2 Week Stay at a Traditional Austrian Hotel
Reviewed By BarryT191282I stayed at the Landhotel & Gasthof St. Florian for 2 weeks from end of Jan to beginning of Feb 2020 It’s a clean and homely hotel with friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them to help me. The restaurant had a good selection of food, with my favourites being the Zander (fish) and Goulash. Every meal I had was well cooked and delivered promptly. The room rate was very reasonable, which also included a traditional style Austrian breakfast, including cold cut meats, cheeses, scrambled & boiled eggs and streaky bacon. Location of the hotel was also good, with the small and quaint local town (Scharding) being only a 20 minute walk away. Special shoutout for Catalina who made sure I had enough of everything for my breakfast each day. Extra special shoutout for Dani who took care of reception and was kind enough to accompany me to the sausage shop right across the road from the hotel to make sure I got a good selection of sausages to bring home for my family to try. Looking forward to visiting the Landhotel again at some point in the future.

Reviewed By 648ulrichwWir sind sehr herzlich empfangen worden. Das Zimmer war perfekt eingerichtet. Mit Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher, Tassen, diverse Kaffeesorten usw. Das Badezimmer auf neuestem Stand, alles sauber. Sehr nett war auch die kleine Terrasse, die zum Zimmer dazugehört. In der Nacht war ein im Ort ein Fest, von dem wir aber durch die perfekte Schallisolierung nichts gehört haben. Lage: 3 Minuten vom Hauptplatz entfernt (sehr gute Konditorei mit tollem Frühstück), 1 Minute unterhalb vom Stift.

Reviewed By RennradlerEtwas abseits vom allgemeinen Rummel liegt diese Gaststätte. Ein Gastgarten unter schattigen Bäumen lädt zum Verweilen ein. Die Speisen sind ausgezeichnet (Linzer Schnitzel) und preiswert. Die Bedienung ist rasch und freundlich.

Worst "hotel" I've ever been to. Expensive crap
Reviewed By e3expNever book this place! It's awful, unfriendly staff, the room and the furnitures are from the 70's, even the towels! There was no heating in the bathroom, the water didn't go down in the sinker, the beds were crap. Room was dirty. It took 3 hours to have 20 degrees in the room, very old radiators as well. In the elevator smelled a mix of cigarette smoke and kitchen smell. The wifi in the hotel is not working, my phone in the room connected to the free wifi on the square on the opposite side of the street. Ridiculous. And they lied about the price as it was personally booked by a relative and they confirmed a price of 150 eur for 2 nights, but when we paid, they asked 150 eur for 1 nights for this crap room which is not worth a penny! And they didn't tell us that breakfast is included in the price, they were in silence! Also, they lied that the hotel is full, no other room, but there was no one in the hotel, restaurant was also empty. This place is a disgrace for the city of St. Florian! If you want to avoid a nightmare "hotel", then never go to this place!
