Attractive Contemporary Hotel overlooking the Aurajoki River, 1 km from train station & 8 km from airport.
The room need some refreshing/maintenance but overall it was a very comfortable stay and the location is NOT at the town square where it is still under major construction. A quieter stay in comparison with excellent buffet breakfast

Modern hotel located right in the centre of the city, close to the River Aura and trendy Vähätori square. All the city's major sights and entertainment highlights are within easy reach of our hotel, including museums and Turku Castle. All of the shopping centres, the marketplace and market hall, and the University of Turku are also all within walking distance. Scandic Julia is the 1st hotel in Turku to receive the Nordic Ecolabel according to its new criteria.
Turku has quite a bit to see and do in Finland. We stayed at four other Scandic hotels and this one had large rooms, better priced with a good location. Staff was very friendly. Rooms not on the main street were very quiet.

We didin't get any good customer experience. We had the twin room. Beds were together as a queen-size-bed. We asked about it, and the answer were that guests could move beds themselves. Luckily soon staff came and moved beds. The worst part were door to the shower and toilet! There were not a proper door. Your roommate could see and here everything through the door!!! Very awkward! We asked, if we could take breakfast a little bit before (breakfast starts 6.30). The answer was a rude NO. Staff did not even asked how much before we would like to attend to the breakfast (5-10minutes would have been great for us, so we would still snatch our bus.) Our other group in the bus told us, that every other hotel in Turku were really flexible when to start breakfast. These hotels were Centro, Wiklund and Scandic. You should choose these hotels instead! The most unpleasant thing were that stuff were rude. They did not were sorry about anything. We would have been little bit more happy, if the stuff would have been sorry about the issues and polite apologies would have been nice. Hotel location is good but avoid this hotel!

I stayed here in March 2022. The Hotel itself is located on a hill not far from the river. In winter it can be a little tricky to reach it by foot because of ice and snow. There are normal rooms (as seen in the pictures) and then there are also special rooms in real cells. They are smaller, don't have a shower and no TV. If you want to have the real prison feeling, try one of those rooms out. I stayed in one and it was a funny experience, although next time I'd prefer a normal room again. ;) The internet was very fast (~30Mbit/s). The breakfast was basic but good. Overall very clean and the staff was very friendly.

The iconic Hamburger Börs has been hosting guests in the best location since 1894 – right in the centre of Turku by the Market Square. The elegantly refurbished hotel will open its doors again in November 2021, providing unforgettable hotel experiences in a modern setting. The new, modern Hamburger Börs provides peaceful accommodation in the hotel’s new annex, where beautifully designed rooms equipped with air conditioning ensure a great night’s sleep. A versatile room selection caters for all needs. Some rooms overlook the Market Square while others face the tranquil courtyard. The spacious top-floor suites feature arched windows with window nooks that invite you to sit back and admire the city life. The new annex on the courtyard side is built in a style respecting the architectural features of the early 20th century. The reception, the airy lobby and the spacious lounge area are located here. The hotel’s versatile restaurant offering can also be found here. The restaurant, heated winter garden and outdoor terrace are on the ground level, while Sky Bar with its large rooftop terrace is located on the 9th floor. A comfortable stay is completed with the stylish relaxation suite and modern gym. The Art Nouveau wing, a protected part of the hotel built in 1885, offers a unique setting for hosting meetings, conferences, banquets and family get-togethers in facilities equipped with modern technology. The hotel is easy to reach with everything close by. Its central location right next to the Market Square near the Aurajoki River ensures good connections, and all the most popular shopping streets, restaurants, cafes and sights are nearby. The hotel has its own garage and there is also a large public garage in the immediate vicinity.
Solo Traveler Visiting for Three days. The Scandic Hamburger Bors was a wonderful hotel. I would stay there with my family, as a solo travel, or for a work trip. The pros and cons Pros: - Staff was friendly and accommodating at check-in. Shared all info pertaining to Sauna hours, breakfast, the rooftop bar, and were glad to offer restaurant recommentations - Breakfast - they do a true Finnish breakfast buffet. you will not go away hungry. You have the rice pies, plenty of fresh breads, pastries, eggs, sausages, fruits, It is a really good buffett and will keep you filled for the whole day. - Rooftop Bar: great view of downtown Turku, full bar, nice relaxing atmosphere. - Room: comfortable bed, after a month of traveling having this bed was a godsend. The blackout curtains made the midnight sun irrelevant. Shower had good pressure, and towels. The room slept very well and it was immaculately clean. Cons - I have to search for something wrong with the hotel. It was an excellent place, I mean the only probably I had the whole time was I couldn't find the juice one morning, and that was honetly the worst thing that happened :) so no real negatives. Info: It is about a 20 minute walk from the train station. You are about a five minute walk from the cathedral and the river. It is right on the main square which is still being put back together. Good for: families, business, solo travelers, couples

