Brilliant short break with the family. Accommodation was fully equipped and comfortable (although would be even better with a mattress protector and newer pillows). Aqua Mondo was fantastic with a good selection of slides, a chilled lazy river and a crazy rapid ride, thoroughly enjoyed by our teenage kids and us middle aged parents. Ate in Nonna's which was very tasty and reasonably priced. Shop was well stocked with everything you'd need, only niggle being queues at busy times and only one open till. Fun factory bar and arcade was cool, coffee down at the marina and in the Grand Cafe in the centre of the village good. Every single member of staff we spoke to was friendly, polite and helpful . Would recommend!

We needed a place to stay for the night, because we were judging the first international BBQ contest in Zeewolde. De Suydersee BBQ competition. But the welcome and the location was so much more then expected we are thinking we have to go back just to enjoy everything that is possible there. Thank you for your hospitality and a great stay!

RCN Zeewolde is a friendly park within walking distance of the nice new town of Zeewolde. The staff are great and the restaurant offers splendid views over the water. Warmly recommended for families at any time of the year.

Our 2nd time here and loved every moment, even though the weather was not so good. Very friendly and helpful, the fish van gave us some samples, and the snack bar is excellent. No problems with the language, just ask as most Dutch speak English extremely well. Beautiful indoor pool and sauna for a relaxing evening, great walks, bike hire and a great location for exploring makes it a great holiday.

We’ve heard that canping with a tent in the Netherlands is not great (put it mildly, by Dutch friends), and I was very hesitant to reserve this but went for it in the end with all the good reviews and to see for myself. It got 9.3/10 on one of the major camping review sites, and in the end we thought it would beat a nite in the car which was our other option. I wish we had done the car. When we checked in, we learnt the site for tents is the outern most point of the land on the sea, with no protection from the wind what so even - and it was such a windy day even the staff checking us in said to come back if we can’t pitch the tent from the wind. At arrival to the ”pitch”, it’s not a dedicated pitch but a waste lot of land for tents to fight over. There were three tents (incl us) and we had just about enough room to have some space. One of the tents had a big dog off-lead and had taken a large area with a fence for themselves. We have a small dog on a short lead but struggled to have him close enough so as not to get on to the third tent. Another big dog from a nearby hut was running loose, and seemed to have escaped onto a scared child... So I felt the need to keep our small toddler on me while pitching the tent (in that wind, and next to the sea edge). Off we then went to get some food. The reception recommended us to use the ”restaurant” nearby the tent area. By the time we got there and realised it was not a restaurant but a deep frier of fake chicken nuggets it was too late to go to the shops. So we had chips for dinner (the toddler spitting out the ”chicken”, can’t blame her). We asked the restaurant staff for direction for the toilets, and were sent to some portacabins with no hand washing. Luckily we later got talking to another visitor as we were looking for some drinking water, who very kindly showed us the actual toilets and showers... Finally off to the tent for some sleep. I’d by this point decided I would leave the dog to sleep in the car as it was not a hot night and he was going to be more settled there than in the wind shaking tent so close to all these other strange dogs he did not know. When we got settled in the tent the neighbouring people were BBQ with all the smoke coming in out tent. I’m still awake airing the smells out, having finally gotten the toddler asleep. This place should not advertise itself as having pitches for tents.
