Built on the site of Lulworth’s original watermill, Lulworth Lodge is our quintessential coastal hotel with an all-day ground floor bistro. Situated a pebble’s skim from the famous Lulworth Cove, this affordable beachside hotel features 12 simple & stylish bedrooms. The South West Coast Path is on the doorstep with Durdle Door, Mupe Bay and Osmington a short ‘climb’ away. From our Super Snug bedrooms - to our Lodge Suite boasting panoramic views over Lulworth Cove. This modern beachside hotel offers comfortable accommodation; good food and friendly service enhanced by stunning sunsets and the sound of the gentle swoosh of the waves. The ground floor bistro has a youthful air and plenty of local fish on the menu, as well as an outside deck that is perfect for summer dining, soaking up the sun and enjoying a perfectly executed glass of fizz.
The location of Lulworth Lodge and bistro is without doubt fantastic, with access to Lulworth Cove literally on your doorstep and varied coastal walks that are all exhilarating and lead to gorgeous locations along the coast. A positive is the ease of parking the car in the enormous public car park a few hundred yards away and booking in the car at the hotel for your stay (free). We pre-booked our evening meal which was lovely but I would add the drinks are a little steep pricewise. The rooms are very cosy but well equipped and we had a lovely view out towards the pond and coastal scenery. The King bed was very comfortable and amenities provided good with a small fridge in the hall opposite. The bathroom was compact but modern. The Lodge is an old building with really nice decor and a comfortable seating area downstairs, the rooms are very close to one another and we could hear the family with young children adjacent to our room. Several of the rooms are dog friendly which is a real positive for us. The Breakfast service is very good with a good choice of juices, fresh fruit, yoghurt and breads to help yourself and table service for full English or Salmon and poached eggs and the lady that served us both times was really friendly and helpful. Overall a lovely stay and without doubt the location of the Lodge is it’s 10/10 factor.

Really lovely quirky old hotel with a modern twist as well. Stayed for 2 nights and have booked to stay again in August. Our room was great, we had a balcony with views of the cove and great to people watch from. Lovely outside seating area which gets very busy during the day. Food was very good, breakfast has a good selection, table service apart from getting your cereals. Lunch time seemed to be pop on and have lunch and drinks. Evening meals, tables need to br booked.

We’ve just got home from a lovely couple of days in Lulworth Cove, staying at The Castle Inn. We stayed in room 4, Stairhole, such a lovely, comfortable room. The Castle Inn is in a perfect location, around a 10 minute walk down to the cove. The food was really good. If you get to try the Eton Mess with the shortbread, the shortbread was to die for! All of the staff work so hard but a special mention to Kelly who seemed to go above and beyond! We look forward to returning again soon.

My partner and I wanted to book a stay at this charming hotel for a long time, and finally, after a long wait, we could escape the fast-paced city vibe for two nights. Our expectations were met at all levels: location, cleanliness, service, food and drinks, ambience, everything was spotless! Everyone at the hotel was so nice and made us feel welcomed since our arrival. We stayed in the Boat room, a lovely cosy corner room facing the garden. At night, we enjoyed a very peaceful sleep, away from the night buzzing we hear in the city. Our dinners and breakfasts were great, the food was outstanding and the service impeccable. We can only recommend this place to future travellers in search of a hideaway and an unforgettable experience. Many thanks for everything! I & M

This is a small hostel at the end of a little village with a pub and a playground and a 15min walk by road to Lulworth Cove. (The coastal path takes you up the hill for a lovely view but you can't get to the beach that way anymore as the path has eroded) There are only 7 rooms so it is small and friendly and mostly families with some couples when we were here. Everyone pitches in and it was a very nice atmosphere. The morning staff couldn't be any more helpful. (And thank you for offering to wash our dishes!) Monkey world is 15mins away by car. Swanage Railway is about 35mins and definitely worth a trip up to Corfe. The kitchen is very equipped. A few niggly bits....the photos and description show storage cupboards in the bedrooms but there aren't any so we had to use the 5th bed to lay out our ththings. There aren't any reading lights either so once the kids are in the bed you are torch light only. The soap dispensers in the toilets and bathrooms at the sinks are far too high for any child to reach. And just a tip to the social drinkers....you can only drink alcohol bought on premises!! Certainly would consider coming back though. Thank you for a lovely stay

Four star family run B&B with Silver Award and Breakfast Award, set in beautiful Lulworth Cove area. Restaurants and pubs both in the village and at the cove which are a short walk away [approx 5 minutes]. Guests are encouraged to use our quiet gardens to relax in,or to access the coastal walks. All the beaches are a short distance away, with Lulworth Cove only 8 minutes away. All rooms have a TV, fridge and tea/coffee facilities and are en suite. We have dog friendly rooms and room 3 is a dedicated dog free room. Pictures of the rooms, facilities and costs can be seen on the website.
We enjoyed our time here so much! At the end of our Jurassic Coast hike, we stayed one night in West Lulworth. The Old Barn is just a 10 minutes hike from Lulworth Cove, but West Lulworth is less touristy and therefore the better option for a stay. Our hosts were most friendly (Andrew even offered us a ride to the train station the next day), the breakfast excellent, and the room spacious and cozy with a wonderful view on the village church. Would love to come back some day!

We stayed here for a week for a post COVID family break. The first thing that struck us on arrival was the cleanliness of the place which was exceptional throughout, with hand sanitiser at the entrance. Ivy cottage is extremely comfortable with all 3 bedrooms being a very good size considering this is an old thatched property. The kitchen has all you need as a family and the living room is comfortable. In the morning we had breakfast in the garden on a couple of occasions as the sun rises over the house and you are bathed in a lovely warmth. Location is great for strolling down to Lulworth cove and over the Durdle Door - we didn't even find the traffic going past too much on the hot days. Only word of caution is the car park area which is shared with Little Ivy and is pretty awkward to park into when Little Ivy's space is occupied - other than this a high quality chocolate box type holiday home.
