Quite small room for two with luggage for a 4 week trip. Open wardrobe where not even one suitcase of cloths fits. First day experience when we returned in the e vending, the room was not made. Housekeeping forgot it ?!? Today when housekeeping came, we had to leave the room. With no safe, all out valuables... this was quite odd. I never had to leave my room, but there is always a first time :-)

The First Inn Zwickau at the heart of the historic city centre is the perfect place to start discovering Zwickau and its surroundings. The majority of sights are within easy walking distance from the hotel. The hotel offers 128 comfortably furnished rooms with full air-conditioning and Wireless - LAN, which can also be accessed in our 5 conference rooms, the hotel bar and the restaurants as well as in the lobby. Today, visitors continue to be thrilled by the carefully preserved original buildings that range from over six centuries. Even at the beginning of the 20 th century the manufacturer of automobiles, August Horch, brought brands like Horch and Audi to world-wide fame. Germany s most exciting new automobile museum is located just 2 kilometres away from the First Inn Zwickau. Zwickau, fourth-largest city in the Free State of Saxony has gained international recognition as the birth place of composer Robert Schumann.
This hotel is very centrally located for the city of Zwickau. Rooms are modern, bright, well-furnished and a good size. Our room overlooked the partly pedestrianised Kornmarkt which meant it was relatively quiet. The breakfast buffet provides a reasonable warm choice and also a good cold, fruit and pastry selection. Parking in the hotel’s section of a municipal car park was convenient. Service throughout was pleasant and helpful. We happily recommend this hotel.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights (interrupted by one night). The first night we stayed was o.k. We had the family room, which is basically two rooms connected by a door. One of the rooms has a small kitchen, the other one the bathroom. The bed in our bedroom was ok, the bed in the other bedroom was a collapsable couch with a lot of squeaking and creaking if the person lying in the bed just turned around. In our room the window could not be opened (which played a major role the second night). We were disappointed about the sauna. We had selected this hotel especially for the sauna since we like to use this after a day of sightseeing. Imagine our surprise when we found out that we have to pay extra for the sauna. Could not find this in any of the hotel descriptions. When we arrived on the second stay we got the same room, but we were really shocked when we entered our room. It stank of cigarette smoke. Whether someone chainsmoked in the room or whether the AC did something wrong we don´t know, but it really stank to high heaven. Unfortunately no other room was available for us. Breakfast is ok, dont miss out the Trabant in pristine condition standing in the lobby. Location is good for a trip to Zwickau

Very convenient place for the travelers by cars. It's not so far from A4, but silent and comfortable. Big room, good breakfast, not expensive. Friendly staff. I can to recommend this hotel for short staying.

Our Princess for one day tours take us to Zwickau now and then - and we have stayed here multiple times. We have sure been in hotels that have more wow-factor than this one, but it was very clean, very conveniently located and everyone was very friendly. I would not pick this as a prime holiday location nor would I do a 30+ min detour just to stay here (mandatory in my rating scheme to achieve 5 stars), but other than that I would, if in need in the area, always book this again (actually, we just did ;-)

About 10 mins walk from the centre of town. Spacious and comfortable room. Good WiFi. The breakfast was outstanding, with home made preserves, nice coffee, eggs on demand... Very good indeed. Dog friendly. Nice staff.

That place is charming, nicely situated and modern, rooms are clean and good looking but the breakfast was more than I can imagine! You can pretty much have all you can think of, maybe besides pancakes. One thing that is missing is a bigger parking place, for a hotel in the center you really need one!
