We were visiting this beautiful part of Italy to compete in the European championship of clay target shooting. So as competitors, we knew our rest would need to be uninterrupted and stress free. We checked the reviews of this hotel on TripAdvisor and found them to be in favour. Unfortunately this was not our experience at all. We did not had one night without disturbance at Hotel Ristorante Dante, and on all but one of them it is due to someone (either the manager or his father) shutting off the air conditioning at night, after we have gone to bed. This means we wake up during the night, swimming in our own sweat! It’s uncomfortable and completely unnecessary. We booked a hotel with air conditioning specifically when looking at other hotels locally. This hotel looked best, and so we agreed to pay the cost of the rooms when booking. We approached the manager about this issue after the first night, and the air conditioning stayed on for one night. However this was the only night he was covering the night shift, and on the other nights of our stay, the owners father was covering the shift. He insisted on shutting the AC off after midnight every night. We were forced to get up at 2am and leave our room to switch it back on at the main switchboard down the hallway! As we are paying guests, we do not expect someone else to dictate when we may or may not sleep soundly!!!! To further add insult to injury, the doors into the main hallway all had large gaps around them, so provided little or no sound reduction from the noise of other guests. On our first night the gentleman staying opposite snored loudly enough to wake not only us, but judging by the shouting down the corridor through most of the night, in various languages, most of the other guests too! Comically on the second night the noise changed to the couple one room down, very loudly “expressing their physical attraction” shall we say. This albeit rather funny at the time, resulted in another night of disturbed sleep. We brought these issues up with the staff at breakfast, who were too scared to raise the issue with the manager and owner for us (our Italian is limited, and the staffs English was very good). They refused to report the issue for fear of their volatile boss sacking them on the spot. On our third night, the lock in our hotel room door broke, and we were not able to get in. We reported this to the manager who came to try his master key, which also did not work. He proceeded to aggressively swing from the handle, slamming it up and down in an effort to get the door open. At one point we thought he was going to kick the door down as an access method, but eventually he freed the damaged lock. I should mention that this was at around midnight, so you can imagine how many other guests came to voice their displeasure at the amount of noise he was making. We repeatedly used google translate to explain the issues to the hotel manager & owner, but they didn’t take on board our pleas. Always answering “Ok” with a shrug of not caring. Eventually I contacted an Italian friend of mine and asked her to translate a few paragraphs of our reasoning, which she was kind enough to do very promptly. I handed the message explaining our frustration to the manager who then (on the last night), finally agreed an extra loud “OK”. Thankfully the AC remained on for that night and we could sleep! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay, nor anyone who expects the hotelier to be pleasant or friendly. I would like to note that the restaurant/breakfast staff & cleaners were excellent, and clearly keep the hotel in business single handily with their friendly manner. Such a shame the facilities and owners/manager do not reflect this.

The 17th century building of Le Tre Vaselle Resort rises within the medieval walls of Torgiano, a peaceful village between Perugia and Assisi, set in the heart of the Umbrian countryside. Its warm hospitality, elegant decor and exquisite cuisine are reminiscent of the aristocratic country houses of yore, and offer an ideal atmosphere for those wishing to savour all the nuances of travelling.
Traveling during the COVID-19 crisis has many negative sides, but staying at the Le Tre Vaselle makes you relax for a moment. Although the hotel did not have many guests at the time of the visit, the calmness and comfort the hotel offers is wonderful. The hotel as mentioned was mainly empty, and that did definitely not stop the staff from making your stay a one of a kind. Already on arrival, we were surprised with a free upgrade to a junior suite! The reception staff followed all the corona precautions and rules, allowing for a safe stay. Rooms were cleaned almost always while you were at breakfast (sometimes a bit later but that was no issue of course) and were always spotless. All the staff were incredibly friendly and would do anything you ask. The very few issues which occurred during my stay were always immediately solved by the staff. Breakfast goes by a list which you fill in the night before, which causes a quite random order of the food being served during breakfast. You cannot choose what you want first. However, when mentioning this, the following morning, most (non-fresh) items were already placed on the table! Also, the wifi caused some problems with connecting, especially at the pool, after asking a few times, the gentleman from reception went to fix it himself, with success. To conclude, Le Tre Vaselle is a wonderful hotel and goes above and beyond to make sure that your stay during these insecure times is as pleasant as possible.

There is a wide and bright lobby with fireside, a pool sourrounded by a vast garden from which it is possible to see the panrama of vinegards, green hills of Perugia, Assisi asnd other centres artistic, historical and cultural interest. Gust a few steps, from the hotel is the restaurant Siro, where it is possible to taste the typical food of umbria’s cooking.
A very pleasant stop on our cycle tour of Umbria . Reception and bar quirky with many varied ornaments and bric-a-brac. Large selection of Orchids in breakfast room which is light and has a large selection of cakes which the Italians love for breakfast . Half board ( 2 dishes from antepasta, primi ,secundo) then desert is at the very good local restaurant Siro . Our room was a bit on the small side but had a lovely view over the valley . It’s just a small walk to the centre and museum of wine .

Nestled high in the luxurious Umbrian hills sits the sprawling La Montagnola estate which is home to olive groves, an ancient Italian chapel, a fully operational olive oil mill, a lavish 18th century villa and so much more. The 600 acre estate offers a charming blend of medieval Italian history and luxury creating the perfect destination for both solo travelers, as well as groups, looking for a unique opportunity to experience the gentle magic of central Italy. The estate consists of an olive oil mill, three completely renovated farmhouses and a main villa. The main villa, now residence of the Iraci Borgia family, takes great pride in the original 13th century private chapel called the "Oratorio Pubblico della Madonna Immacolata" which is open to visitors. Near the villa are three completely restored farmhouses for guests.

We stayed here for 2 nights & loved it. The rooms are really clean & the staff super friendly. We didn’t have a car but thankfully there were bikes which we were able to use to get to Torgiano (10 min cycle). Lovely fresh breakfast the next morning & Gabriella was so helpful & kind. We would definitely recommend staying here & hopefully we will be back!

This is a great spot in the country side. Only 20 mins to Assisi and Perugia. And with a view over The Valley, wine fields and hamlets on the hill tops. Rooms are well functioning, the pool of great size and depth. The breakfast very good and tasty with cuts, cheese, fruits, cakes, yoghurt....a great start of the day. Lorenzo and his mother are very friendly and helpful. A place to go back to.
