Brand new luxury boutique hotel in downtown Stillwater. Gorgeous custom rooms, great onsite amenities including Matchstick Restaurant & Spirits featuring rare and fine whiskeys and tapas-style dishes prepared over a wood-fire grill, Spa810, a full-service med-spa, roof-top outdoor hot tub open year-around, and plenty of covered parking that is complimentary to our guests.
This hotel was simply amazing. Very unique experience and the room was adorable. We got the standard king room. The bed was very comfortable and they had multiple pillows to pick from to make you the most comfortable. The shower was great, hot water, pressure was good, and it was very unique. The room was very clean and I honestly have no complaints about it. It was worth the money in my opinion. The rooftop hot tub was HOT but felt so good! The variety of seating areas with fire pits were great as well. 10/10 recommend!

This is one of the most disgusting hotels I’ve ever seen! My husband and I went for a weekend to Stillwater and I’ve been at grandstays and always found them a nice middle of the road place. This was absolutely disgusting. Right when we walked in we were accosted by a local taxi guy who talked our ear off about how successful he is and if we wanted a ride to downtown give him a call (uber is cheaper). The person who we discovered later was the owner or manager was sitting outside reading a book (you'll see why this is important later). Check in was fine but there was no one there and the nice woman at the front desk was afraid her manager was going to come in and charge us for checking in early, really?? We got to our room a one bedroom king suite on the 1st floor and it was damp and dank, it smelled. We dropped our stuff and noticed the air conditioner was filthy and loud. Once we left out the back door there was a huge open garbage bag full of trash next to the door, open (the manager couldn't take it out?). Also the view of our room was of a dirty decerped shed, awesome! We left to grab a quick lunch and decided we could NOT stay there, my husband gathered our things, snapped some photos and checked out. I called the manager to ask for a refund and to let them know we checked out and would not be staying there. He said he would call me back (he didn't, Abdul is his name). I actually booked through hotwire (thank god) they completely refunded me even though Abdul only wanted to credit me for one night. DO NOT STAY HERE! The good reviews are from previous owners/management after asking around town. This place is disgusting with horrible owners, I can't believe Grandstay let's them use their name. Please see photos, bugs in the room, pubic hair on the toliet, trash by the door (it was there for at least 2 hours), and a sweet view of a decaying shed.

Close to the beautiful St. Croix River, the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Stillwater, MN places you in a charming suburb near the big-city attractions in St. Paul and Minneapolis. You'll love Stillwater's historic downtown, which is filled with farmers markets, antique malls, and cafes along the river. Our hotel is also minutes from Aamodt's Apple Farm, where you can sample award-winning wines, shop for unique gifts, and of course, pick your own apples. After a scuba adventure at Square Lake Park, return to the comfort of our rooms and suites, which feature free Wi-Fi. You can let your kids play in the heated indoor pool while you relax in the hot tub. Our free, hot breakfast-which includes grab-and-go options like hot sandwiches-energizes you for the day, and our 24-hour business center helps you with printing tickets or polishing a meeting presentation.
A very clean and quiet hotel. It was right off the highway, but still very restful. Sona was great at check-in. They have a hot Breakfast available. Coffee was available all day....a nice coffee machine that made coffee to order. My room was clean. I would stay again

Historic Water Street Inn in the heart of Downtown Stillwater. All guestrooms with double whirlpools, most with fireplaces and balconies overlooking the River. Restaurant with indoor & outdoor seating, Irish Pub overlooking the river, meeting, banquet and wedding facilities for 2 to 300 people. Stillwater’s only Inn on the River.
The carpets do not match the drapes. As in the outside of the building looks historic and nice, but inside it's not the same. The smell of the rooms are rancid. If you like the smell of wet dog and grandma's sowing room you will love this hotel. Heads up, there's grandma's worthers originals under the bed and suck and saves. Beware of your voice after wheel of fortune is over because that was grandpas bed time next door. We had a noise complaint from the neighbors next door because were talking after 7:30. We couldn't get the smell and taste out of our mouths of moth balls . I don't recommend this place for couples under 60 years old.

