Reviewed By dttx_84I recently completed my stay at Novotel Suwon from the 13th-16th May 2022 as part of my holiday vacation with my wife in Korea. For tourists visiting Suwon do note the KTX or express trains from Incheon Airport have been closed. Same can be.said of the direct buses to the Suwon Station. They were non-existent in current terms. So reluctantly we took a deluxe black taxi all the way from Incheon Airport to Novotel Suwon which costs us over $100. I believe the hotel could have been more updated in their communications to visitors ie in their website on the means of transport route to guide us travellers. On the first day upon check in we visited and hiked around the Suwon Fortress walls. When we returned to the hotel around late afternoon, my wife called the guest concierge to request for 2 additional bottles of water since we were thirsty. We were quite surprised when the concierge told her that we were only allocated 2 complimentary bottles per day as part of hotel policy. And she would get housekeeping to send us 4 bottles to last us the next two days( we were on a 3 night stay). So we went to the lotte mall nearby to buy ourselves a large bottle of water. Same puzzling decision can be said of the dental kit. Most international hotels provided for free but for the dental kits were placed at the basket in the mini bar. The concierge over the phone also informed that that it was chargeable . So we bought ours at the convenience store instead. I found the bed a tad firm for my liking( but this is subjective to personal preference). The hotel also used large pump bottles for its shower, shampoo gels. While i understand that there is environmental benefit to this but maybe smaller bottles might be preferred for guests during covid times? In terms of location it is truly central. You have the express and KTX trains, metro and bus terminals just beside. AK shopping mall is directly linked through the 2nd floor of the hotel while Lotte shopping Mall is just a short walk across the bus terminal. Location is definitely a big plus point. Overall I would still come back to Novotel Suwon in future for its convenient location and the rooms were large and clean. I do hope that the hotel can look into the earlier points mentioned. Hotel facilities: Coin laundry and gym Hotel room: New furnishing and very clean. comes with toiletries (Nirvae), hair dryer and room slippers. Adapters are universal and strategically located. Breakfast : standard international breakfast that consists of Korean, Western and Asian food.

Reviewed By Nicole KSurely I can say that they offer reasonable rates for the business guests! I recently visited Suwon for business trip by myself. Luckily I got a good room with reasonable price even though I contacted them a few hours before got there. Yeah, they were definitely ready for business guests. They took me to my office in the morning so that I didn't need to waste my time! What I mostly was impressed is the menu in the restaurant. The pork cutlet is highly recommended It was very delicious and came with a soup & a coffee! Thanks for nice services. I would love to visit this hotel again.

Great value for money, clean and tidy in a good location for all your shopping or commuting requirements. Just two blocks from the malls and train and bus station. The people who run this establishment speak fluent english and just couldn't be more helpful. Highly recommended.

Reviewed By jh_patek인계동 유흥거리 내 위치해있는데 외각쪽이어서 소음이 덜했음. 이그제크티브 룸인가 묵었는데 조용하고 지어진지 얼마 안된 새 호텔이라 컨디션 좋았음. 조식은 컨디션이 너무 안좋아 예약하고도 이용못함... 차를 갖고 갔는데 이근처 주차가 힘든데 주차타워에 발렛까지 해주심. 굳 주변에 먹을데도 많고 삼성전자 사업장 셔틀도 운영하고 있어 추천할만함.

Clean Hotel w/ Very Friendly Staff
Reviewed By David BThe hotel is located about 10 mins away from Suwon Express Bus Terminal and isn't too far away from the Paldalmun Gate section of Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon. The hotel is surrounded by many restaurants, bars, and even nightclubs. If this isn't your thing, Suwon Station (and AK Plaza) isn't too far away. When I arrived on May 12, 2017, the hotel was undergoing renovations. Despite this, the hotel was still clean, even if there was a slight smell of paint in the air. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and more than willing to help make our stay as enjoyable as possible. I stayed in the Deluxe Double Room and it was very comfortable. Additionally, the A/C worked GREAT! I've visited various places in Seoul, Suwon, Cheonan, Pyeongtaek, Incheon, Jeonju, and Chinhae and, for the price, this was one of the nicer hotels I've stayed at. Additionally, the included breakfast was really good (although, only served from 07:00-09:00). The staff even offered to make eggs-to-order. I highly recommend this hotel and will be more than willing to stay here again if I'm staying overnight in Suwon.

Excellent value for money

Great facilities and helpful friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in this area.

Uncomfortable
Reviewed By Deb QBed and pillows are rock hard. Sheets are stiff and scratchy. Plastic mattress cover is both noisy and hot. Lighting in bathroom is inadequate for applying makeup. There is no full length mirror. Lack of walls around bathroom makes for problems with both noise from the auto flushing toilet and odor in the bedroom. The sliding door can cover only the shower or the toilet, which lets toilet odors or shower humidity and heat into the bedroom. No dresser or chest of drawers and no closet for hanging clothes. Have a small rack for hanging 3 items that is too short- my pants drag on floor. No place to set suitcase except on floor. In Dec 2017, room is 26C when I checked in. Too hot! Changed temperature set point to 20C but can’t cool room down. Left window open and can’t cool room down below 22C. Breakfast was okay but not as good as a standard US hotel breakfast, which is usually included in room rate when they charge $75 a night. Breakfast room was freezing cold and food got cold quickly. Positive comments: Room and hotel were clean. Staff was friendly and could communicate in English. Bathtub in room was a treat- large and comfortable.
