La Fontana Restaurant with rooms has been family run since 1988.Italy is a country rich in food, wine and culture. Italians have a passion for sharing genuine hospitality with family and friends. As part of our commitment to bringing this experience home to you, we have established La Fontana Restaurant with Roomsin East Hanney to bring you Italy’s flavourful, robust cooking styles, delicious wines and Italian generosity.
I had my birthday meal at La Fontana, a table for 12. Service was excellent from the time of booking, through to the actual meal. The food on the eveing was superb no-one had to hang around waiting we all got our meals one after the other. The atmosphere in the restaurant suited our group due to one child with ASD, something like that is important as it can either make the evening enjoyable or it can not! We will certainly go back

The food at the Bear is second to none - great quality, and it's always executed so well. We're so lucky in Wantage to have such a gorgeous place to eat - the chef's nothing less than superb. I've never had a bad meal there...EVER!

The Kingswell has a welcoming atmosphere & provides the highest standards of freshly cooked, locally supplied food, drink & effortless service. Located in the beautiful south Oxfordshire countryside only minutes away from Harwell Campus, Abingdon, Wantage, Milton Park & Didcot. We also have 20 fully equipped bedrooms & meeting facilities within our traditional building, parts of which used to be a 16th Century Farmhouse.General informationThe sixteenth century oak-beamed restaurant offers extensive menus, as well as a traditional Sunday Lunch.Luncheon is served between 12 pm and 2 pm Monday to Sunday. Dinner is available between 6.00 pm and 9.00 pm Monday to Sunday. All dishes are freshly prepared in our kitchen, with an emphasis on using local produce. To the best of our knowledge no GM ingredients.
WARNING - Nothing boutique about the rooms. Tired, tatty, no curtains (just a thin blind), damaged mattress, single glazed windows, no AC, guard dog barking constantly outside. No service at all after 10pm, nobody answering the phone through the day. Some of the rudest staff I've ever witnessed in hospitality. When addressing the many issues upon checking out, the man turned extremely rude and angry and said he "couldn't care less what review I write"!! Not even an apology was muttered. Instead he was just talking over the top of me and walking away.....I wish we'd read some of the reviews before booking and paying. Utter disgrace of an establishment. Premier Inn's are twice as nice and a 3rd of the price.

I booked for my family to stay for long weekend to attend a function for a significant birthday. Arrival and departure were exactly as the proprietor had explained to me on the phone. Breakfast was great every day and every thing was exactly as shown in the information pages on the various trip websites and parking was easy and convenient directly outside. Jackie the owner was lovely and came and saw us to find out how are we were and talk to us. We really couldn't have asked for much more. I would happily return.

Stayed 2 nights in Feb in a single ensuite room - simple room with good shower, lots of hot water; generous central heating. Spotlessly clean, with a comfortable small double bed; plenty of tea & coffee supplies and excellent lighting for work or reading in bed. Chose the breakfast included rate and it was very good value for a full breakfast. Looks like there is no ground floor room so you do need to climb stairs to the rooms. Pub was very quiet each night. Some traffic noise from the A338 in the morning but not enough to disturb. Easy to find.

The Greyhound Inn is a proper village pub serving really delicious freshly cooked seasonal food alongside great ales and wines. It is also the perfect places to escape to and sleep over in one of our eight individually decorated ensuite bathrooms, whether you are visiting friends, on business, just having a break from it all, or getting active in the great outdoors.
Loved staying here, fabulous food and a well presented place. Small lovely touches with homemade shortbread in the room with local water in bottles and shampoo/conditioner supplied. Would highly recommend
