This is a large villa situated in a small village close to Vila Flor. The room was large, comfortable and well appointed. The shower was small and difficult to use without causing a flood. Breakfast was excellent with many nice touches including home-made choices. Vila Flor is an interesting town with lots of dining choices.

A 19th century farmers house in Tras-os-Montes, with a mill in which olives were pressed for hand-made olive oil and wine production (crushing by animal traction). To guarantee the guests modern days comfort without losing the environment of the past, the entire house was worked on, recuperated, creating modern rooms and common spaces.
Good place to stay and visit a several points of interest in Trás-os-Montes like Santuário Nossa Senhora da Assunção (with a terrific view), Vila Flor, Mirandela,... Inside a small village you have the look and feel of the traditional portuguese life. Positive points are the owner simpathy, confortable bed, good wifi and good breakfeast, with a variety of portuguese traditional products. If you like rural tourism and you are tired of the impersonal hotels this is the right choice!

Everything was great there! Well maintained charming building with pool area overlooking the fields. The room was big enough, beds comfortable and no noice neither from outside nor from inside. Breakfast was simple, but very nicely served. Staff however didn't speak English, but actually this brought extra charm to this country hotel and atmosphere.

We stayed here after friends from Perth recommended it from their recent trip to Portugal. It was a little out of the way of our Douro Valley trip but we enjoyed spending a night at this lovely Quinta. We arrived later than expected but the gorgeous young lady who looks after the Quinta was smiling and made us the best G&T with fresh juniper berries and orange for us to enjoy overlooking the vines. The weather was still delightfully warm so we could sit outside for drinks and also the delicious dinner of the local sausage with potato with garlic butter and a salad of vine ripened tomato, onion and capsicum. Simple but so lovely. Washed down with a bottle of their red wine (8 euros a bottle so don’t expect Grange!) the evening was really lovely. The bedroom (and all the Quinta) feels new, the room was lovely with a seperate sitting area where they had made a bed for our daughter. Shutters on the windows kept it dark in the morning. The bed was very comfy so we had a great sleep (maybe the extra port helped!) before a continental breakfast. We took our breakfast from the buffet to the outdoor verandah again to enjoy the warm morning and the views. Would recommend staying here, they have a pool which we didn’t use and bikes. An absolute bargain at around $100 inc dinner/drinks!

Very peaceful rural setting with pool and great views. The rooms were quite simple but everything you need. The bathroom smelt of the drains and although we ran the water it kept coming back, not ideal. We did let the lady who runs the place know. Lovely dinner, roast lamb, and excellent local wine. The olive oil made on the estate was also exceptionally good. Breakfast was OK but nothing special.
