Reviewed By by_norkuteWe stayed in this pension, monastery, 3 nights in summer time. LOCATION: on the hill in small city old town, 15mins walk from Spisska Castle. PARKING: Inside pension is quite big parking place ROOMS: we stayed in one bedroom apartment. It had a big spacious main room with double bed, and table with chairs. The bathroom was also big one and really nice. All rooms are authentic, nice and interesting to stay. HOTEL: nice building inside and outside (with green territory). RESTAURANT: amazing food and wine. You really can try delicious meals as in one of best restaurants. Many people come here from other cities only to eat (prices are normal, not as in restaurant, general). Recommend for short stay

I like him very much :) I really love the view from our room it more nice at night when we look at the castle it is amazing, that night I was sleep early bcoz been on long trip and in mid of the night my husband wake me up and carry me for looking at the castle from the window hahaha I should stay there longer but we need to go back Nitra for dinner with family and prepare our wedding... from Cambodia Best regards Liza (Ms)

Nice, clean, cheap, good service
Reviewed By OyaLemWas very pleased with this accomodation! The staff doesn't really speak in english but we managed eveything anyway. Location is close to the Spis castle and the rooms at the back have view of the castle. The price is very good, but the place lacks lighting, so if you have a book - leave it in your car. Safe parking at the back of the building.

un oasi nella natura
Reviewed By barbaravignolain viaggio per il castello di spissky hrad troviamo da dormire in questo b&b. posto stupendo. dietro la casa si apre la natura. cani affettuosi, conigli, mucche. pace e tranquillità della natura. la casa adibita al b&b è molto carina. tutto l'interno è in legno, in stile montano. noi eravamo in 4 e ci hanno assegnato un appartamento con 2 una piccola zona giorno ed il bagno. la colazione non era fornitissima ma comunque con una buona scelta. proprietari molto carini e disponibili unico difetto sicuramente per un b&b prezzo leggermente alto. in 4 abbiamo speso 100 euro.

Reviewed By kuruka169Při naší návštěvě Spišského hradu, který jsme spolu s jinými zajímavostmi v jeho okolí chtěli vidět, jsme našli ubytování v soukromí, v části Spišského Podhradí, "U lekárky". Byli jsme moc mile přivítáni pohárkem hruškovice, pokoje byly velice útulné a čisté a měli jsme z okna pohled přímo na Spišský hrad, který byl v noci osvětlen a tak podívaná na něj v noci byla úchvatná. S ubytováním jsme byli velmi spokojeni, je to bez jídla, ale k dispozici je velmi pěkná vybavená kuchyň, kde jsme si mohli připravit snídaně nebo večeře. Určitě můžeme doporučit a my se sem rádi někdy vrátíme.

A bit strange, fantastic view of the castle, OK for a night

We booked it for one night whilst visiting Spisske Pohradie, and it was adequate especially for the price, however I left with mixed feelings about the place. To avoid a long review, I listed the good and bad points below: Good: - Castle views and proximity to castle and town - Swimming pool - Friendly and helpful waitress - Free private on site parking - Fridge and kettle in the room - Price Less good: - Our bathtub flooded the bathroom floor - Water in bathroom tasted and smelled bad (we were told it was OK when we questioned it) - Average food quality in the restaurant (I had bryndzova halusky with almost no bryndza cheese... breakfast omelette was enormous, lumps of salt) - Owner's home and reception should be separated (owner greeted us with no shirt on, whilst eating his lunch in conservatory/reception) - Too much clutter outside (a good cleanup and de-clutter would improve the property and make it more comfortable and coordinated) - Proximity to animals (pigeons on site and sheep next door - lots of flies during hot weather) - No proper check-out procedure - no farewell was given to us when we left, we just dropped off the keys and left Our stay was OK for one night, but I would probably not return to this property again based on the negatives listed above.
