Not worthy your money - or their stars. Stay somewhere else
Reviewed By Svein-OleWe booked one nigth on this 4 star hotel on our return trip from summer holliday. It turned out to be a mistake. There is almost no dedicated parking close to the hotel. There is a public parking 100-150 meters from the hotel but be aware of that there is a lot of reserved places on that lot. On the positiv side the room we got was spacious and the food at the restaurant in the basement (not part of the hotel as I understod) was tasty. On the not so positiv side we was handed only on key to our room. The room and bathroom need a renovation. Dark colors and outdated ligthing. It's old and worn. It looked as there was black mold in the bathroom and the side molding was cracked down at the floor, a sign of water or damp over time. In between the tiles there was solidified dirt, poor cleaning over time - this being a 4 star hotel. Early next morning we discoverd that there was no hot water! I went to the frontdesk but there was no reseptionist(!) there came a person wich worked in the breakfast room. I asked about the missing hot water but she did'nt understand English(!). I went back to our room to gather our stuff and pack the car. When I came back from the car the reseptionist was present. I asked her about the missing hot water and she said she was sorry but it has been missing since yesterday! We where not given any info on this all evening. I asked when it would be back and she shrugged her sholders and said that the technician was called but he wouldn't be there until later that day. This at a 4 star hotel!!! I asked if they didn't have a 24/7 agreement (something I expect on a 4 star hotel). She just shrugged her sholders and replyed "No". On this point I got annoyed with her reaction. There was little to no sympathy with me as a customer. So I asked for a reembursment or a discount on the room. She could not give me any only her manager wich not yet was present (7:25am) I asked her to call her manager and get it sorted out since we was eager to have breakfast and get going. Breakfast was done in 15 min and it was a porly breakfast very little to choose from. Not worty 4 stars. When I returned she had spoken with her manager and she could only give us free breakfast!!! I was a bit mesmorised a discount on €20 for no hot water and an attitude that best put is "I don't care about the customer" and also hostile when I asked for a reembursment? And I had to ask - they didn't offer it. I told her that I expect 50% off and that she should call up the manager again. She ignored my request so I asked her fermly again to call. She replyed that they would only give €20 but she rang and again they would not lower it. Is this hotel worthy 4 stars? Should they be more interested in the customer? I have had better rooms, breakfasts and service on 3 star hotels. My money will not stop in this city.

Reviewed By paulm999I have stayed here several times and still come back. I try not to get upset at the various rules about seating etc and lack of fridge and kettle is always annoying these days but at least the WiFi works. Nice location, sturdy food and nice staff.

Outstanding Place To Stay
Reviewed By JoeM662we stayed here for one night on our bicycle trip along the Moselle bike path, we were warmly greeted with an easy check in and a glass of wine. The room we stayed in had a nice balcony with a view of the river. Everything was up to date , a nice, clean room with a large bath with a tub and separate shower. The breakfast was the best on our trip, the smoke their own meats and slice the hams in front of you at breakfast I highly recommend this hotel when saying in the ares

Reviewed By crysmarie83The room, staff, and complimentary breakfast were very good/enjoyable. However, there was NO hot water. Coldest shower of my life. Haha. I really enjoyed the stay overall and would go back. Parking is a little far.

Couldn't fault it in any way, from the welcome we got from the staff on arrival, the excellent 4th floor room at the front with a large balcony looking out on the Mosel,the great and very reasonable evening meal served on the dining room balcony, to the breakfast next morning. Wouldn't have any hesitation in staying here again.

Komfortable Unterkunft am Ortsrand mit Weingenußerlebnis

Das Gästehaus liegt am Ortsrand von Zeltingen-Rachtig in einem sehr ruhigen Wohngebiet, unmittelbar unter dem Hochmoselübergang, war aber nicht weiter stört. Es ist ein neu errichteter Anbau direkt neben dem Weingut Pazen. Die Zimmer sind modern und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Das Badezimmer war frisch renoviert und einer sehr modernen Dusche ausgestattet. Alles sehr sauber und in Ordnung! Kostenfreie Parkplätze stehen in ausreichender Zahl zur Verfügung. Das Highlight: Eine Vinothek im Flur, aus der man sich Kaltgetränke, vor allem aber den Wein des Weingutes, zu äußerst moderaten Preisen herausnehmen und auf dem Zimmer genießen darf! Eine wirklich tolle Idee. Wir wurden äußerst freundlich empfangen. Das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen. Wir haben die Übernachtungsgelegenheit genutzt, weil wir an einem Balkonkonzert im nahe gelegenen Kloster-Machern teilgenommen haben. Wir können uns aber gut vorstellen, dass das Gästehaus eine ideale Unterkunft für Radwanderer oder Kurzurlauber, die die schöne Mosellandschaft genießen wollen, sein könnte.

Reviewed By PPHP7A great variety and well prepared and presented. Good outdoor or indoor dining in the Rachtig centre. Reasonable prices and more quantity than required. Close to the Moselle river and quiet dining. Close to Moselle cycle path on the way out of Zeltingten.

Gezellig pension
Reviewed By Peter LWIj hebben hier met 2 stellen een lang weekend gehouden, dit is een familie pension waar de persoonlijke aandacht voorop staat. Kamer zijn schoon en netjes en het ontbijt is zeer goed met iedere dag andere eigengemaakte jam. Als iets op was hoefde je het maar te vragen en het stond er. Wij komen hier zeker terug.
