Our guest house is a traditional 400 year old Black Forest house which has been renovated continually to a very comfortable standard. Our rooms are all Ensuite. We take pride in providing our guests with value for money and giving you a holiday to remember - for all the right reasons!
We stayed 5 days in Haus Erika and I can really recommend this place. In the middle of a nice village with a lot of hiking trails started at the front door, so no car needed. Rooms are neat, clean and cosy. We booked with Smart Box ( Bongo ) and this included 2 diners, which were very very good. Also the breakfast and the lunch boxes are super. The owners are very friendly and super helpfull. Sure we go back if we visit Black Forest again. Thank you for the nice stay. Francis and Ann from Belgium

We were a large group aged in the main 50+ and phoned to book earlier that day(Tuesday) but told to arrive anytime. Arrived 19.30hrs for evening meal. Not made welcome and only offered set main course options and no starters. Steak poor quality despite high cost and it was incorrectly cooked -well done being being served as rare .They didnt ask if happy with meal or ask if wanted desert or more drinks or coffee. No chips or potatoes only salad with the steak. Couldnt pay by credit card. Poorest restaurant ever visited and not made welcome.Advice is to go elsewhere.

Welcome to the Hotel Wiedener Eck Take a break and feel good - with four stars • Modern guest room • Gourmet all over - out of the kitchen and the wine caller • Game menus out of the hunting ground of Martin, Lorenz and Johannes Wissler • Wellness Area with pool and sauna • WiFi all over • Free using of the parking next to the hotel • Mountains, sun and view all over....
Stayed for 1 week in a junior suite with our 2 dogs. Ideal location to head out on foot to explore this part of the Black Forest. If you want you can walk for a whole week in all directions without having to take your car once. Breakfast and dinner very good. Good choice and good quality. Portions rather big. Lunchpack you can order also more than sufficient. Room itself was clean, good size and very quiet. Saunapart rather small but ok. But might be an issue in winter since more visitors.... Overall recommended. We will go back one day.

The hotel was very close the ski run and slow run. The hotel seems family run so they were very welcoming, helpfull and family oriented. The family room (nr.11) - devided in two connected rooms (see one room in the photo) - was big and had a livingroom-area. The furniture was a bit old but fine - considering it is a family room and we were traveling with a small child it worked perfectly ... no stress over spilled water needed. The bathroom was clean, no daylight, but a hairdryer as well as shampoo and soap. The room had a good view and balcony. The breakfast was nice, a big variety, a nice view and a fresh egg. They had a playroom and parking right in front. The restaurant was very good and the food (see the photos) as well as the service good. Over all good but mit High-End. But who cares if the snow is close by.

Our newly built house is situated on the sunny southern hillside of the picturesque village of Wieden. Our light and airy rooms are all comfortably furnished with modern facilities and are complete with large shower rooms. All of our rooms have access to a balcony or to a patio and with a tastfully decorated breakfast room you'll feel at home with us!Wieden can be found nestling between the two mountains, Belchen and the Feldberg. Our area is affectionately known as the “Three Countries Triangle” ! We are situated about one hour away from Switzerland and France – making us the ideal base for your day trips.Whether rambling, cycling, mountain biking, or touring on the motorbike, we're sure you love staying here! In winter there is plenty to do too! We have downhill skiing, cross country skiing, tobogganing, snow shoe tours and winter trails specially prepared for the walker. There are so many things to do and see in our area of the Black Forest that we are sure that you'll have trouble fitting it all in.
We spent 6 nights in August at this delightful B&B and were completely bowled over by Stefanie and her family. From the moment we arrived we felt like part of the family. Breakfast consisted of freshly home baked bread and rolls, homemade jams, honey, different musli and cereals, cooked meats, cheeses and egg based dishes. We even had smoked salmon one morning. The quality was exceptional!!! Stefanie gave us directions to Freiburg ( so that we could park free of charge and hop on the tram into the city centre - all free of charge using the Konus Card). She told us where to go and the best things to see and we really enjoyed the little personal touches and information. The house is clean and tidy and in a modern style. The rooms are comfortable and spacious! The mattresses were comfortable and the bed was superking ( so enough space to lose your other half in). The room also had a comfortable sofa and coffee table with television. The furniture is a good quality and the view from the balcony was/ is simply fantastic. When the temperature dropped in the evening Stefanie came to tell us to turn the radiator on ( as it dropped right down to 8º C that night). This was a nice touch as I tend to feel the cold a bit. All in all I would say that staying in Gasthaus Sonnhalde made our holiday. I will definitely be recommending her B&B to friends and we’ll be back!!!
