Imagine Lush Mountain greenery, a clear blue sky, a refreshing cool sea breeze, sparking turquoise ocean and fine, white sandy beaches. It's paradise on the beautiful island of Koh Chang, just 330 km from Bangkok.
Booked 16 nights so a bit of a risk but happy with hotel. Staying on beach side with sea outlook. Nice pools. Nice gym and big room where you can box which is fun. Free kayaks if that’s your thing. Breakfast is really good, nice breads, muesli, all the usual stuff. Some cooked meals excellent some so so. TV channels poor for English speakers but good reason not to turn it on. Beach is best in Koh Chang. Nice to be back at Koh Chang and happy to stay at this hotel. A tip. If arriving at a time when Thais are eg holidays arrive before the big crowds or you’ll be stuck in long lines of cars. Most times it is fine.

We aim to contribute to your happiness, well knowing that this is more over a lifetime task.
When I first entered the hotel, I was amazed by the beautiful building and was welcomed by a very helpful and friendly staff. In addition, the staff were always at place when you needed them. The hotel room had a beautiful view on the pool, was very clean and seemed luxurious. The morning breakfast and the buffet was very tasty and delivered a broad variety of meals. Lastly, the beach was directly besides the hotel where also a fire show and singers were on site. What a great entertainment! I would definitely recommend spending the time here at Koh Chang

It was absolutely one of the worst resort experiences we had in Thailand! Where can I start? From the time we checked in until we left the hotel, we had many issues. We arrived after a long trip from Bangkok with our 6 year old daughter and 1 month old baby. We booked via Booking.com and waited to check in for 30 mins, and after we went to our room they ran to us to get an extra payment for our daughter right away, as if we were running away! The rooms were absolutely dirty, shower and toilet looked like it has not bern cleaned for a long time. Bathtub was even worse, full of dust, insects etc. you do not want to get in. We had to spend a lot of time in the room since we had a small baby and I asked the hotel for the room cleaning service during the time we could be out for a brief period (1-2 hrs due to extremely hot weather). I was told between 12-14 pm there is no room service but they will pick up the trash and do a quick maintenance. We went to a coffee shop close to the hotel just to wait for the room service (because there is no air conditioned area at the hotel) just to find out when we are back that they did not come for room service!! Breakfast is poor with lack of international choices, you cannot order breakfast to room even if you want to pay, dine in menu selections are very limited and your order takes a long time, 1+ hr. Hotel facilities are also poor, sunbeds, chairs on thr beach is quite old. Restaurant on the beach was a bad experience as well, we had to wait such a long time for every order, even the soft drinks! Hotel is also not baby friendly with many stairs to the breakfast area. All in all, avoid this hotel at any cost! We are truly dissapointed and considering leaving early despite we have done a full payment in advance.

