Personally not great experience
Reviewed By 673rickdwe booked and arrived late. Told not crowded but sent on a long walk up and down and up and down stairs to room. Be prepared if you have significant luggage. Then the phone rang once an hour for four hours during our short overnight stay. The front desk said it was an internal call but they couldn’t do anything. We didn’t want to unplug phone in case of emergency but eventually did. Room could use quite a bit of updating to get to rustic. The complimentary baked goods in the morning were very good. So that was very good :).

Breakfast was included- nothing to write home about but did the trick. Just one lift made it a little bit challenging to get up/down from room in a hurry. And the other issue I had was with the noisy aircon unit in the room. Other than this, the hotel was excellent value to be near Treehouse to enjoy one of the world’s best breweries. There are food options for delivery nearby (we chose McDs to soak up the beer) and there’s a Panera in the hotel car park.

The charm of Sturbridge can be enjoyed through all four seasons. We are located in Central Massachusetts and can be reached easily from Boston, Springfield and Hartford, Massachusetts. Whether traveling to Massachusetts on business or pleasure, our Hampton Inn guests enjoy room amenities which include coffeemaker, hair dryer, iron and board, 25'' TV with cable and HBO, two-line speaker phone in, and complimentary high-speed internet access, also in the lobby and breakfast area. All of our King rooms have a micro-fridge and 4 King rooms are available with whirlpool tubs. Sturbridge hotel guests can enjoy our complimentary On the House breakfast buffet daily with cold and hot items. And after a long, busy day, our Hampton Inn guests can relax in our indoor heated pool and hot tub.

Reviewed By RGC1218If advertised amenities like the pool or breakfast are important to you, better call before your arrival because they WILL NOT TELL YOU, even when you check in, that they are not available! The pool and hot tub were out of commission. One staffer said it was due to "tile work." Why would you do that on a holiday weekend? The next day, the manager said they were expecting a Health Department inspection and wanted to keep everything in order for that. Excuse me? The filters in the A/C were plugged with dust, not good if you have allergies, the manager did change them as soon as I found them but is that MY job? Exterior doors were propped open, compromising security. When I pointed it out, they closed them, but the next morning they were propped open again. They also hit my credit card for over $73 "in case of incidentals". This is not posted anywhere, was in direct conflict with the policy written on the receipt, and this charge DOES NOT APPEAR on my receipt. The manager assures me the charge will be removed in "two or three days". But it should not be there to begin with, and they can easily deny it even exists. The room and breakfast were very good but all told, we would have been better off at the Super 8 across the street!

We are Choice members, and we really appreciated our Therapy Dog not being charged a fee (we stay at Choice hotels only if that is so).

Reviewed By 404danikavStayed 2 nights for the Brimfield show- $250.+ Per night!! And This had to have been the worst experience at a hotel I’ve ever had! All three restaurants were closed, the pool was also closed AND the elevator was broken - which sucked because I was on the third floor with bags! Front desk personnel were miserable and hiding in the back. Never again.

Wow!!! What a surprise!
Reviewed By kbwashingtondcThis is an older “motor inn” built in the late 1960s-early 1970s but recently updated and renovated. All the other motels and hotels started at $140.00 tonight and up to $250.00…….. this listed at $75.00. Often, in the past these “no-tell motel” looking places had become run-down. This one as well in the 1980-1990s when I lived in the area. Since being taken over by new owners, they have sunk very significant money into the place and it shows. Yes, it is a road-side motor inn like you see in the old movies but wow… what a deal (again at $75.00). To note in my attached photos: new tight fitting two paned windows, new bath and fixtures…. Everything super clean and not worn-out…. No mold and mildew. The other hotels in the area that I stay (I am in the area now several times each year) can not boast any of that. This is NOT the Ritz….. it is just a super clean, well cared-for vintage “motor inn”….. but given the super low price, and the new conditions and cleanliness of the room…..it is a heck of a cool place to stay (especially if you like cool vintage and are okay with no room service and such) I think those 50 and older will get a kick out of staying in a motor inn like when they were younger….. young kids today might not appreciate places like this ….(where’s the Starbucks and latte bar in the lobby?….. nope aint got that!)

Located on Cedar Lake in the heart of historic Sturbridge. Approx. 300 yards from the entrance to Old Sturbridge Village. Many rooms have a lake view. Every morning we offer a complimentary SuperStart continental breakfast for all guests. Free Wi-Fi/hi-speed internet in all rooms. We do have Whirlpool Suites and deluxe rooms to stretch out and relax in. We take great pride in our friendly and helpful staff. Sturbridge Host Conference Center is directly behind us. Restaurants next door and quick eats in walking distance. Antique, local gift shops and many other restaurants are very close as well as a repertory theater. We are pet friendly and offer early check in when possible, both with a fee, please call for details.

Great place to stay
Reviewed By tammywO133YHStayed for 2 nights and all the staff wore PPE. The staff was great. Very polite. The rooms were nice and clean. My kids enjoyed the pool. The only so so thing was that there was only allowed to be 4 people in the pool at a time because of covid but we understood.
