Reviewed By PortoAlegre1971The borgo is a beautiful and quaint renovation, with all the great amenities you would expect from this kind of property. The rooms are clean and spacious (ours even had a kitchen), pool area is quite nice and pretty and it’s location makes it a great spot to enjoy a Beach Club during the day while exploring Lecce in the evening. Another great feature is that everything they serve is fresh… either from their gardens or from local bakeries (the bread is actually warm when they serve). Finally, the staff is super-friendly and Alessandro is an amazing host, always available and helpful with tips and bookings!

A soli 1000 mt da una delle più rinomate baie del Salento, dove un mare cristallino lambisce l’ampia spiaggia di sabbia bianca incastonata tra le splendide scogliere di Torre dell’Orso, si trova Alba Azzurra, con le sue costruzioni tipicamente mediterranee circondate dal verde. È composta da sei palazzine dove sono ubicate tutte le camere e da una zona servizi alla quale si accede separatamente. Alba Azzurra è vicinissima a luoghi di interesse storico, naturalistico e paesaggistico: a soli due chilometri il sito archeologico di Roca Vecchia con la sua torre di avvistamento cinquecentesca e le sue due grotte della Poesia, una delle quali definita una delle 10 piscine naturali più belle al mondo, ma anche a Otranto, Lecce e Castro con la famosa Grotta Zinzulusa. L’entroterra di Torre dell’Orso è ricchissimo di storia, tra dolmen e menhir, ma la località è anche un centro mondano, con la sua movida e i tanti locali che offrono divertimento nelle lunghe notti calde dei mesi estivi, con sagre e pizzica travolgente nelle serate di piazza.

Reviewed By 433ugodI was at Alba Azzurra last week with my family and my in-laws for the second time. The place looked again over the expectation for a 3 star resort. Lots of facilities, a good animation staff and the food looked always tasty with lots of choices for kids and adults. The swimming pools were always cleaned like the rooms and there was lots of entertainment for young people and less young too. We would definitively come back in the future. Ugo

I wouldn't go back
Reviewed By paveitato the question "would you go back there?" the answer, NO ++ sea water, just amazing clean & clear + rooms, very big, with double shower + beer, light lager -- beach distance, is not far at all on foot, but can be a dangerous walk because you have to step along the "statale" road -- train (navetta) schedule to the beach. Only one every half hour when the distance is 3 minutes drive -- food (unfortunately..): - always, lukewarm (and ordinary); - nothing local from the region (a part ONE night) - fruit, shoddy and "cheap" -- restaurant management, embarassing: - I complained with the maitre and he told me to remind the issue to the cooks; - every meal you have to find a table available and often wait to be set it up - if you prefer to eat a little later, difficulties increases - customers can't touch the plates, but they can serve themselves at the drink dispenser (using thier fingers) or touch the bags for salt, pepper, mayo, biscotti, etc or serve themselves olive oil with a spoon from a bowl; - there is not a clear sign or indication of the path to follow between appetisers and desserts ... other details: you have to remind people to keep their distance (or not skip the line/queue); ; the lunch box, if you requires it, embarassing. the beach service: the workers (mostly immigrants guys, here so called "extra-comunitari") are always kind, smiling and available. We can't say the same for their fussy, nitpicking "boss". beach plays all day long, music as loud as a rave party

Terrible stay
Reviewed By Marcy SThis place is like camping, basically parents sat by bar and drank and kids running around like crazy with nothing to do, pools open odd hours and close down in afternoon for a few hours. Food terrible, waitress spilled water all over me, tv was broken, beds were all like cots. Not worth the money.

The predominant color of rooms and bathrooms is blue, reminiscent of the color of the sea and the sky, relax and metaphors of infinity. Our watchwords? Kindness and professionalism. Excellent Stay with Wonderful Hosts
Reviewed By Paul LMy family and I recently stayed at B&B Il Villino, for the last leg of a larger Italy trip. The property is in an excellent location, a very short walk to the beach and all the restaurants and shops of Torre dell'Orso. It is also close to the Grotta della poesia....essentially right up the road. The property and the rooms were clean and tastefully decorated with everything we needed. Fabrizio added a bed to our room so that our family of four could be in one room, and it was still comfortable. The terrace areas are large, comfortable and beautifully decorated with flowers. Best of all, the hosts are absolutely wonderful. Fabrizio and his family are on-site and did whatever they could to ensure that we had a great stay. This included helping us with beach chairs and an umbrella, restaurant recommendations/reservations, and other advice. Fabrizio speaks very good english. Breakfast each day was wonderful, with an ample selection of items including fruit, cereal, cappuccini, delicious cornetti from the local pasticceria and amazing figs from the family's farm. We were so happy that we came to Torre dell'Orso and stayed with Fabrizio and his family. It was a wonderful experience for all of us.

Excellent Stay at Mare Live
Reviewed By NorthStar233040Our family stayed at Mare Live in July and we had an excellent stay. The little villas are clean, comfortable, modern and spacious. Location is also excellent, as it is a few minutes away from the stunning Torre Sant'Andrea and also beautiful Torre dell'Orso beach. We had a few issues with electricity and AC switching off a few times, but the staff were extremely helpful and solved the problem within minutes. Excellent place!

Reviewed By Mead186We were personally escorted to the apartments and then taken and personally introduced to the breakfast bar and owner. These are lovely newly built apartments and we found them excellent; clean spacious and very well equipped. The room includes a television and fridge which contained a bottle of water carden of juice and Prosecco a lovely touch, there is air conditioning and all have balcony or outside space. Good bathrooms with wonderful strong showers there is also a hairdryer and good bathroom lighting. We also had free wifi service. They are located a short walk from the fabulous Dentoni beach front bar where you go for the traditional Italian breakfast. Excellent service and good choice of the breakfast pastries, cakes and ice cream and the best coffee of our entire trip. Would highly recommend this as a great place to stay.

tired apartment
Reviewed By ANDYJ9750We had a ground floor apartment with 2 double bedrooms & a large dining / lounge area with a patio to both front & rear, the apartment was comfortable & adequate for our needs but it would seem in need of a certain amount of renovation & care, the kitchen was very limited for anyone wishing to attempt to cook & the bathroom was, well to say the least, tired with the basin bearing a huge crack & in need of replacing. All in all, we had a pleasant stay here, but we have had much better. The apartments are a good 30 minute walk from the main part of the resort centre
