Stayed one night only visiting my daughter, I have used this hotel before. Booked a queen size double it was very clean and comfortable with aircon, you can’t open the windows due to the main road, couldn’t hear a thing. The young girl on reception was very helpful and professional running the bar and reception. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, with Best Western reward we got a free breakfast excellent value for money!

Welcome to The Grand, York's first and only AA five-star rated hotel. This stunning hotel opened in May 2010 following the extensive refurbishment of the former North Eastern Railway headquarters – one of York’s most iconic Edwardian buildings. Originally constructed in 1906 as a ‘Palace of Business’ for what was then one of the most powerful public companies in the country, today it is the region’s leading luxury hotel and has established a global reputation for its first-class service, stylish bedrooms and unique historic atmosphere. Following a £15 million refurbishment in 2017, The Grand now boasts 207 individually designed bedrooms, a beautiful spa to relax, a destination restaurant, a cocktail bar and meeting & event spaces. There is something for everybody to enjoy - we look forward to welcoming you soon!
The Grand was absolutely stunning, every member of staff was superb. The ids package was excellent, and our child had a wonderful time and was really spoiled. Would highly recommend, and we will be visiting again

From start to end our stay was remarkable. The hotel is in a great location and is close to great restaurants and bars. The rooms are exceptional and offer a unbelievable nights sleep. But the main reason the hotel is unrivalled in Leeds and why I keep returning is because of the staff. I cannot thank them enough for their dedication in ensuring our stay was flawless. A huge thank you to Alistair Young and David Firth and their team.

Excellent location and on arrival we’re greeted by the reception staff. Our room was o; the first floor and loveless inside. Plenty of room and storage space. The shower was really powerful and a good temperature. We didn’t sample any food their but did make it to the roof top bar, although it was raining so we sat inside. The service was also excellent. I would definitely recommence the hotel The car park was full when we tried to book it but managed to go on a parking app and park approx 10 mins walk away

Came here for an overnight break away last night with a friend and we booked a 1 bedroom apartment. The female receptionist was friendly, helpful and informed us of 24 hour reception, food etc, the check in was super quick and efficient. Informed us of our room (402) and gave us our key cards. The room was immaculate, fully working kitchen area with a 2 ring hob, dishwasher, clean cutlery, dishes and cups and dishwasher. Bathroom was clean, towels nice and big. Bedroom was a decent size, included an ironing board, large wardrobe, bed and pillows were super comfy (better than a Premier Inn) and the 2 sofas pulled out into single sofa bed that my friend said was comfortable to sleep on with a snuggly quilt. Slept like a baby, never heard any noise from rooms above or around us. Will visit again for sure. Bus stop is right outside hotel to take us direct to York Train Station as we didn't fancy walking back again to station as it was a bit rainy earlier on. Thank you StayCity.

You'll have Bridlington's North Beach right on your doorstep, ideal whether you're building sandcastles, visiting the Flamborough Head Lighthouse, or watching for rare sea birds at the RSPB Bempton Cliffs. Back at the hotel, you can enjoy a delicious dinner at our Cookhouse & Pub restaurant, before soaking up the partial sea views from your room and relaxing on a super-comfy Hypnos bed.
Our car broke down so it was just a bed for the night. The hotel has a great position and the staff were very friendly. The buffet breakfast was fine but the fried eggs were over cooked. A word with the chef and fresh ones appeared immediately. If I return to Bridlington I would definitely stay here.

We had this hotel booked for several weeks for the Jubilee Bank Holiday, upon arrival we struggled to find a disabled parking space as these were all taken by cars without badges, all 3 of them! We checked in to a busy reception quite quickly and headed to our room. This is where the issues began. The room type was not what we had booked but the room type down, this wasn’t advised by Reception. The room itself was dark and dusty and overall not very clean. The smell was something else, a sewerage smell which that had tried to cover with an overly floral smell, it was overbearing. I returned to reception and advised this issue and was told they had no further rooms, in fact they were overbooked, upon pushing further I was shown yet another downgraded room (two rooms down from what I had booked) and this was worse, dark, dingy with the floral smell overpowering again. At no point we’re we ever offered a discount on our rate due to the hotel not being able to provide the room we had booked. When then advised we could not stay due to the smell and that is when a Manager called our room and said there was nothing he could do. We then said we would be checking out and he advised that there would be a charge but he would wave this due to our IHG status. This hotel was shabby at best, only one lift working, the reception advised it had been like that for a while! Disabled access was non-existent, several steps to climb and no one to help with bags. I understand the age of the building but there are laws around this. Such a disappointment from this poor hotel. We did notice a wedding was going to be held at the hotel the following day as suspect that this party was given priory over other booked guests. The Management seriously need to look at how this hotel is operated as no Manager was available to speak to us and left this to their staff. There are much nicer hotels in York for a much more reasonable price.

Electric access is available with staff assistance. D.C.H - The Restaurant has stunning views of York Minster. The Lounge-Bar serves snacks and sandwiches. The hotel has it's own secure car park. No smoking throughout.
Wonderful hotel in a very special location. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Great food and dog friendly! Valet parking worked very well. If the only 'gripe' is that the shampoo and shower gel dispensers in the bath were at a strange height, then there's not a lot else to say, other than 'thank you'!!

With an elegant Victorian exterior, the Yorkshire Hotel in Harrogate overlooks The Stray and offers a range of bedrooms just minutes from Bettys Tea Rooms & Harrogate Convention Centre. It has a Bar, Restaurant & Free WiFi. Many of our rooms feature a town-view and all benefit from complimentary toiletries supplied by H2K of Harrogate, a flat-screen TV and room service. Scran offers an a la carte menu of contemporary and imaginatively cooked British dishes and the bar serves a range of ales, spirits, wine and soft drinks. The vast majority of local attractions in the town are less than a 5 minutes' walk, Harrogate Bus & Rail Stations are closeby and Leeds Bradford Airport is just a 25 minute drive.
Stayed for two nights. Check in efficient by friendly receptionist. Room spacious enough with reasonable storage. Bed comfy. View was to the rear of the hotel so not the best. Parking outside available at a price. Cheaper in nearby multi -storey which was pointed out by the receptionist. Only a two minute walk away. Breakfast was the usual. Fruit/yogurt. Cereals. Full English. Some pastries. Would have liked to have seen ham, cheeses and crusty bread/baguette for a continental style breakfast. However still ok. All staff professional and courteous
