Go from the 13th century to the 21st in one day in Naha. Its ancient Ryukyu Kingdom centerpiece, Shuri Castle, has been restored and is the city's top tourist attraction. Meanwhile, on Kokusai-dori (International Boulevard), the pace never lets up as locals and tourists hop from restaurants to bars to nightclubs.

It is 3 minutes on foot from Yui Rail prefectural prefectural station. It is a guest house with shared dormitory rooms and private rooms. You can also go to convenience stores, international street, beach within walking distance. It is 5 minutes by car to the ferry terminal (remote terminal) to the remote island.
Stayed 1 nite before continue our journey to the northern part. Difficult to find the location for the first time. We booked a bunk bed room without the toilet for 5 ppl. Luckily the public washroom is clean. Overall we had a good stay. Thank you so much. Stayed on June 2019.

Friendly guesthouse in Naha city, Okinawa. Just block away from the Bus terminal and Asahibashi station. Fully renovated with a sense of Japanese design and harmony. A good place for backpackers to feel like home in Okinawa. Please enjoy with us:)
The price is cheap, so don’t expect too much about the service or other things. *You have you make the bed by yourself, if you are sleeping on the top bed, you’ll know it’s really a difficult thing. *The Chinese woman staff is very unfriendly. If you accidentally overslept and pass the checkout time, she’ll come to your bed and yelling at you. *The stairs are steep. Each floor has a door require password to open, even the public area. They’re not using a sensor, so it means you have to memorize the passwords.

You are welcomed by a monotone and annoying tune being played on the speakers and two grumpy old men. "Dorms" hold 88 (!) beds. Lockers for a surcharge! Also no luggage storage as usual. Comes at a massive surcharge. Worst experience in Japan!

I recommend to stay in this Apartment when you live within the City Centre of Okinawa. It is within walking distance to nearby eatery like Mos Burger and a Ramen Restuarant just opposite to the Apartment. The First Makishi Public Market is also within walking distance and once you reach there it is not difficult to reach Naha Kokusai Dori Shopping Street. The Kitchenette is really useful but in our second time stay, the utensils had to be rented while our previous first stay was free. Perhaps, they should consider collected a refundable deposit for the use of the utensils.

This is a small and cosy place a short walk from the main shopping street in Naha. Room was very clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was big, with lots of space for all your stuff. Shower pressure was very good. Baldo and his assistants - Maria, Fernando - were very friendly and helpful, and their friend Pietro is sometimes available as a tour guide/driver. He is a fount of information and has a good sense of humour too. Breakfast is filling and delicious - plus it changes each morning, so never gets boring. And the coffee is wonderful. Thanks for making my stay safe and wonderful.

清潔で市場商店街にあります。壁は薄いので隣室の音が聞こえます。たびたび、利用していますが、長期滞在者にマナーの悪い人がいます。お互いマナーを守りたいものです。

It can be a bit hard to find cheap places to stay in Naha. But this place is a good choice if you're fine with a basic accommodation. The Guest House Base is close to a beach including a nice small shrine that is towering on a rock above the beach. To get there from the airport you can just use the Monorail to Kencho-mae station and walk for about ten minutes. Theres plenty of restaurants and a big Max Valu supermarket close. Our room (one bunkbed and a foldable matress) was a bit old and worn out, however we had our own bathroom which was convenient. The staff's all friendly and can give you good tips on what to do or where to go.

This is a "prison-themed" Condominium & Restaurant on the Kokusai-street. It's renovated at 2017 Dec from guesthouse to really fun and enjoyable place! We changed house rules from 2019, all Condominium room and restaurant are welcome all gender now! You can experience "prison- life" in our Condo & restaurant.
The hotel is at the great location of shopping area, easy access and convenient. The experience is fun cause you can dress up the jail pajamas to walk around, the design of jail is so alike????. Staff are friendly and speak English perfectly.

We intended to stay here for one night before heading off to the Kerama Islands on holiday. The hostel is located very close to Tomarin Port, and about 15 minutes' walk from International Street. The owner was very friendly and showed us the lounge and kitchen area free for all guests to use, then charged us 4000 Yen for the night. Unfortunately, this was to be our most pleasant time in Minami Kaze. Upon heading up the stairs to our 4th floor double room we immediately noticed that the greek-style alcoved walls were grey, rather than white, with dirt lining every ledge. The carpet in the 4th floor hall was very stained, and the door had a flimsy padlock on it. The room itself looked pleasant, with lots of teak furniture. The bed sheets looked old and tired, but we decided it would be fine for 1 night. We started to have doubts when we made the mistake of using the 5th floor shower and toilet. The floor had rotten wooden decking that crumbled as we walked on it, and although the shower had been recently refurbished the toilet next door was filthy. However we went and took a look at the 3rd floor toilets, and as they were better decided to put the dirt out of our minds. We then went out for the evening in Naha, and that's where things went wrong! We got back to our room at about 10pm, opened the door, turned on the lights, and there was a cockroach sitting on our bedside table. It promptly ran off, along with 2 of its buddies. Being well aware that if you see 1 cockroach, you can guarantee there are lots more you can't see, we decided that spending the night wasn't such a good idea. We then had to pack up all our stuff, haul our bags to the nearest hotel, and unpack and repack all our luggage to check for bugs as we'd left our cases open. In fairness to the owner, he handed our money right back and apologised. Maybe he's used to people running away! It's just a shame he advertises his hostel as clean.