Imbued with charm, history and intrigue, Lora pairs the Great North’s tradition of gracious hospitality with a past rich in folklore and fable. Located in the heart of this idyllic town just 30 minutes outside the Twin Cities on the banks of the St. Croix River, Lora is situated for tapping into Minnesota’s outdoor splendor, the region’s history and small-town charm. Housed inside a former brewery originally built in 1886, Lora will embrace, reveal, and make accessible to the public the building’s stone masonry, carriage way and the caves carved deep into the bluffs, offering a truly exceptional hotel experience that will capture the imagination of residents across the Midwest as well as travelers to the region. In keeping with Provenance Hotels’ commitment to integrating art into the hotel experience, the fables and folklore of the region’s indigenous and immigrant people will be re-imagined through contemporary works of art in Lora’s guestrooms and hallways.
We were so lucky to find this hotel after having a horrible experience at the Grandstay in Stillwater. This is located right on the edge of downtown Stillwater, walking distance from everything. It's in a beautiful old building and they've maintained a lot of the character ( I would've loved to learn more about the history). We had a king room, very nice and had a lot of great little touches which I appreciated, including robes, Aveda toiletries, chairs with foot rests so you don't have to sit on the bed to watch TV, great decor. They have a wonderful restaurant and Bar, Feller which is gorgous and had amazing food they also have an amazing coffee shop, Made which had great pastries, coffee and breakfast sandwiches. It was also VERY quiet I couldn't hear anyone in the rooms next to us or in the hallway which was nice. Highly recommended, amazing hotel!

My apologies to the managers of the Asteria Inn, Stillwater, due to a review that was meant for The Best Value Inn, Stillwater! Any other negative review was supposed to be directed at that awful place! The Asteria Inn and Suites is a comfortable, affordable, well cared for hotel. The managers are very helpful, and I've felt they are keeping a good eye on the place. It's not often I feel that my safety is a priority to a hotel I've stayed at, but I feel like it was looked after while I've been here. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, if the opportunity should arise. Thank you to the hotel managers for being kind, courteous, and respectful! My hat goes off to you! ?

Welcome to the Lowell Inn and Restaurant and Banquet Center...where historic charm blends with contemporary elegance. Established in 1927, the Lowell Inn offers fine dining for business or pleasure and thirty-five newly restored rooms in beautiful downtown Stillwater, Minnesota. We are uniquely qualified to make your experience with us perfect, be that an intimate family celebration, a wedding, a groom's dinner or an anniversary. Horrible experience. I have stayed at many hotels over the years here and in Europe (where many are old and spartan) but new years at the Lowell Inn was by far the worst. Paid $275 for a very lousy room. First there was no heat. Walked into a room with no heat (it was zero degrees outside) and so I turned on the heat. 2 hours later I went to put on a tux and it was still cold. We called the front desk and he brought up auxiliary heat. By the time we got back from the dance after midnight the temp was OK but the bathroom room was still cold. I found a baseboard heater with a tiny knob so I turned it and the heater went on. By the time we left in the morning the bathroom was finally close to warm. Then I tried to get to the ballroom through the lobby and no elevator. I just got a new hip so it was not a pleasant walk. A step up to get into the bathroom is not good at night. The end of the bed frame sticks out far beyond the bed and both my wife and I stubbed our foot on the frame. Who gives a darn if it is ornate if it is non functional. Also the space between the bed frame and the furniture on my side of the bed is about 12". Hard to believe that that isn't a code violation. I put a waste basket by my bed and a towel by my wife's so we wouldn't jamb our feet again. I couldn't afford to stub my foot in the middle of the night and dislodge my new hip. Initially we couldn't even pull the closet open. Had to have someone from the front desk show us it wasn't locked. Faucet in the bathroom should have been replaced 5 years ago. Could barely pull it on. Not sure there was even hot water as we never used it that long. Then to top it off we decided to have breakfast there after debating some. The eggs benedict had undercooked English muffin (soggy) and way overcooked eggs (hard as rock). I normally don't do the trip advisor thing but I emailed Lowell Inn after they sent me a "tell us how you liked your stay" email and heard nothing for 9 days. That is when I decided to figure out how to go on trip advisor.

First time to Stillwater didn't know where anything was and arrived in the dark. Found area with hotels. Pulled over to check prices on line and booked it here. Smaller lobby and breakfast area (when opened) but both nice well kept. VERY surprised when I saw my room, updated modern new furnishings. Nice new tiles in bathroom. Pool area was well kept and good to use, relaxing. Only bad things very bright lights on building and overflowing trashcan by front door. Glad I didn't let those items keep me from booking.
