A countryside jewel "LA SALA" opens up to tourism with a distinguished Historical House from the 19th century that features a Boutique Hotel, a Restaurant and a Warehouse of Handicrafts, surrounded by peaceful landscapes, aromas, flavors, history and culture. Finca La Sala dates from 1850, it has a neoclassical style and was built with adobe. Make a stop on your way and taste our wines

We were doing a road trip around Tucumán and Catamarca and stayed here for a night on our way up to the San Francisco Pass. We hadn’t intended to return but we’d enjoyed being here so much we decided to come back for a couple more nights. Ivan is a terrific host - he really makes you feel at home. The accomodation is simple, and it’s lovely that you can sit on the porch with a glass of wine in the evening and watch the parrots fly overhead. We enjoyed cooking a great asado one lunchtime (we’re lucky to have an Argentine son in law) in the bbq area. We enjoyed the home made bread and local jams and raisins for breakfast, and bought some of his delicious olive oil. And the asparagus was such a treat! One night Ivan took us into a nearby canyon to watch the stars and that was a fun experience. With the benefits of hindsight, we’d have stayed longer and explored the area around Tinogasta a bit more. Staying here was one of the highlights of our two week road trip - thanks Ivan!

Sante Hostel is a family- type and friends, the rooms are fully equipped with all amenities to our guests , besides the common spaces are designed to inter act with other travelers . we have large kitchen, kincho , patio and garage. also we offer guide service and excursions in 4 x 4 vehicles .
This hostel is only average. The positives points are : cheap price, access to a refrigerator and all items in the kitchen, can make your laundry (even if the washer is very busy) for free, free parking on street and the neighborhood is quiet. The room and the public area are not very clean.. The breakfast is very the minimum (hot water, bread and "dulce de leche"), at least with a refrigerator available you can bring your foods and brevages. During our stay, I think they doing some renovation to the hotel, if yes, maybe newer room will be better.

This is the type of place to go and truly get away from it all. It is a long drive to get here. The hotel is nestled in the middle of an olive farm and faces a beautiful mountain landscape. For us the pool was refreshing because it was November and very hot. The staff was attentive to all our needs. Breakfast was homemade pastries and bread with fresh juice and coffee. We paid for dinners each evening as there is no other choices close by. The meals were substantial. All home cooked and flavorful. You will not go away hungry. My wife and I spent 3 days doing a lot of reading, some swimming, bird watching ( a bunch of parakeets live in the trees) and we made a drive partly up San Francisco pass toward Chile. That was amazing. If you are looking for some real down time you will get it at Las Pircas.