Sea View Koh Chang is one of the best Koh Chang beachfront resort, nestled in a secluded location on beautiful Kai Bae Beach of Koh Chang, Thailand’s second largest island. Relax and indulge in the one of the finer things in life as you truly unwind and feel closer to nature in our Koh Chang private beach resort which will give you the sensation of exclusivity luxury for the duration of your stay.
I found their services were limited and under conditions, some conditions were untold and unwritten. Resort’s rules were relatively highly detailed i.e. (1) leftover breakfast will be charged 100 THB per 100 g, (2) food taken out of breakfast area will cost 200 THB per 100 g, (3) dress code during breakfast (weird, considering that you are on your beach holiday not academic conference) etc. For me, these highly (told and untold) conditional services made unnecessarily unrelaxed and unbreathable atmosphere. The examples of the untold/unwritten/unclear conditional services are (1) in-villa breakfast needs to be ordered 1 day in advance, (2) romantic dinner needs to be ordered 1 day in advance (although another staff said ‘3 hours in advance’, another one said ‘depends on weather’ and another one said ‘cannot be served in room’ and another one said ‘can be served in room’). The hotel is full of trainees, inexperienced, untrained staffs. These kind of staffs can be seen as unintentionally unhelpful. They see the whole business through the eyes of ‘trainee’. They would lecture you about the resort rules just like how they had been lectured. A few untrained waiters coughed while standing behind my head/back. Sometimes you needed to speak to 5 trainees and received various different answers before getting 1 simple problem fixed. I felt more like I was ‘teaching them’ rather than ‘had been serviced by them’. The intentionally unhelpful staffs were minority but interesting. This intentionally unhelpful staffs can help, but choose not to and even stop other staffs to do so. The food and beverage division was the case. After several occasions, we stopped hoping for unexpected hospitality/generosity, we only hoped to receive the service they promised. In more specific details; On my first breakfast I found the air condition (AC) in the buffet venue was leaking dirty water into the food, plates and cutlery, guests etc. To me, this is serious as it can contaminate food and cause consequential health problems at the cost of the guests. We brought the issue to the manager, however, he replied ‘as you can see, everything is under operation now. People are having their breakfasts and I just can’t stop the whole thing to fix the problematic AC’. Yet, the dirty water had been leaking for the next consecutive days throughout our stay and we avoided food served under that particular AC. I got diarrhea and felt very dizzy on my 3rd morning during breakfast. We all (4 of us) didn’t have much breakfast because of my sickness. We decided to come back to the room for me to use toilet and rest. I wasn’t too worried about kids not eating enough because I knew we had our privilege in-villa breakfast service that we could order anytime from 7-10am. After I rested and felt better, I phoned the breakfast restaurant attempting to ask for coconuts (good for diarrhea) and bread basket for kids. The answer was ‘no’. The reason was my breakfast was already consumed, so, it’s done. At this point, we still hoped that we could take the service from this division as it is. I then decided to extend 2 extra nights on our pool villa suite at the cost of 13,000++ THB a night. We decided to stay because of the resort’s landscape, and the cleanliness of the accommodation. However, my last straw was when we tried to order ‘in-room breakfast’ on our 5th morning (raining heavily, more difficult with young kids), and were informed that it was impossible because we must reserve that one day in advance, while this rule has never been told and/or written anywhere. In their breakfast order papers (laid on desk in the villa, please see picture), it’s only said ‘please clearly indicate the meal items for your breakfast. We are happy to serve you as much as you can eat, but any leftover food will be charged at THB100/100 g’. There’s no information about having to ‘order one-day in advance’ written anywhere. When I explained this to a Thai staff at the breakfast restaurant, she understood my situation from my point of view and told me that they would try their best to serve the breakfast (thank you guys). However, around 5 mins later, I got a phone call from the same Thai staff saying that they can’t do it anymore, because their manager told them not to. I think this became too unfair because: (1) I did not know about their untold rule (2) it was raining and difficult for us (3) the breakfast restaurant could fix this but they chose not to (4) I paid for the service at the cost of THB 13,000++, but did not receive the service I talked to Tom, the front office manager who doesn’t seem to have any authority over anyone or anything, about my problem. The answers were as expected; (1) No, he can’t intervene this (2) No, he doesn’t have an authority to do that (3) Yes, he understands me but sorry can’t help. We decided to leave the resort immediately which was a shame…. as the resort’s landscape is really distinctively beautiful.

A true gem of a resort. With renovations done during COVID time the bungalows are spotless and comfortable. The new Beach Bar is truly amazing with VERY affordable prices (100 THB for big Chang beer!). The newly built waterpark is very nice. There was some unclarity and frustration on the rules of entry but this was very well handled by management. Thank you for that! Please be aware that special swim attire is mandatory for the water park slides and slides are off limits for small children. Food is great, beach is great, staff is great. Really great place! See you next time

On the island's most privileged location, Kacha Resort & Spa is set in the heart of Koh Chang's most beautiful White Sand Beach. The resort is a beachfront resort with a great sea view and is a perfect place for a holiday with your loved one, a group of special friends, or your whole family. Not only that you will enjoy living by the sea, lazing around on white sand beach and clear sea-water, but also you will have wonderful moments with such beachside activities. Along the beach, there are varieties of activity, either day-time or night-time, waiting for you to be selected. Each evening the beachfront attracts more people with some volleyball and football teams, working out on the wide beachfront along with exquisite sunset, courtesy of the low tide. Also, restaurants and bars along the beach are just fantastic for those who love night life.
Overall very disappointed with the resort. Beautiful location and some great staff but facilities not looked after very well. Check in was slow, meaning we got to our room at 4:40pm after trying to check in at 2pm. Swimming pool area was great and the pool boys were very helpful but no service around the pool for food and drinks. No phone line in the room, so had to walk to reception across the road if we needed anything. No iron in the resort at all, not ideal for weddings. Breakfast was average at best and most the food was empty when we arrived each day, so we ate elsewhere. No working card machine in reception to pay bills at check out. The beach was never cleaned in front of the resort like other places on the beach. Overall a very disappointing experience. Great hotel but poorly run.

This four-star resort backs onto a river and an untouched jungle to one side and a 400-metre stretch of white sand to the other, and with a comprehensive range of facilities including a spa, a large ocean-facing swimming pool, and complimentary water sports, it has something for everyone. At a minimum of 58 square metres, the suites and villas are generously-sized and designed with a bright, tropical décor. Each features a spacious balcony or terrace and an airy living room. Guests can also enjoy the option of an outdoor Jacuzzi overlooking the untamed vegetation or the beach which is dotted by Casuarina trees. The resort is also home to one restaurant and one bar. Trat Airport and the pier where boats to Koh Chang depart from are a convenient one-hour drive from the resort while Bangkok can be reached in about five hours by road.
An honest feed back from recent visit at the hotel. I like your hotel. However, disappointed with overall condition of the hotel as it looks and feel run down. Obviously, refurbishment id required and should have been carried out during Covid 19 outbreak.
