Wonderful Inn and Restaurant!
Reviewed By Calin MI have visited this place several times since 2005, and have stayed there and enjoyed the restaurant on each occasion. I really can’t fault it! My latest visit was just to the restaurant with my wife and a friend. We had a fabulous meal and the waiter was just so helpful and pleasant. The owner is really nice too! I really can’t recommend this place highly enough!

Our hotel is located directly at the Danube, enclosed in the romantic Upper-Austrian Danube valley. The idyllic village Wesenufer is close to Engelhartszell and is only a few kilometers away from the famous Schlögener Schlinge. There is an own boat landing stage right in front of the hotel. The building's history goes back over 300 years. After a complete renovation in the year 2008, the building makes a great visual impact with its sleek modern spirit – a successful symbiosis of old and new. In the year 2013, the hotel was extended with the new building "Donaublick" (view of the Danube) and the restoration of the commercial brewery building, which is a class listed monument. All 49 rooms are designed in a modern style and invite to feel comfortable. Additionally, the hotel features 3 barrier-free rooms. The entire hotel area is barrier-free. More, the hotel offers a spa area with sauna and infrared cabin, a restaurant and bar, a magnificent Danube Terrace and a special garden.
Beautiful location, historic with a modern twist
Reviewed By Ange516We found this place because it was on the list of recommended hotels from friends who got married in the area and really liked it. It became our base for a four-day bike tour and without any issues, we were able to rent bikes and helmets here, and leave our luggage behind. They also efficiently organised our taxi transfer to Passau in the early Sunday morning hours. The location right on the Danube is superb and just walking around the little village and the river is nice and relaxing. The historic building was renovated with great imagination, combining old and new and creating many lovely places to relax, eat, sit and enjoy. The breakfast is lovely, with food from local farms and we also enjoyed a very nice dinner with local wines in the courtyard outside. There's even a little mini market if you want to buy local goods or a picnic. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the wifi worked well. I personally very much liked the socially responsible concept of the place, training and employing people with disability which adds a special note. Our only problem was the heat and the fact that the rooms became incredibly hot and there was no way to cool them down which was quite uncomfortable until it cooled down outside. It would be nice if the hotel made fans or cooled water available for days like that.

Best stop in Donauradweg
Reviewed By 209sorincBest restaurant in area! We tryed different fresh fishes from meniu, each was incredible! Beer is great, weizen in top! Ernst, the very friendly owner is always there douing his best to make you feel good! The rooms are modern, very spacious and clean! Always a pleasure to come back and having a good biking experience!

Reviewed By Tester59Wie waren im November in der Pension. Zimmer war geräumig und weitestgehend sauber. Schmutz war nicht da, aber tote Fliegen lagen im Zimmer. Frühstück war ok aber nicht gerade opulent. Für eine Nacht echt ok und preiswert.