The hotel is situated in the city centre, close to Turku market square and pedestrian street. When you're staying at the Scandic Plaza hotel you can enjoy the nearby shopping opportunities in the Hansa shopping centre opposite the hotel and explore Turku attractions such as Turku Cathedral.
This is my 2nd week in row in the hotel. What was really nice this week was that cleaning crew left few candy`s every day. Dont know is it accedent but i really enjoyd it . Some time there few candy itop of Wine glases some time over the cofee mugs. coming Back from work to the room and there was always suprise, that was also out off the normal in Hotel . I am guessing this was accident by new cleaner. But i hope it wuold be constant Thing as it is always the liltle thing that make the stay more plesent. Have to say that sandwitch bar was shock last week at 1st . as the restorang in plaza was always good. But got used to it as well but i wuold be nice to have something more like Salads or baked potata. And. If you dont eat seafoor you are limited to 3 differen choises in 4 days Also Sandwitch works as after work snack but wuold be nice to have some more solid Food . If i am Forced move out of hotel to eat i really dont go to other Scandic for Dinner Keep up the good work and see you in couple of weeks

Cosy little Hotel with 7 invidually furnitured rooms. TV and fast broadband in all rooms.A Café and a Bar as well as a Pottery Shop is also found on the premises.
Nagu is a tiny place so the Hotel Lanterna could not be more centred as it is right now. In the middle of everything. As one can read from previous comments it is situated in a previous private house. During our stay they used self check-in which went without any problems according to advice received via SMS. If one does not expect 5-star service and large halls this charming hotel will suit you very well. There's plenty of positive things to tell: clean room with private bathroom (room 11), nice breakfast area, good breakfast in spite of covid-19 regulations, on first floor coffee maker, water cooker and microwave oven, super strong water pressure in shower (best ever) and plenty of hot water, restaurant just over the yard etc. Just a couple of minor negative things: the bathroom floor was a bit too chilly in September and I couldn't find a sink plug. That last one is a fact faced in most hotels I have visited. This is a place with right standards and a good choise for those wanting to have more than just B&B.

Centro Hotel is a modern boutique hotel right in downtown Turku - just a short walk from the market square, shops and museums. The hotel faces the inner courtyard and despite its central location, the atmosphere is tranquil. Trendy decor, modern art and a great breakfast are just a few reasons to choose Centro.
This hotel was perfect for our trip. We didn't spend much time at the Hotel so all we needed was a decent place to sleep, and that is what we got. The room was tidy and comfortable. We didn't have time to visit the gym or sauna, but it was nice to have that option. We spent a lot of time walking around the city and shopping, so it was nice that the hotel was really nearby the city square and on walking distance from all shopping streets and restaurants. If you are looking for parking, get there in time and be prepared to park in some really tight spots. We arrived around six in the evening, just in time to get the last spot.

Spend the night in the maritime atmosphere on board. On board the boat hostel there are 120 comfortable cabins, most of them equipped with shower and WC. The price includes bed linen, towels and breakfast, served in the ship's buffet restaurant. Free morning sauna is heated up in the crew's former quarters. Guests are also provided with wireless internet access (in common areas), luggage storage and self-service laundry facilities. M/S Bore was built in 1960 in Oskarshamn in Sweden. The museum ship has found its rightful place on the River Aura, right next to the Maritime Centre Forum Marinum. The location is ideal: the port of Turku is within easy walking distance, and the No. 1 bus will bring guests from the airport and bus station directly to the hostel. If arriving with your own car there is plenty of free parking. You are also in the perfect spot to start your own walking tour of the River Aura. The reception is open 24/7. Check in time between 3 pm and 9 pm. Welcome!
Great for the retro-kind-of-stay. This ship has probably been beautiful in its days. We stayed for three nights, which is a bit much for my taste and a place like this. The location is great (2 km from the center of the city) and along the pier that one would like to walk along anyway. Many restaurants for drinks along the way, also. The breakfast is basic, the coffee good. The rooms are small and will not serve for much more than a good night's sleep. The night was much more silent than I anticipated. The bathroom is so small you will not be able to have that shower you probably are used to.

Cozy hotel by the Turku harbour and main attraction of Turku Castle.Friendly personal and good food.
The hotel itself is a little dated, but the room was clean, relatively large (for EU standards), and the breakfast was really good. It's within walking distance to the castle, and the cruise terminals are 100 yards away. All in all I highly recommend.
