Reviewed By Francesco CWhile on holiday I spent two nights with my family in this hotel: big, quite, comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast and meals in the hotel cafeteria (not to mention the cakes!), quality service and friendly staff. I would definitely return.

Far away from stress and rush Alpine style, dreamy sight Koralphe area is 1150 meter above the see level . The hotel is a nonsmoking , typical alpine inn . If you look out of the windows you will see the marvelous Lavant valley, Karacankák and Julia Alps. Although you are far from stress and rush but it is near to the Wolsberg-Süd highway (about 13 km). We have twenty confortabe rooms, most of them with balcony. Lovely place
Reviewed By monitarcsaFriendly service. Premium hotel in the town. I have wonderful time in here. The food was amazing, the place is like in the fairytales. The workers there speaks german and hungarian. Up in Koralpe you can skiing or hiking and down in Wolfsberg you can so shopping, or visiting the lions.

Reviewed By Lisa BI booked this hotel purely for the location convenience to the A2 autobahn in Austria. We arrived very hot and tired after a long day and we were moving from Graz to Turin. We were kindly greeted by staff and given the key to our room. Absolutely beautiful AND BONUS = the room has air conditioning!!!!! Extremely comfortable beds and a lovely bathroom with fantastic shower. We had a lovely early dinner. Wiener Schnitzel was one of the best we had ever had and a wonderful mixed salad!!!! The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. Thanks to all for a memorable stay!!!

Great position and very welcoming
Reviewed By higvinDriving around this beautiful part of Carinthia on a Saturday in June, it was surprisingly difficult to find any open hotels. So coming across the Aldershof, right on the river in central Wolfsberg, was very welcome. I had a very comfortable large room with excellent bathroom overlooking the river, with buffet breakfast, for €72. The lady at reception (who speaks very good English) was exceptionally warm and welcoming and went to the trouble of booking me a table at the nearby excellent restaurant Kainz (see separate review) for dinner (there weren’t many dinner open restaurant options either). There were church bells but not before 6am - so manageable compared to other parts of the German-speaking world where they can go all night. Highly recommended

Fabulous place for a family ski holiday

We did the half board package (breakfast & dinner) and the food was superb! The hotel is perfectly located at the bottom of the slopes so you can easily ski in/out. Thanks for a great stay.

Reviewed By Bernadeta KWe had a fantastic time at this guesthouse,very friendly owner, great breakfast and very dog friendly place.The restaurant offers delicious food, highly recommend it. The room was spacious and very clean with large bathroom.The area is very peaceful away from the noisy city.Beautiful scenery,pictureus mountain view from our room,and had great hikes with our dog. Will definitely come back.

How to provide a very weak service at great location
Reviewed By panyekLot of small problems with operation of the Feriendorf. After you pay a nice sum for the house, you receive a skeleton. If you want to make it work, you are charged for the small things, for example: -no soap at all in the house -you pay 110EUR for bedsheet a towels, and 150EUR for cleaning, so an additional 260EUR, and they are unable to make your bed. You receive all the bedsheets for 5 person in a big bag at the reception, which you have to take it to your house, and make your bed accordingly (perfect welcome program...) -in the house no internet, unless you pay daily extra charge. 21th century, congrats! -there is a nice fireplace in the living room, wood nowhere. After asking for it, the answer is that you can buy it here and there and take it to your house by yourself... So it's a nice building, good location, but the total experience is very low due to the way it's operated...

Unsere Kinder (10, 11 J.) waren mit den wirklich lieben Tieren so glücklich, es war ein Genuss, sie so zu erleben. Die Zimmer sind hervorragend, unglaublich sauber und von bestem Standard, ebenso die Betten. Wir haben uns selten in einem Quartier so wohlgefühlt und traurig, abreisen zu müssen. Die Umgebung und die Aussicht sind dann noch die Zugabe.

Short-term accommodation with obstacles.

Therefore I can’t understand the high ranking on the internet page of booking.com! The only thing that made a 3* possible was the lady that served us. She was really nice! A relaxation trip weekend for three was our idea on the 23rd and 24th of June 2018. Over Murtal, Turracherhöhe, Wolfsberg and back home again. We booked a short-term stay in the guesthouse Oelberger. A double room for us and a single room for a disabled person with a wheelchair. Unfortunately the drive to the guesthouse promised more than it was. Instead of a double room we got a 5-bed room with 5 single beds, which we could push together, however there remained a gap of 15cm in between the beds. We were more than disappointed. We would have preferred to drive straight home! Nevertheless, we managed to spend the one night there. We went to the restaurant and ordered drinks and food. The lady that served us was extremely nice and tried her best. If I'm not mistaken she was the sister of the owner. The food came, it was okay to good but nothing too special. Later in the evening we moved indoors because there was a cool wind outside. The decor inside is definitely outdated and smelled of stale smoke. It looked like the last people inside were family but I could be wrong. What we noticed, however, was when the service was gone, they weren’t particularly interested in us as guests. We had to call several times and empty glasses didn’t seem to bother the owner much either. We also had the opinion they spoke of the service when she was gone and laughed at or over her and as a parent you also don’t smoke with a child on your lap! We spent the night in a 5-bed room - distanced to my wife. Unfortunately! Mattress OK, pillows not really. Room clean. I talked to another guest, he felt no different. In the morning we went to breakfast. Orange juice had black pieces in it. It was exchanged, without a word or an apology. Counter selection was mediocre but nothing special. Only the coffee tasted good. If you’re not used to somewhat better or higher standards or don’t expect much when staying overnight and spending more money than it's worth, or not being served, then you can stay in the guesthouse or eat in the restaurant. Unfortunately, we won’t be heading there again and I can't think for a moment that I'd tell our friends they should go or stay there!
