Stayed for one night and everything was great. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were buffet style and everything we tried was pretty good. Our room was a decent size and we had a spectacular view. I tried the onsen and it was nice enough. Felt good to soak in it after being out in the snow! There are plenty of things to do nearby. It snowed a lot when we were there so we didn't get to explore as much, but we definitely plan on going back.

I always have great comments for Toyoko Inn and this branch in Okayama is one of the best. The service is top grade and everyone always welcomes me with a smile. I always use Okayama as a base to travel out and I will continue to choose this hotel for my next trip

Okayama Hiruzen Villas Peter Pan is rental guest houses in Hiruzen Kogen. We have 10 unique guest houses which are original method log houses of 100 years old trees and Japanese style. Also there is a cute rose pink cottage in Hiruzen kogen surrounded by rich and beautiful nature. We would like all the guests to stay comfortable, so act or behavior that is against public morals in the hallways or guest rooms are strictly prohibited. Thank you. Please stay as your own villa… We hope we can see you staying with lots of smiles in Okayama Hiruzen Villas Peter Pan.
We stayed in a cottage called Akane. The house is pretty and located in quiet green area but still close to main Hiruzen attactions. It was clean and comfortable. There is a place for BBQ that we enjoyed in the evening - we bought BBQ set at the reception. Kitchen is well-equipped with all tools we needed. Toiletries are also provided so we took just small baggage. It was convenient. We spend much time relaxing in the house as it has TV with DVD player and even massage chair. But my favourite was the rock outdoor bath. It feels like in real onsen but private, only for you, and super cozy. The staff is nice and helpful.

Shiraishi Island is a picturesque place and the Shiraishi International Villa looks over some of the prettiest parts of it. We spent three nights in off peak season, enjoying village life, walks, the beach and the opportunity to take a break from our usual full on travel pace. The Villa’s contemporary architecture sits well in its surroundings and provides views from every room. There is a convenience store that is quite sufficient and would have saved us lugging food from Kasaoka. Moya, the Villa’s on-site manager, can arrange delicious and very reasonably priced lunch and/or dinner at an inn, just down from the Villa on the beach. Special thanks to Moya, who could not do more to keep the Villa clean and neat, and to look after his guests. Warm, helpful and hard working, he’s the perfect host.

Perfect for the modest but conscious getaway weekend to an authentic Japanese spa-town. Calm and stylish in its own way. Loved the ecological food and the closeness to the Grand Hotel onsen nearby (included in the price).

We spent 3 nights in this hotel and we love it. Although the staff are not good in English, but they were willing to help. The room is clean and we had a separate typed toilet in our room. It was very nice. The breakfast is simple (bread, egg, salad, sausage, etc), but it was tasty. There is a massage chair in the lobby, we love to take a rest there after whole day sightseeing. We like the way they arrange the carpark, they have put our name to indicate the carpark for us. In conclude, we love this hotel and willing to stay there again.

Our stay with Hiromi, Olivier and their boys had been highly recommended by other family members who had stayed here. We were not disappointed. My wife and I were traveling with our two adult children and sixteen year old daughter. From the time Hiromi met us at the train station and greeted each of us by name we felt like part of her family for the time we were here. If possible I recommend staying on a Friday night or Saturday as you will get to experience Olivier’s French bread making skills. They have a small bakery on site only open one day a week. Olivier made quiche, pizzas, brioche bread among others. Absolutely fantastic! Hiromi is the consummate host. She took us on a hike through a forest that was beautiful. We went to a small area known for the fireflies at night in June and saw the most spectacular display of glowing fireflies over water and in a forest. Magical. She also took us to an incredible 46 year old authentic Japanese restaurant located way off the beaten path in a wooded area with a waterfall. We ate in a small Cabin with the gracious owner coming to speak and spend time with us. The setting was spectacular and presentation and food excellent. When you stay with Hiromi and Olivier you are truly staying in their home and become part of the family for your stay. If you are looking for a respite from touring Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto I would highly recommend a train ride down to Nokishita Toshokan.

The hotel is pretty close to the train station and in the right direction that you can walk from the hotel down to the castle and Kourakuen garden. Given where it is, there are plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby too. The rooms are nothing too special, except that they are quite spacious. It's rather unfortunate that some of the extra space couldn't be donated to the bathroom, which was rather small. I did find that the light in the room was a little lower than I would have expected or liked though. Service and the like was decent. Despite the location, it was reasonably quiet.
