This Ryokan was a great place! We stayed in room 402. We opted for dinner our room. The room had a great view, extremely clean, and comfortable. Additionally, the ryokan was accommodating with food allergies- we called ahead to ask if they can make accommodations and they did. The food was DELICIOUS!! Also, the the onsen was great! They have the public and private bath options. The location of the ryokan was convenient. We will be staying here again when we return Tottori. Thank you fo such a wonderful stay!

We stayed here for five nights during our train travels in and around the area. Room was roomy and comfortable, location convenient to train station and eateries. I especially enjoyed using the spa with onsen and massage chair, though I could have used a lesson on how to use it. The daily breakfast buffet for an additional $5 pp./day, was the best thing about staying here. Lots of choices of high-quality dishes, both Asian and Western items, Fresh and well prepared food. I enjoyed trying different specialities over four mornings -- we got off to an energizing start. You never get bored with this breakfast. Staff in the dining area were friendly and helpful. Many hotels in other cities we visited offered a less impressive breakfast buffet for $25 pp, which we passed on. But this one exceeded our expectations, especially for the price. Thanks to the hotel for offering a wonderful room and breakfast value!

I don’t read Japanese but I do read Chinese, so I was able to understand perhaps 50% of written Japanese with the help of Kanji. During breakfast (free of charge buffet breakfast), I looked around the dining lobby and discovered a lot of signs showing that this hotel spent a lot of effort in researching how to make people sleep better. I really slept so well during the three nights of stay here. It was even better than the bed at my home! My mum and I could fall asleep within three minutes into bed all three nights! The buffet breakfast is of good quality too. The dishes were changed everyday. And it was truly completely free of charge. Bikes are available for borrowing. Sadly I didn’t get the time to cycle around Tottori, but it is for sure a city suitable for cycling around, because there were not many people on the streets. I guess I won’t return to Tottori in the near future, but if I do, I am more than willing to come back to this hotel!

We stayed there for two nights at the end of Nov. It isn't located near the Tottori JR Station, guess it takes abt 10 mins to walk there. There are some shops along the streets. After check-in, the staff gave me a bag of amenity. Shavers are available on front desk. Parking lot is available for guests. They charge for 500 yen. Room is clean and bed is comfy too. Wifi is okay.

I guess if you are looking for low priced, no frills accommodation, then the Toyoko Inn fits. This is the first time I stayed in a Toyoko Inn and I must say I was shocked by the tiny room. It was quite amusing to see a note on the bed with instructions to store the luggage under the bed. Still credit goes to the design of the room, fitting in a tiny fridge, a desk, twin beds and a cubicle bathroom with toiletries provided, a shower that is connected to the sink tap. There is no room to move around, so one has to be prepared to just sleep in the room. (I think if you are in a double room with a queen bed, it could be a little more comfortable.) Essentially, you get all the basics you need in the room. Breakfast is included, so it is a pretty good deal. The staff are very helpful when you need directions to restaurants or information on Tottori. I just wanted the room to be less claustrophobic.

Hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the train station and nothing much to do around its location. Room is pretty big as I stayed in standard twin bedroom. You can either sleep on the bed or laying futon on the floor and lie down on it, there is a plenty of space for this. Toilet is in the room but staying here you only get shared bathroom where you can enjoy onsen bathing which is well organized, spacey, and clean. Staffs are okay, they serve you pretty well even language is kinda a barrier. Price is rather high compare to the same standard of hotels nearby. However, with the price you pay more, the bigger space you would get, and that is it.

It is possible because it is a hotel directly owned by a major fisheries wholesale company! ! The freshness is outstanding and the price is super exceptional! ! In addition, you can enjoy two kinds of hot spring unusual in the ryokan at the inn.

First let me say the location is great, the staff are fantastic and the hotel is clean However our room was the most uncomfortable we have had in Japan The bed low and hard the bathroom almost impossible for an elderly traveller to get into with a step 10” high to negotiate add to that the sound of lifts coming and going all night and the general lack of upkeep in the hotel and rooms in particular- peeling wallpaper and worn carpets A hotel built in the 90’s and not touched since

We decided to take an impromptu trip to enjoy the beaches in Tottori and were pleasantly surprised at the reasonable rates at this hotel. It is very centrally located and has a Tower parking space and a parking lot across from the hotel. The hotel is clean, compact and modern. It offers breakfast if you decide to include it in your booking. If not you have the main train station beside you, offering some coffee shops and bakeries and Starbucks on the other end. It’s only 15 minutes away from the sand dunes and the sand museum and a 20 minute drive to the popular beaches of Higashihama and Uradome. I recommend this hotel as it is affordable and since you spend most of the day at the beach and out sightseeing it’s good value for money.
