was simple but adequate. There is no problem parking right outside your room. An OK experience. PS. It's an ostrich!
