Kibo Safari Camp is a luxury tented camp picturesquely set within the Amboseli National Park Reserve in Kenya overlooking majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. It is less than 2km from the KWS Amboseli National Park Kimana Gate. The Camp is beautifully landscaped, incorporating an open terraced restaurant and bar under acacia trees, with a swimming pool.
I stayed here with 5 of my friends. When you arrive at reception you are blown away by how beautiful it is. The tented rooms were luxurious. The staff were so friendly. It is a 5 minute drive to the wonderful Amboseli park. Here we saw lots of elephants, hippo and lots more. Having Kilimanjaro in the background makes this camp a must. The food was buffet style. There was lots of variety and Milton made the best pizza!! A wonderful stay.

The lodge is an eco-friendly operation, which takes maximum care of the environment and its people. It consists of 13 cottages ideally located on bush land facing Kilimanjaro. Each cottage has its own wooden-deck veranda and a fabulous view ofthe highest mountain in Africa, even from the comfort of your bed or your bathtub. Double or twin cottages, all have en suite bathrooms fitted with both a bath and shower. Each cottage has its own fireplace. Lighting and watersystems are solar powered. A charging facility for cell phones and camera batteries is available. The style of the lodge is a harmonious combination of modern (for your comfort) and traditional (to remind you that you are in Africa).
The staff and management helped create an experience that is memorable, soul building, relaxing. The animals who visited the watering hole on the property just added to the magic... Elephants, giraffe, Eland, zebra but a few of the guests. Thank you for a wonderful time

I really enjoyed this hotel. The food was good, and the staff was great for the most part. Our guide arranged for us to walk with a Maasai conservationist on staff, and that was really cool. The morning view of the mountain was stunning. We liked that we could buy and mail post cards right there, though we are going on two months since sending them and they have yet to arrive. ? The reason I am giving them a lot rating is because there was a safari guide there harassing me for attention, and when I refused to join him for a drink he got an employee of the lodge to deliver a message to my room. They went to the wrong room though, and my friend refused to answer the door. We went to reception to find it what was going on, and thankfully OUR guide happened to be there and was able to communicate with the last and the room steward who had tried to deliver the message. They made up a story about some other guide needing to get a message to their client and it was just a mistake. But the next morning there was a note for me on my breakfast table from the guy, and he made sure to stop by to tell me to call him later before he moved on with his clients. I let our guide know what happened, and he told us that the room steward was reluctant to talk before he finally made up the story, so he must have had some kind of deal with that other guy. I found it really off-putting that the employees would take part in the harassment of their guests by guides who are supposed to be professionals and then make up a lie to cover it up. The only reason I knew they were trying to cover it up is because our guide happened to be right there when we went to find out what was going on.

Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge was created for adventurers with an African dream. With Mount Kilimanjaro soaring majestically just beyond the golden, acacia-specked savannah, the safari lodge offers a graceful blend of stark beauty and lavish comfort in the heart of Kenya’s Amboseli National Park. Nestled in an acacia grove by a gentle mountain spring, our hotel, comprising a Maasai-inspired design, a garden restaurant and a palm-shaded swimming pool and sundeck, provides uninterrupted views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the surrounding landscape. In every detail, the ambience captures the essence of Maasai culture, warmth and indomitable spirit. The setting our Amboseli safari lodge is breathtakingly beautiful, the wildlife abundant and the cuisine, hospitality and amenities unrivalled. Mornings bring stirring views of Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peaks. Whether embarking on a safari to see “The Big Five” (elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and rhino), planting your very own tree as part of our Re-Forestation Programme, or enjoying a bush dinner and glass of wine as the bonfire cinders waft into the indigo night, your stay will be infused with unforgettable moments. Answer the call of the wild at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge – a destination rich in undiscovered experiences.
When we got there the service from the staff was prompt and good. The ambiance was great and we got to see an elephant grazing right next to the fence. However the rooms were too small and quite packed next to each other, it was hard to get the feeling of privacy. It had a congested feel. The food was great but something in it gave me a bad case of breakouts on my face, so much that we checked out after one night. However, if you could get over those, it would be an amazing place to stay as it is right inside the Amboseli national park.

The essence of Africa Ol Tukai Lodge is one of the best spots in the world to watch elephant with the backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. Writers have described Ol Tukai and the surrounding Amboseli National Park as a 'home for the Gods.’ Ol Tukai is an eco-rated lodge having excellent outdoor and indoor facilities with its unique collection of African art. The property receives overwhelming response from the international and local tourism market.
One of the best located lodges, 5 minutes from the swamps and an easy drive to observation hill..... Breakfast with a view right onto the marsh with the elephants, zebra, wildebeest grazing while you sit at your table. Great swimming pool with good service. Rooms with a mountain view of Mt. Kilimanjaro and woken up by the animals and roar of the lions. Friendly staff and always helpful, even when you get sick there is plenty of help available. Will certainly go there again.
