Desirably located near the white shoreline and crystal-clear waters of South Sands Beach, one of the most unspoilt beaches in South Devon, every element of this new waterfront hotel and resort is inspired by its surroundings – with many of the hotel’s 50 bedrooms and suites boasting superb sea views and balconies. Providing a relaxed beachside feel, the light airy rooms and suites are decorated with different shades of green, blue and mustard yellow colours to reflect the golden sands and turquoise blue of the ocean - with all the little thoughtful touches you would expect from a Harbour Hotel including 400 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, complimentary gin sets from the Salcombe Gin Distillery, and organic Bramley toiletries. Some of the suites feature interconnecting family room options allowing parents to keep an eye on their children while enjoying a little time to themselves. There’s also a beachfront restaurant with a seafood-inspired menu showcasing the best flavours of the region and sweeping sea vistas, a wrap-around terrace and a chilled-out beach bar - Perfect for sandy toes after a day at the beach. Take advantage of the resort’s complimentary all-day shuttle service into town, for a gentle stroll through the boutique-filled streets of Salcombe and its picturesque harbour. For those looking to explore the estuary, the South Sands Ferry runs daily and allows guests to enjoy a picturesque trip to Whitestrand in the centre of Salcombe. For hikers, a sublime stretch of coastline begins at the front door, and the sheltered bay allows for year-round dips.
What a find! We’re regular visitors of Salcombe Harbour, but this beats it. My wife was undergoing treatment and the staff, from booking through to departure, couldn’t have done enough for us. Some very minor issues, to be expected from such a new hotel were dealt with quickly and with grace. Restaurant was a great experience, faultless. First class team, hotel and overall experience. Looking forward to seeing you at the end of the month. Thank you.

The famous Cott Inn in Dartington is one of the oldest thatched inns in Britain. It is reputed to have been built in the reign of Edward II (1307 to 1327) and has been an Inn / Pub since 1320. Situated in the village of Dartington near Totnes, surrounded by beautiful countryside, The Cott Inn is a charming traditional family-run pub. We are proud to serve excellent locally-sourced seasonal food, fine wines and well-kept ales, including daily fish specials and fabulous Sunday roast lunches. Perfect for romantic dinners and evenings out with friends. The Cott Inn is also a great venue for private parties with a separate dining room for up to 30 people. Come and enjoy the relaxed, friendly atmosphere, with cosy log fires in the winter months and a large, pretty garden and patio area in warmer weather.
Why wouldn't someone stay here is the question? It's filled with charm, every single staff member was extremely friendly. The bed was SO comfortable and the room was very modern for such a historic property. The shower was amazing and the bathroom very spacious. We had a delicious breakfast and chatted with the Inn's owners before heading off the next day. This is a busy pub and restaurant - with excellent food and lovely outdoor seating areas - but we were ready for a lively space after 4 days of hiking in Dartmoor. I hope we'll return one day.

Three of us used this little gem of a hotel to base our Dartmoor walks from. The hotel staff were so kind and helpful. Meals were very good. The little bar was a great spot to celebrate after another beautiful day. Yuri and Linda are gracious and experienced at meeting all of their guests needs. I happened to leave something at the hotel and they happily helped out when I found a way to have it forwarded on to my next hotel. This is a lovely hotel in an incredibly beautiful part of the Countryside!

The Ship in Dock Inn is a small family run pub with bed & breakfast accommodation in the beautiful estuary town of Dartmouth. We are located close to the river Dart over looking Coronation Park and within easy walking distance of the main town amenities. The pub has a small intimate bar and dining room, with home cooked Tapas and Pizzas served on selected nights. We do not have our own car park but guests have the use of our passes for the main town car park.
Nice pub with friendly staff and some regulars in the bar and reasonable prices. Room lovely and clean with a river view. Nice touches and decor too. We didn't eat here so cannot review the food. Would probably have passed it over but for the positive reviews, but I'm impressed with the cleanliness and the location for Dartmouth.

An after work meal with five colleagues and a little person! Staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food ordered was reasonably priced, good quality and tasty pub grub - I can recommend the lasagne. Our server (Jamie I think) was great and made sure that we had everything we wanted and kept our little person supplied with colouring sheets and crayons. Chrissie who took our payment was lovely too and told us about the future plans for the Dartbridge - the decor might change but the staff are just fine the way they are!

Very average hotel. Absolutely no charm. Old fashioned. Middle of nowhere. Couldn’t buy water or a chocolate bar, even the petrol station was closed. Mediocre dinner. Noisy bar with sport TV permanently on. Breakfast was nice. Staff nice. Room clean. If it’s convenient and under £65 then fine otherwise Premier Inn is better.
