Reviewed By petcua2018Unfortunately the quality doesn’t explain why the prices are so high and this includes everything. The bathroom shower has mold in it. The beed are super hard and if you are “lucky” to sleep near a family with young kids good luck in sleeping. You can hear everything. The restaurant is bad. The food is horrible. Plus, they don’t make it fresh. All three of your dishes come out of the microwave! And yes, you can tell the difference ! My plate was so hot that the waitress couldn’t touch it. That’s a pity because the prices don’t match the quality. Also, the food tasted bad. The breakfast is another disappointment. The buffet is sad looking and not a lot to choose from. Also the cold cuts are broth to you at the table. And for some reason(if it is to cut costs, is not really smart) they bring one slice from each of the cold cuts they have. The portions are not enough for one person, keep in mind that from that plate someone might only want one type ok cheese or just salmon or just one type of salami. Just let people choose and you will also save some money. The corona enforcement: almost none. Here is mostly the guests fault because they don’t care but in the other hand the team of the hotel, they don’t enforce anything either. The staff: is a so and so mix. Moat of they are heating their jobs and you can see that in their attitude but is a common thing in customer service. Some are nice to you and some are acting like you were the reason they failed in life. The facilities: the sauna and the pool(smaller than in the pictures) were nice. They are closing at 10:30pm but they might start wrapping things up at 8:30pm and feel like you should leave by steering at you constantly.

Reviewed By willbb1977A hotel recommended to me. I am very grateful to the recommender. This place is beautiful. The room so well appointed and comfortable. The welcome very warm. The restaurant excellent. Very positive. So that it is not thought I work for the hotel... no tea and coffee facilities in the room... car park too small, means that a little bad parking by others makes it impossible to park a regular car. However, would love to come back with the family.

Great for travelling through Germany, and very supportive staff
Reviewed By RihaalaMy wife, our 2-year-old daughter, and I was going through Europe. Chose to stay here for a night, and we had a good experience with quite supportive staff. Most was average, but I have to say that the noise from the motorway could not be detected in the room. Great plus. The surroundings look nice, and the restaurant rustique, but I cannot comment on the food.

Our hotel is located in the Spreewald and is a family-run house with typical regional Cuisine. We are centrally located, they reach all places of the Spreewald and the City of Cottbus in no time.
Both the staff and the cucumbers were way too sour
Reviewed By Anders BAfter many visits to the area we tried to stay away from the restaurants in the dense tourist areas where bad pizza and pasta are the most common dishes. We did a quick search and found this restaurant. When we entered it took a while until someone bothered to help us. Not a welcome or anything just a grim face as we were a problem to place. After we were seated the staff totally ignored us again for a long time. As starters we ordered marinated cucumber in four ways and a quick marinated cucumber. When the starters arrived I thought it was for a large company next to us. No it was for us. It was way too much. Most of the cucumbers in four different ways tasted the same. It didn’t help that the different cucumbers were placed randomly on the serving plate. We also hard to identify the seasoning since the cucumbers were very sour. Much more than other marinated cucumbers we have tasted on other trips to the Spreewald area during the last 20-25 years. After a while the acidity became too much so we had to ask for some dark bread to at least neutralize some of the acidity. They could have served us less cucumbers and instead some dark bread and fat as some other restaurants do. The main beef rolls were not bad but not very much to remember either. What we remember most from this restaurant was that the staff most of the time ignored us completely. When leaving we passed two of the staff that looked at us in silence. They were, I guess, happy to see us leave. The other guests were large and more profitable companies so why bother with a table of only two guests. The visit ended the same way it started so at least the staff behaved consistently.

The Kräutermühlenhof is located right next to Burg's beautiful gardens in the heart of the Spreewald. Our bed & breakfast has 15 double rooms situated in a quiet and green location. All rooms are set up in a country house style and equipped with a toilet, shower, TV & WLAN. Cars and bikes can be parked nearby. Our staff speaks English, German and Polish. Our neighbouring restaurant Zur Kräutermühle has a cosy beer garden and offers country house style cuisine throughout the whole day. While breakfast will already be included in your room fare, you can also add dinner to your room booking. We look forward to hosting you!

Reviewed By Netti78Had dinner here and while the menu looked inviting, the food didn't deliver and prices were rather high. There was a hair in one of our main dishes and while they offered to re-make the dish, we were now not able to eat our meal together. No other compensation was offered. The service felt rushed as they seemed more concerned with the approaching rain and breaking down the patio rather than customer service.

Reviewed By HanaDufkovaWe have choosen this hotel for one night on our way to tropical islands and Berlín and we were very surprised by the accommodation and also services. I can recommend mainly for families with children, you can use trampoline, swing, slide, Sandpit and see rabbits. Our room was spacy, clean and modern, newly equipped with a nice terrace. We were very satisfied and highly recommend to everybody.

Reviewed By Frieda AVilla Fortuna is the most amazing resort for a family vacation, especially if you wish to have a taste of both relaxing and lively atmosphere. This villa is located only a few min walk from the train station, from which the train leaves to Berlin every half hour. So, one can arrive at Berlin within the hour. Also, you can get to The Tropical Islands station in 7 min (a special bus goes from the station to the entrance of the park every few min). The whole place is surrounded by the most beautiful garden one could imagine, full of trees, plants, fruit and flowers. Tables, chairs and benches are placed around the garden so you can deside to sit under a tree or under the sun. It also has a pond in which ducks swim and enjoy the peace and quiet. There is a trampoline, ping-pong kit, BBQ stand, a sand box. And it's all for you and your family. The house itself is simply huge. at least 3 bedrooms with double sized beds, a living room with cable TV, two bathrooms and toilets (hair dryers, towels and hand soap included) and a fully equipped kitchen. The whole complex has a beautiful interior design, of both modern and antique styles. And most important - it's perfectly clean, absolutely spotless. The landlord is most hospitable and very friendly. he offers his guests anything that would make them feel at home. Right behind the villa there is a shopping center with REWE supermarket and other stores and a small cafe. A few minutes walk away from the villa you can get to the center of town, where you will find cafes, a movie theater, and quite a few restaurants and stores. in sum, if you plan your family vacation in Germany, Pansion Villa Fortuna is the perfect choice. If you like to walk, a car is not a necessity.

Reviewed By Grzegorz SWe have stayed in the hotel for a night with family. The room was pretty okay, and what you would normally expect in a small German hotel. Most importantly it is located in a silent area which resulted in a very good night sleep. Restaurant is integrated with the hotel, though we did not try it.

God facilities, poor service
Reviewed By 535markopInfrastrucrure is very good. Shuttle bus is free of charge, precise and function exceptionally sheduled with trains. We liked whole concept with various activities. Enough space indoors. Minus is sunbeds which are occupied the whole time. It should be used by need, not reserved with personal towels unlimited time. However, sevice is poor. Not very kind personal on counter, not very qualified as well. Basic mistakes, and you will not hear "we are sorry for inconviniece". Many employees do not speak english, and seem that they dont care about it at all. Restaurant palm beach was a story for it self. We get wrong order, extra drinks charged. Glutenfree dish was specially repeated to waiter, and we got a cesar salad without crutons, BUT with bread on top of salad. When we said to waiter that we ordered glutenfree, he easily picked the bread with bare hands!?!?!, and put it on another dish on the table!!! When we complained, we gott another dish. Chief waiter was standing there without saying any sorry or trying to fix the issue. I think more of the half of stuff is polite and decent, but the rest is just below the acceptable level. Even concept is unique, infrastructure is very good, I have to think twice about next visit because of poor service.
